The very first thing I did in this new city, almost 3 years ago, was build these rail tunnels under the river and as silly as it may sound, it was THESE tunnels and the resulting corridor of tracks that lead me to push myself to learn much more about creating textures and lotting than I ever thought I would.  But it is a good feeling when you look back at how it started and then see what it has become...

And of course you have help along the way - @rivit and @rsc204 especially were really patient and helpful to me!

I like to do these integrated developments where I take anywhere from 2 or more buildings and maybe adjacent transit plazas, parks, or pedestrian corridors and combine them together to create cohesive new neighborhoods.  I am almost finished West Yards and I think maybe these two buildings are more perfectly integrated together than anything I have done so far - the building to the right has that sub-level terrace which makes it seem you can just walk right into the lower level of the building next to it.  Anyway it was fun to do...

@JulianMIA, it looks like you resolved the tilling issues on foundations, is that right? Either way even though some tunnel entrances seem like a small detail, you’ve done a fantastic job of making them realistic. This is absolutely the kind of thing I’ll obsess over. I can also relate to a time when the idea of me making a texture was absurd, next thing you know...

Wrapped up the set of era-adaptive growable trees that I was working on this week. The completed set contains fifteen grow patterns with twelve different species of CP's trees (eight seasonal + four evergreen). More than 3,200 custom prop exemplars all told. Looking forward to lotting with these.

(Also, just wanted to quickly say: That's some really impressive work, @JulianMIA. The attention to detail is great, and I'm amazed at how well those custom foundation textures work in-game.)

These are looking really nice!  I obsess over the trees and greenery in my city.  I had created about 30 different customized textures of grass for my lots (mostly all very similar to each other lol).  Until I realized I really was just getting ridiculous...

I actually did not figure out the tiling issue though, it's still a problem.

To recap for anyone else interested(!):  I wanted to build the wall lots out of longer than 1x1 lots so that seams between lots would be eliminated and the wall would look its best - so I make each of the wall lots whatever length it needs to be - 5x1, 22x1, whatever.  And as long as the lots are placed along the X axis they display fine but if you place them on a Y axis the game takes the single texture square and instead of repeating it, stretches it for the entire length of the lot obviously ruining the effect.  When I need walls on a Y axis lot I am limited to just using a very plain concrete which, when stretched, still looks decent.

I have found that most lots in the game actually do this - but I have no idea why.  I have found a very few lots which are big office buildings which do not do it, they do display the foundation texture on the Y axis properly, but again I do not understand all the exemplar settings in a why that has let me figure out if this is controllable or not.

Anyway just in case someone wants to chew on this issue for a little...

Finally got some time to put the finishing touches on this scene: a monastery plus a few old buildings on an island in a lake.

And here a look at the lake in the region view, I coincidentally shaped it while terraforming in a way that it looks a bit like a squirrel, so I just made it perfect by giving the squirrel an eye:

I've been working on making changes in the new development areas to increase pedestrian walkability - one of the main ways has been to force streets through an underpass allowing for pedestrians to seamlessly move between whole developments and even cross neighborhoods.  Have lots of pedestrian space was one of the cornerstones of what I wanted the new city to be.

Still working on some of these areas.

Yo, guy --

That is some seriously good stuff.  The detail is absolutely "First Class" and your attention to texture and color blending is superb!  The idea of a more "pedestrian friendly" and "walk-able" city is something we could all work on.  And yet -- you still find room for "green" spaces.

Some more shots from Wilhelmshaven South --

Since @The British Sausage likes landscapes and water ways -- here are some close-ups.

This is a detail shot of the pub I mentioned in the last post.  The "Reuter Anchor" has been on the same spot for over a hundred years and started as a small fishing pier way back when.  Note that in addition to a dining room and overnight accommodation, there is also an "al-fresco" patio dining / drinks area on the way down to the boat docks.  You can also reach "Reuter's Island" (they own a mess - o - land, hereabouts) via a nifty pedestrian bridge (courtesy of @rsc204).

 

This is the east end of the island.  You see the boat dock, two care-taker / operator's cottages, and an administration building with a small pub on the ground floor.  The island was developed as a recreation facility in a joint venture by the family and the city.  In the middle of the island is a well maintained soccer field.

 

Across the creek to the north, the railroad avoided property disputes by cutting through a low area with an embankment and retaining wall.

 

On the west tip of the island, you can get some lovely views from the old Garda Tower, or simply walk the well-tended paths through the forest.

 

As you can see -- the game is on !!  The cheerleaders are out, the stands are full, and the spectators have gathered as the players battle it out.  Some games stretch far into the night.  But if the game is of little interest, the kiosk sells sandwiches and beer, or you can sunbathe on the lawn while the kids run and play.  A very pleasant way to relax on a Saturday afternoon -- and not a bad place to spend part of your evening.
