Now that's a kind of rip-off I certainly don't mind seeing. :D

A bit of ongoing very high density construction. Normally I would call it a random skyscraper jungle, but I tried to keep a theme in mind when growing/plopping. This isn't a CBD, either... the CBD will have the real skyscrapers! I have yet to use MMPs and do other beautification work (saving it for last) so it's still a bit rough around the edges.

Nice design feel, but aesthetically I am longing for some greenery...

Well by coincidence i am also developing a similar (although smaller) residential zone with some buildings you are using. I like it and i think it looks close to irl asian cities. I especially love the design of the roads and infrastructures.

Some suggestions:

Like gviper said, i am also missing some greenary. There are a bunch of options you have: a) natural mayor ploppable with dragabble paths. b) asian temples with natural mayor ploppable c) a stadium or a major art museum or something among it with a mayor ploppable and park trails. d) etc.

I would make an irregular road layout (for example, with a bunch of far and curves, or in a roundabout shape) and make a park in it, or near the river maybe.

One more suggestion is to mix more comercial midrises there, because irl cities in asia have a bunch of those i think (you may correct me).

Oh and please turn the Comalco Place around!!! xD

But i like it, very nice work and this kind of layout and buildings are very very very hard to pull of at least for me ;)

If you're referencing the more squat ones, those are from bixel's fabulous MidRise Residentials Pk1: https://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/24520-midrise-residentials-pk-1/

I'm thinking that the red/white one that's slightly taller than the other ones is from a different pack, but I'm not sure which one (I know for sure it's from a pack by bixel though).

Thanks Mushy (the other one, the red, i already have). Btw, how do you plop them? Are they under the landmark menu? If not, which is their names in the "building plop" cheat?

;)

Unfortunately, bixel really never made LMs of his residential BATs. His stuff is also a serious pain to find in the building plop tool since he only put a prefix on a handful of his releases so you have to search for 'em by the name of the building.

The 4 buildings in the pack are named (no idea which one is which): Lau Building, San Choi Building, San Shui Building, Sang Mo Building

Ehehe turns out i already had them, nice :)... But your name indication was very helpfull. For someone with the same doubt as mine, just search the name, e.g. "Lau Building" in the plop tool. Btw is there any chance that we can search with the keyboard in that tool instead of just scrolling down and up?

Now, i am working on a facelift in Rhioto, transition from semiurban suburbs to rural and nature. Please ignore inconsistencies as they are natural. I would also ask for some suggestions...

Well, this area is near an dirty/manu industrial zone, and has some florest and some small villages...

Show%201_zpsj7fzvjfh.jpg

This part will have a totally facelift, for it to be somehow similar to the first pic:

Show%203_zpsiuxz6zul.jpg

The highrises here will have to go, since i don't feel confortable with them being so closer to semirural environment... Will probably leave one or two and build an HT industrial complex, with some residentials surrounding it. I would need a program to do models of a development (just an bird eye view, i don't know the name, the user that posted a very cool downtown last page made one like that), so if someone has one, please tell me.

Show%202_zpskquiirvz.jpg

A lot of buildings on the right side of that avenue will have to go, since this is a poor area.

Don't know if i am happy with a tunnel here. Some suggestions related to how to do a bridge (with this kind of plopabble water)?

Show%205_zpss7wwbcta.jpg

I would also like a suggestion on bridge problem in this photo (i have a concept to work with but i am not sure if it will be good)

Show%208_zpsqrayb347.jpg

How to make this water transition look natural? No sense in polluted water there, so i have to make a transition, not sure how... Does someone have an idea? Thanks :D

Show%209_zpsckyanvvw.jpg

This two are almost finished... Would you guys change something?

Show%206_zpslwczavtv.jpg

Show%207_zpsuhvposk6.jpg

Thanks and will apreciate feedback since i realy need it ;)

Exciting! More towers!

Your Towers of Steel Project has always piqued my interest - especially since it helps remedy the noticeable lack many of lattice tower BATs. I haven't had a chance to use any of the ones I've downloaded yet since I haven't developed a mountainous rural tile in a while, but I'm sure they'll look great when I get around to using them.

Thanks! :D
I've been meaning to release a whole bunch of them but I'm still trying to figure out how to get them properly rendered through 3ds max since its much more suitable than gmax for rendering structures that have fine lines(or really anything for that matter). Problem is I don't have a lot of patience dealing with and trying to figure out the technical stuff like why a program isn't working right. Waiting to hearing back from a few people who've offered to help in the past, though its been a while now... :(  Mmight just have to go ahead and release some of the gmax versions in the mean time.

Hmm something does seem a little off with that tunnel. I think using a tunnel there is fine but maybe the entrances should be future apart? Or maybe you can use some sort of concrete cover right up to the river edge. Here's an example of what I mean regarding the concrete cover over the top of the tunnel;

As for the bridge, I would recommend using ploppable bridge in that situation such as this for example;

Wow, very impressive work everyone! Haven't checked out this thread in a while. I've been playing SC4 a lot recently as well. However, the state of what I'm working is nowhere near done. One day though. ;)
