Always great to see more of you're completed work, and it looks like it'll complement any city that it appears in :D

And nice to see you added some variation in the roof texture as well, not something most people do with their BATs.

Congrats on the latest release - another top-notch upload! :golly:

T Wrecks- Thank you, and yep you got that right buddy. Do you like it or not, I hyope you do?

As for your new technique, I wouldn't say that I don't like it (I certainly like the concept!), but I'd say it needs some work. You see, when bricks are painted and plastered over and the paint/plaster comes loose, you'll typically see stuff flaking off, crumbling away, leaving an uneven, fractured surface. Your walls, however, look very smooth.

IMO, the look it's conveying right now is that of a flat wall that has been painted twice, and the upper paint has been washed with a soft sponge to a point where the lower paint coat will shine through, or the upper paint coat has been washed entirely away.

I think the wall needs some more grain to it, maybe even by means of a bump map. Maybe a more grainy and defined texture (instead of the softer smudges) would already do the trick, too.

Anyway, it's good to see you chugging along doing what you're best at while still trying out new stuff to hone your skills. :)

Borgmästarjojje- Thank you, I'm going to try to finish up the Beekman Hotel Tower. :)

T Wrecks- Thank you, I love what you have said. I think the bump map would look great on the peeling of the paint. Maybe I need to give it a try, but it does not need to be so strong because were not up close to the building. :)

    Beekman Hotel Tower

Here's an update on the beekman Hotel Tower, I have added more detail to the back of the building. I still have more to do to finish, but its getting there. :D

Looks good so far, but I just found this image on Emporis. It looks like the top of the building is slightly wider. The 4 stone column like areas between the windows should align all the way up the building, even at the top where it narrows. So If you looked directly at on of the sides you would see continuous lines. But maybe yours are aligned and it's just the rendered angle throwing me off.

Also, I doubt it's original, but there's the small glass enclosures or either side of the top portion that give it a little more visual interest.

I have a request, if I may share it with you, oh great Aaron.  :D 330 7th avenue, two blocks south of the Madison Square garden. I think it's a beautiful old building with slick, but yet detailed facades. It would make me very happy if you took the time to recreate it for me. I know it's your kind of buildings.

Merry christmas and happy BATting!  :)

I think the image link is already broken. I can't see any image in your update post.

    65 E. 193 Street

Well, I think I'm back. I'm at a point that I do not want to bat anymore, but here's an update on 65 E. 193 Street. :(

I think my morale is so low right now and it needs to be brought up. :(

I think you are losing interest in Batting right now because of the lack of a challenge... maybe all you need is to do something really big... you know... like try something huge... maybe batting something from around the downtown area... or maybe batting some of those buildings in downtown Brooklyn... OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOR maybe you just need to rest a bit... =p

I'd agree with the comment about maybe try something seriously different than the residential you have been doing recently.

    Some ideas

    - play

    - try your hand at helping the NAM team

    - get out of NY (gasp).  Really though, maybe a change of BAT scenery will give you a mickup

    - make a park....
