Then they can use some creativity! Consider the building an embassy or other facility which uses a foreign flag. Ones such as the hundreds of businesses here, there and everywhere that use the flag of their home country in the lawns and atop the roofs of their offices abroad.

Hi Kellydale - can you clarify something please - the KPMG Building, that's not abandoned too is it?  I believe you were pointing out to the other one beside it but I just needed to ask as I do not know it's correct name.

Some of your abandoned buildings look so awesome, like Trump Chicago. Please finish it as a random building if you have to.

 

The Linda Swampy Pharmaceuticals ''lookalike'', looks so good it'd be a waste not to finish it, on top of that, it doesn't even look that much alike.

 

U of W Science Complex looks great, including the cleaness and especially the roof windows.

UPDATES

 

Bay Adelaide Centre West

Well, I'm actually happy that I procrastinated on uploading this one! I've made many revisions since I first created it...

 

A) Going to make the building glass feel a little more busy. IMO it seems like it's abandoned!

B) Changing some textures around, there's obviously some light leaking from the wall wash lights. May make the lobby more busy also, personally I prefer to have nice clean open lobbies. I do need an opinion on the lighting arrangement throughout the skyscraper floors! What do you guys think? Too orange? Too random?

 

C) As you can see all the improvements I've made throughout the time it's been sitting in limbo! haha

 

 

Eight Avenue Place
Did a lot of improvements on this one! Just a few more geometry fixes then I can continue modelling the rest of the building. Once again, this building has a messy scene... but it's almost cleaned up now! Just the roof slope need work, and the vertical frames need to be brought down to the bottom of the cladding... and a few other minor things!

 

 

Aura at College Park
So for those of you who are not watching the Aura construction forums at UrbanToronto.ca, or Skyscraperpage.com or even Skyscrapercity.com...

 

THE TOWER IS NEARING THE TOPPED OUT POINT! This means that I need to get to work on this one. I said that I would bat the building as the real building was being built.

Occupants have been moving in almost every week now! Nearly all the podium floors are already occupied. The cladding is nearly keeping up with the height of the building.

So here is what I have so far...

The real thing has some geometry changes compared to the renderings! But so far I've changed 80% of the details, a few more to go. The texturing is not final... and some feed back on the balcony size from you guys would be helpful because I feel that the panes look too large haha

I do have to say though... THIS IS A MASSIVE RESIDENTIAL! I will definitely make it as a ploppable hotel too.

 

 

Voda Place

Working on this one, and this will probably be released next! Going to ornament the exterior a little more too.

 

But I have a question for the batters... anyone know what this is?

 

I removed the texture and it's still there! haha. It looks like ropes or something. I think I might leave it because it makes the building look a little less deliberate. But I'm curious... anyone know? haha

Voda Place eh?  Water Place?  Voda (вода) is water in Serbian...LOL.      That's the only word I learnt from some of my Serbian classmates...I must have looked stupid (or annoyed them) saying voda everytime i saw them...youth...jeje.

Aura looks pretty good. I like your version better than the real thing because it doesn't have those even floors height as you can see in the picture showing the balconies. The roof still needs work but we will not know what that will look like yet until the building is topped out. I have lots of constructions  pics of Aura and only massive developments in Toronto. Really cool seeing them come to life in Sim City.

The "ropes" on voda place are really strange seeing as they're still there when you remove the texture although i have no idea how to fix it.

It doesn't look to out of place though, it sort of looks like someones been drawing on the roof with chalk

And yes, Voda means water in Serbian and Russian. Vodka is a Russian word I believe, and is commonly referred to "Water Of Life" or "Little Water". Just like my other condos (Vohcem), it's named after something Russian.

I just have one building to update for you guys atm!

Eighth Avenue Place

I exported the day version of Eighth Avenue Place, and it's not bad!

 

There are a few things that I'm going to revise before the final export, the major one is making the glass more reflective at 90 degrees. Kind of like Simfox's Nabrenayuyaufyfjhur74e tower (or w.e. you call it).

 

Started working on the night lights though! Nothing is final, there are too many things wrong with the night lights. The corona's lights are not centered, the lobby lights are too bright, and I'm experimenting with the reflective ground plane. I'm always using the same materials, so I thought I'd hunt for some and try them out!

 

I modelled a lot of the lobby so it would look better in the day time, unfortunately a lot of the stuff I modelled doesn't even show up! I'll definitely work on making the lobby a bit more realistic! (:

EAP looks great! Are you only doing the first tower? Tower 2 is almost complete IRL and if you need any pics I'm still willing to provide...

 

BTW, Tower 2 is identical but shorter and may be pretty easy to model based off what you already have done.

A month goes by so fast when you're busy! A lot of great things have happened since then... but I just wanted to make a quick update.

 

As you know through my statuses here on Simtroplis... I have export ready buildings now! I just need to find the time to let my computer be without disturbance and allow an export to happen...
but when it's -53 C (-63.4 F) with the windchill... it's best to stay inside! ahaha 
I'll be exporting another batch of buildings VERY SOON.

 

But I just wanted to show you guys a project nearing completion!

ICE CONDOS

 

Three towers ranging from 31 - 65 floors. 1 office, 2 residential and a connecting podium. Unofficially known as the "swiss cheese" buildings by locals! ahaha

 

 

This is the 55 floor WEST tower... The EAST tower is 65 floors...

This took me a few hours to get this far. Very quick modelling due to the architectural master plans and skinnyness of the building...

This version is a separate tower version, so the base is different. The roof is slightly different, and the lot size is 2x2.
