So not a single person has been able to spot the new ramp interface that I had developed in my previous picture? Well, here's another chance to redeem yourselves: can you find the new ramp interface in this?

You are talking about the inside exit right? Correct me if I'm wrong, but those are FLEX right?

I assume thats impossible with the current NAM? Amazing stability there!

I would definitely call that "spotting it". But anyway, I didn't notice myself, but I love the concept! Been waiting for something like that for a long time now  I assume there will be similar ramps for 8S and 10S?

Define flex.

That could be referring to the stability related to the FlexHT and draggable Road viaducts (all of which is already available), not the ramp interface itself. As of what other ramps will be added, that's on a wait-and-see basis.

What I mean is, are they adaptable to any RHW network, or is it like the FARR puzzle piece version which is only available for 6S.

That's pretty phenomenal. I'd say just use a tunnel if you could. If it wasn't factories, I'd say use the FLUP with subway connection but that only works with passenger traffic. :)

Came up with this little nifty interchange earlier today, there's two versions so I'm going to ask, which one is better?

I'd say that it depends on how much you need that extra ramp in the second one. Admittedly, the first one looks nicer in my opinion, but if vehicles need that extra ramp, then there's no reason why you can't include it. It doesn't look bad either way :)

I was thinking the first one aswell, if side roads get over capacity I'll add that ramp in.

Thanks for the kind words about my interchange to all who commented :)

I had actually tried that at first; my plan was to have the entrance from the ramp but also a tunnel to get there.  However, I opted for no tunnel because it would take up more space; I couldn't seem to fit it in very well.  I'm reconsidering it, though, since I do think something needs to be done to complete the access here.  Trucks shouldn't be a problem since they already can exit through the ramps, and they never go the opposite way (into the factories) in SC4.

Both of them look great and very smooth.  I would say the second is the best since it adds the missing connection without taking away from the number of lanes on the other ramp.  I guess the only downside to it is that it takes up a little more space, though this is of course only important if you want to pack a lot of dense development around it and space will be at a premium.

Well, cosmetically, I'd just add a FLUP piece with subway connections to allow passenger traffic to get to work :) I love FLUPs because they're so compact and work pretty much everywhere. I'd love to see what you do, though, regardless of how you do it.

looks good. it'd look more realistic if you got rid of the trees inside of the interchange imo.

Dunno quite what to call this:

I'd put the roundabout on the north section, rather than the south. Otherwise it looks great!

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

Just kidding, that would be overkill.

But seriously, I think it looks fine on the south. I would just recommend turning the road to the south into an avenue the whole way down, because there's no way for that transition from avenue to road to look aesthetically-pleasing.

We officially have 100 pages of interchanges in this thread. Woohoo!

Anyway, here's a recent interchange of mine, and it's a bit of a weird one...

Unlabeled_zps335d6a63.png

In concept, this thing is just a standard, boring T-Interchange. However, I had to build around the road that inconveniently cuts straight through the middle of the interchange. Also, it's built for avenues and not RHW, which makes it even more special I guess.

Here it is a little more zoomed out:

Zoomedoutunlabeled_zps0bbfc4d5.png

Oh hey, it's our old buddy from one of my previous posts on this page! :thumb:

Now then, let's get some labels on this thing and I'll try to explain my plans for this setup.

Zoomedoutlabeled_zps9c61f915.png

Much better. This view shows the reasoning for my strange setup. The terminating road of the T-interchange connects our main road (the road that leads to downtown, the convention center, and the airport - essentially, everywhere commuters and tourists want to go) to the passenger / cruise ship port. The road cutting through the middle of the interchange provides easy access between the industrial areas and the shipping port, so that freight trucks can avoid the busy and tourist-y main road. This setup should ensure that the pretty / aesthetically pleasing sections of the city are easily accessible to tourists.

I understand your reasoning samness7, but I'm not so sure that the folks in your 'High Wealth' area would take too kindly to being sandwiched in between the Passenger Port (lots of noise from the departing 'riff raff') and the Shipping Port (lots of noise & potential foul odors). And then there's the increased traffic (both auto & freight trucks) noise & pollution those two will bring to the area.

Yeah,I see your point. I was only considering the fact that there was a beautiful view of the port from there. I might replace the RES with some nice hotels instead.
