Hey community! I wondered if anyone considered a fresh take on auto dealerships? There's a need for variety. Chevrolet/Cadillac/Buick/GMC, Fiat, BMW, Volvo, Porsche, Mercedes, Mazda, Nissan, Honda, Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep, Mini, Toyota, Subaru, Ford/Lincoln, Suzuki, Acura, Infiniti, Kia, Hyundai, Lexus, Saab.... Did I get them all? There are so many options to try.

One of our members, mikeseith, started some pretty good dealership lots a few years ago. But there really does need to be an expansion. And not just limit the lots to two and three tiles. There's a need for life-like lots, as in 15-20 tiles wide and long. That sums up my request. This opens the door for some awesome architectural designs and an increase in business traffic. The more lots, the better, especially if they're used as rewards.

You forgot Renault, Renault/Samsung, Chery, Great Wall, JAC, Holden, Mitsubishi, Alpha Romeo, SEAT, Volkswagen, Opel, and Vauxhall. ;)

I have a few suggestions:

  • O2 Arena and/or other O2 peninsula bits. This may include my next suggestion.
  • A chairlift/sky train mode of transport. This is not a monorail. This is a functioning cable car. A lot of mountain areas have this, and even some river crossings (including to the O2 peninsula.
  • An entire central park. There are bits and pieces on the STEX, but I'd love to see a mod that brings these together into one large lot.
  • Also, the googleplex
  • Legoland

Being a Lego fan myself, a Legoland BAT would be really, really cool..

I have tried and failed to try and make my own buildings in the past but its too complex for me to do so. If I could I would make these on my wish list. When I play simcity 4 I do sometimes try and make a realist city, I play on my desktop and use google earth on my laptop to guide me. Mainly I find my self creating my own city or cities like I merge New York City with London or Chicago with Shanghai. The only thing what annoys my OCD is not having all the correct buildings! So here is a wish list...

The Pentagon - Washington, D.C.
Blackpool Tower - Blackpool
Beetham Tower - Manchester
Yorkminster - York
Houses Of Parliament - London
Earls Court - London
Wimbledon - London
Wembley Stadium - London
Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral Of Christ The King - Liverpool
Royal Liver Building - Liverpool
Royal Albert Hall - London
HMS Victory - Portsmouth
BT Tower - London
20 Fenchurch Street aka Walkie-Talkie - London
Stockport Pyramid - Stockport
Luxor Hotel & Casino - Las Vegas
Trafford Centre - Manchester
Ryugyong Hotel - Pyongyang

European Union Building - Brussels

Yes I live in England and my homes are Manchester and London, big family = lots of commute!

Many thanks if people can make these.

Not sure if this is the right place, but could someone please make C$$$ versions of Collins Place, Telstra Corporate Centre, 140 William Street, Grand Hyatt Melbourne.

And also a R$$$ version of Eureka Tower all by Reddonquixote?.

I Have been trying to do it myself but PIM-X no longer works on my machine so any help here would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you Xander Dax

There are some buildings found in New Delhi that make good lots. The only one I have seen is the Lotus Temple. Here are some others:

Rashtrapati Bhavan

Parliament of India

Akshardam Temple

Jama Masjid

Birla Mandir

Jantar Mantar

Qutb Minar

India Gate

Red Fort

These buildings are good because of their unique architecture and the lack of Indian buildings in the STEX and LEX.

The Pyramid Arena in Memphis, Tennessee

250px-PyramidArena.jpg

Night Shot:

http://basketball.ballparks.com/NCAA/ConfUSA/Memphis/pictures/2.jpg

Description:

The Pyramid Arena is likely the most famous and iconic structure in Memphis. It is a 322 foot tall square pyramid built close to the Mississippi waterfront. The panels on the main structure are extremely reflective and it can be blinding to drive towards it if the sun is reflecting off of it. It has a concrete base and at night there is a bright red light on the top and many lights around it illuminating the base and lower portions.

Note: I would really prefer it be BATed the way it used to be, not the way it is now that Bass Pro Shop has bought it and put a big logo on it and insanely large flag on top.

Why this would be beneficial for the game or community:

The building is extremely unique and would fit in well with a skyscraperville, yet isn't really tall.

Here's just a few that I've been thinking about (I'd create them myself as I have SketchUp and a Mac but gmax/3dsmax is Windows-only):

-Monticello and the UVA Lawn

-Bungalow courts (small detached houses around a central green space) like these: bungalow courtsrockaway bungalows

-West African and Caribbean style houses (Nordic architecture comes pretty close with the bright colors but doesn't generally have the overhanging porches): http://www.sierra-leone.org/GSpostcards-6.html, caribbean houses

-1x1 low-density R$$$ housing (the LBT Housepack on LEX has a few)

-Romanian Gypsy houses (very distinctive style) romanian gypsy houses

-Hindu temples to go with the myriad churches, mosques, and pagodas (although the Maxis House of Worship is close enough)

Constanta Abattoir

it was build in the 30s , and at that time it was the largest art deco industrial building in Romania

why should we have iot in SC4?

-because there is a real lack of art deco industrial buildings

-there are some abattoirs but all of them are rural ones, this one is an urban building

-there are never enough art deco buildings

-there is a lack of big industrial buildings

-there are not so many historical industrial buildings

Hi again.. some time ago I posted about the need of truly beautiful buildings.. I see people are looking for the same.. Please, its time to make a realistic St. Paul's Cathedral.. the one in the STEX is far from being realistic.. Someone.. please.. can this Cathedral be recreated?

I was thinking that people should make some more musuems, particularly the neo-classical ones.

Here are a few candidates that I happen to have pictures of.

National Museum of Natural History - Washington DC

Library of Congress - Washington DC

Museum of Modern Art - New York.

The Alexandra Estates, South Hampstead, London
post-40290-0-29669100-1407201214_thumb.j

Description:

This housing development has been used for several BBC shows due to its unique design. It first came to my attention in the series "Primeval" but many may recognize it from "Waking the Dead". The entire complex consists of several buildings over a large area including a park area and an underground road with parking garages and business' to complete a self contained community. The following links contain various images and details of the community.

http://www.lovelondoncouncilhousing.com/2013/10/a-camden-classic-alexandra-ainsworth.html

http://municipaldreams.wordpress.com/2013/06/18/the-alexandra-road-estate-camden-a-magical-moment-for-english-housing/

http://friendsofalexandraroadpark.files.wordpress.com/2012/10/arp_cmp_final_for_printing_july2012-smallest.pdf

Why would this be good in the game:

The entire community as a whole would make a nice mega lot with unlimited possibilities from commuter rail access to mass housing and civic needs. As a set of straight single buildings in the W2W format would give the ability to create long blocks of housing and with some creativity like used in some of the JENX airport terminal layouts at SC4 will give the option of using underground roads. These buildings seem to fit in any theme from Rehabbed WWII bunkers to Post Apocalyptic worlds.

Not request, just an idea. How about bringing some of the Cities of Tomorrow buildings in Simcity 4?

I wanted to do that too. Maybe I will make some of those buildings.

I am pretty much sure someone has worked on this building before but I can't seem to find it now. Would it be interesting to see it in game? Lloyd's Building in London.

Moving away from building requests, I was wondering if someone is willing enough to make soccer fields complexes, such as these below:

I've been using the practice field from the Feyenoord stadium but I'll like some variety in the practice fields. Thanks.

SimCity 4, it's not a game; it's a work of art.

Explosia in the czech republic

01.jpg

During the cold war, semtex (a plastic explosive made of a mix of PETN and RDX) was produced at this factory by the soviet union and exported globally.  They still produce today at this location just outside of Pardubice, Czech Republic, however now that the icy grip of communism has loosened, the Czech Republic has embraced freedom and instead of posters of dictators hanging on the walls, a single "no handguns" sign hangs on the front door.

Request:  a garbage barge.  Or rather, a small port (preferably with some seedy-looking barge attached) that handles garbage.

For island cities with limited space for local garbage-handling, this would be a huge help.

Pegasus already created which might be what you're looking for. It's intended to complement the other CDK3 uploads.
