Siege, Part 16

While defending the corner tower, Schulminion forces faced another major task: defending the east gate from a concerted enemy attack. Masses of enemy solders pressed forward in an attempt to push through the stout walls. And enemy artillery fired right over them to pulverize the walls as they advanced. Often, they fired into their own ranks. No matter, they just kept marching. Tanks and rocket launches crept ever closer…

After a heavy exchange of fire between the forces, the situation remained unchanged. The enemy had not proceeded into town and our forces have been unable to dislodge them from our doorstep. The Schulmania National Army and BFA Military have fought hard to keep the enemy out, but at a high price. Additionally, neighborhoods close to the eastern walls have been the recipient of relentless attacks. Luckily, the civilians are long gone. But, the damages are extensive…

We have some good news though… a report from our military intelligence indicates that the enemy commander is camped nearby. He wants to personally oversee the fall of Schulmericho. Tactical Response Team members have triangulated his approximate position. And, they have an idea: a pinpoint strike to attack and capture or kill him. If successful, this could hasten the favorable end of the siege. But, it is a very, very risky assignment. For such a strike force, facing very high chances of being killed in combat, only volunteers will be selected. For such a significant and daring raid, Prince Excalibur, King of Tenne is leading the group. And he is accepting volunteers to rally around his flag:
