A request from @reg from about a year ago, The Big I is a landmark skyscraper in Koriyama, Japan.  Having to really tweak textures for this one.

I'm tending toward the second...?

It would be an interesting change of biome, given that most of your landscapes are quite desertic.

For example, the effect of the long shadows on both images is completely different: in the first one it looks like dusk, while on the second it could perfectly be midday, but too far from the equator.

You can't beat a desert for an awesome landscape! Lawrence of Arabia anybody?

I wasn't even aware that there were shadow mods(got a mod for every damn thing in this game) until I tripped over one buried in the BernerOberland terrain mod, a few months ago. The water in the first pic is sucking up the shadow too much, even though the shadows are the same in both pics. Going with the second version.

In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder, and bloodshed.  But they produced Michael Angelo, Leonardo Da Vinci, and The Renaissance.

In Switzerland, they had brotherly love and five hundred years of peace.  And what did that produce?

The cuckoo clock !
