Continuing my Maxis Highway interchange redevelopment.

Functionally complete, but still a lot of work to do! Narrow weave areas too which I might tweak a bit.

I like how the Wendy’s is more like a  location in a big Downtown area how it pretty much parking and no glass where the road can be. I’d like to see more of them!

This is Industry Stadium. It is the  home of Port Isabelle FC, aka the Schooners and is one of 3 football teams based in Laurentia:

 

It lies east of the Industrial area, and is squeezed into the warehouse district with the seaports intermodal yard to its east. And, to get the parking lot under RHW-4, guard rails and all I created a prop out of the RHW-4 and manually plotted each square. It took over an hour to do that stretch, oy.

Vancouver's new Government District is slowly beginning to come together.  Customs House, Courthouse, Police Headquarters, Stock Exchange and the new City Hall are now fully open.  The entire district was designed to blend in with Vancouver's extensive greenway system.  Dunsmuir Boulevard, which separates City Hall from the Customs and Courthouse buildings, has been redesigned to allow for easy closures for large public events, demonstrations, protests, etc.

That RHW-4 stretch I showed above is called Seaport Expressway. Here is one of the two terminus' of the Seaport Expressway, this one with highway 102.

Continuing the semi abandoned/decrepit look, here is an old Texaco gas station...still WIP .Putting the final touches.
I did not want it to be completely abandoned therefore I made it so it can be made functional in game thus giving you an old 50's Texaco Gas Station 
I will be lotting this with a custom asphalt base texture.

I'm working on "recreating" Asheville, NC ... not faithfully, but using maps and roads and some landmarks for inspiration and guidance. Since I'm on a Mac, there are some things I can't do, but I'm learning how to incorporate MMPs and having fun finding Mods, Lots and BATs that so many of you have inspired me with!

@DavidDHetzel & @nycsc4 - I have been shocked by the number of parking lots in downtown Asheville. Also... I swear there is a church every two blocks. The block where I used to attend church has three. Aaaaand I just got the prop pox, so now I'm dealing with that. Sad panda.

@RRetail I used to go to the Mall Goober based the RLS Mall off of. But I can't remember much of what was there.

Would be cool if you could make an accurate version of the entire complex

@RRetail I don't remember where I read this, but I am pretty sure Goober said he based it off of the Cloverleaf Mall in RIchmond, VA.

But there is an issue, Cloverleaf got torn down in the late 00s.



the Mall had an issue with Crime a lot so they eventually tore it down and built a Kroger shopping center in its place. (I also think the entrance is newer than what Goober based his off of)

Really all you'd have to do is remake the Anchor stores, here's a link to some shots.

@DavidDHetzel Something to think about I suppose, but I think I'd rather make a new mall from scratch or base it off of one I've personally gone too.

Also, I’m from St. Louis which has hundreds of surface lots and quite literally hundreds of churches...especially of the Catholic variety.  Google Rome of the West.

I'm on a Mac and haven't figured out how to use the fix or even if I can. I've posted a thread about it in the Mac forum, so hopefully there is an answer. Regardless, the fix is brilliant.
