Ever have one of those cities where everything goes wrong. I got half way through this and realized it wasn't working out, so I deleted it. I built it all again, and just about when I was finished, I looked over and noticed the clock was on, and I had been saving. Which means, the city was abandoning as I was making it. So I took this pic, hit the "obliterate" button and...

...built it a third time.

@Barroco Hispano: Looks pretty good as is, maybe a nudge lighter in overall tone, perhaps a smidge more towards the yellow end of the green spectrum..

In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder, and bloodshed.  But they produced Michael Angelo, Leonardo Da Vinci, and The Renaissance.

In Switzerland, they had brotherly love and five hundred years of peace.  And what did that produce?

The cuckoo clock !

Messing with reflective appearances without GMAX's ability to do reflective textures (clearly some work still to be done).  Also, a diagonal skyscraper to break your downtown grids.  This will be the fictional 55-story KarafutOil Building.

Someday, you must tell me what this expression your translator mangled is. There used to be an expression "duck and cover" which was what you were supposed to do when the nukes started flying. Because you'd be safe under your school desk. *

No Water Mod?

When I started the Wisconsin regions, I was not aware of a glare diffuse-r mod, so I decided to just use the atomic blue default, because it's the easiest to shop. By the time rivet turned me on to the mod, I had already built and took pics of a region and a half. I don't hate the game blue like others. It tends to look pretty decent, though not very realistic. I've learned a lot of things from doing this region, mostly about game time, many new tricks for taking pics, and a few other things. Every problem solved in a current project is one I wont have to deal with in the next project.

Which I'll be starting shortly, as I just finished up Wisconsin today. Started June 13, 360 cities in 9 regions, other than pasting together pics, it is officially finished today, December 7, a day that will be remembered for this amazing accomplishment...or something. *

West Bend, just north of Holy Hill

Basilica and National Shrine of Mary Help of Christians, commonly known by Wisconsinites as Holy Hill. Mountaintop churches and monastaries
are common in most of the world, not so much the US. This pic was the inspiration for my tree combinations.

I dont use any translators my Friend. I learnd my English from my 1st GF. She was from GB and didnt know one Word of German. So i needed to talk to English with her :-P Its a bit like: Hit and run... more German slang, like US.
