What's the story behind these kinds of buildings? Were they originally built as immigrant tenements, and are they still?

Wau!, is an amazing job my friend, it feels like you are to overcome, a funny fact, the roof seems made of wooden planks

Tower 67 Apartments:

I had an uncle - he passed away many years ago - who was a very talented painter. He used to paint the plazas and buildings of Rome.

But he was also a great football fan. And so sometimes and quite hidden he painted football players instead of angels on the facade or the roman imperators on the friezes (right word?). On first sight you wouldn' have noticed it. He was a real artist in hiding his passion in his pictures.

Err ... but why I was telling this?

Ah .. right. Because I wanted to make a childish suggestion and needed an introducion. On the balconies there could be a little variation. For my uncle they would have been perfect places to hide some football players. Not that I want to tell you to hide there some football players too. But you could hide there something else. Only on a few of the balconies: people, plants ... clothes on a line. Don't know. Maybe there are only some blurs of colour here and there what I am missing. Maybe I'm wrong. Don't know nothing about batting.

Err ... but I could tell another story about my painting uncle. He had a dreadful boring job at a minstry. When he came home from work he went immediatly to his studio and painted for one or two hours. He needed that. Than he felt better. Then he retired. Now he had the time to paint the whole day. But strangely he hadn't the desire anymore. Often he wondered: "Now that I have the time I ran out of idears." It is somewhat strange but it seems he needed to have a boring job to be creative in his spare time. This remembered me of the words of a famous german writer who once said: I had only the mood to write great stuff when I was in trouble.

Don't ask. I either don't know why I am telling this.

hi

not sure if the right place to post this but I installed about 7 of the nybt bats and theyre great, however I also previously used the rci query mod () and it seems after installing all of the nybt stuff, something has taken over the query mod so it doesnt display its data, and instead it shows an nybt logo and nybt bat team icon whenever I query anything. The cap info from the rci query doesnt display.

would anyone be able to explain why this might occur and how to restore the rci query while using the nybt buildings ?

thanks

Are you referring to NYBT buildings only, or do ALL of your buildings behave that way?

Generally, the NYBT Essentials contain a UI query mod. This mod makes all NYBT buildings display the NYBT query UI. Without the NYBT Essentials in place, the NYBT buildings wouldn't show a query UI at all.

However, this should leave all of the non-NYBT buildings (Maxis and BATs alike) untouched, i.e. they should continue to show the same query UI as before - in your case, the one that has been modded by Equinox.

I'm not sure I understood your post correctly, though. It sounds a bit as if the NYBT query UI now came up for ALL buildings. If so, could you post a screenshot?

yes sorry, to clarify, the NYBT query UI would come up on every building I queried, including non-NYBT and commercial etc which I found odd, but it now sounds like this is not the intended behaviour.

For now, to restore the equinox mod, I found the NYBT query UI bits in the NYBT essential dependency plugin folder, and moved it out of there. (assuming this breaks querying nybt buildings but didnt check that yet).

when I have a chance I will put it back into the plugins folder and reproduce with a screenshot.

thanks for your response.

OK, wait a second. I just suspected something, and bingo: If you check the description for you'll find this bit:

If you wish to replace the standard Maxis query windows with the NYBT custom windows, unzip the file NYBT_maxis_query_replace into the plugin folder. Remember to use NYBT essentials main file in order to see the custom headers.

It looks like you accidentally did just that. Now the game has two replacements mods for all standard query windows, when it can obviously only use one at a time. Theoretically, all you should have to do to get back to the scenario I outlined above is to remove the file NYBT_maxis_query_replace from your plugins. The rest should be able to remain as is.

no worries, I thought i wld be able to use the standard query mod, but have the nybt stuff appear if I clicked on one of their buildings, but sounds like that isnt possible. No problem, thanks again for your help.

perhaps to 'bat' will help keep your mind busy...

my grand mother of 103 and months passed away recently as well, she will be missed

I was fortunate to be able to be at the funeral; also to, knowing her for the times passed

Thank you guys I'm so sorry for not being so active this year. Here's a small update, I need to work on the nights and work on the bricks on the back of the building, I think they need to be a little darker.
