First it was the fish, and now you're bringing wings out. I'm still hungry. Hopefully there's better preparation for the next Super Bowl so there won't be another power outage. That was just a little creepy.

As far as the destroyed area goes, I'm leaning towards Option 5. A memorial of some type would be nice, but there should be some rebuilding too. I have seen battlefield towns prosper because tourists flock to the towns to see the memorial sites, so this could help Schulmericho come back better than ever and it would spite you-know-who a little.

    East Tenne: Nyan Cat Vision

The second arrondissement of the national capital, adjacent to the Royal Quarter, is the Feline Quarter. The Feline Quarter is the home of the magnificent Bureau of Feline Affairs palace, which serves as the administrative headquarters for BFA activities in Schulmania and its colonies. The district centers around this landmark and its extensive gardens, but contains far more than just a palace. The bustling and densely developed district will be explored in multiple updates, as we stroll the palace grounds, amble along the Riverwalk, marvel at the plethora of cultural and economic amenities, and enjoy the ambience that only a feline capital can provide.

A young feline visionary, Rainbow Poptart Nyan (known to his friends as “R. P.” or just “Nyan Cat” for short), has recently arrived in the Feline Quarter. He wanted to speak to the BFA High Council about his grand scheme. What could possibly motivate this gray kitty to travel hundreds of meows across a war zone just to share his vision? Let’s find out what he has planned. And, if he has his way, it will forever transform Schulmania.

    gray-cat.png
Let’s follow along on Nyan Cat’s plan to transform the feline world…

    riverwalk16_zps5aefffad.jpg
He arrived at the waterfront on a small passenger boat. He missed the ferry because he was too busy looking up in the sky and daydreaming, so he missed the ship. He paid a fisherman 20 purrs to bring him here.

    riverwalk15_zps7191f8df.jpg
He spent quite a while flying paper airplanes off of the edge of the Riverwalk, carefully noting the trajectory of each. He was very methodical in his observations and note taking.

    riverwalk17_zps2669a187.jpg
His best planes which went the farthest went in a long arc pattern, reminiscent of a rainbow’s shape. The best couple got stuck in the ivy and he had to carefully climb down to retrieve them.

    riverwalk29_zps89487d29.jpg
He went up and down the Riverwalk, tossing planes and taking notes. Kinda unusual for a park-goer on a nice sunny day…

    riverwalk46_zpsf1434515.jpg
Eventually he got thirsty and stopped by a refreshment stand to get some assorted beverages. Since he was daydreaming and looking skyward as he walked across the plaza, he dropped several of his small bottles and they fell, spilling on his notebook. The paper was now stained with a rainbow pattern of fruit colors. Not really an auspicious start, eh?

    wide005_zps03ba5d30.jpg
He was going to leave the waterfront to look for a shop selling notebooks. But he instead turned around and decided to use the rainbow stained pages to make new paper airplanes. He was delighted with the rainbow going across the sky as he threw each plane. His vision started to coalesce.

    2-11_zps080b0909.jpg
He was hungry and decided to get a bit to eat. But the local restaurants were a little out of his price range.

    2-12_zps3336535a.jpg
And the local mouseteria was fresh out of mice…

    2-10_zpsf49bce5d.jpg
He ended up at the local grocery store, where he had just enough money to buy a pop tart…

    Nyanberry-Poptarts-Anyone-nyan-cat-23183
    …and a legend was born

    2-09_zps748e3fb9.jpg
Nyan Cat headed out to meet the BFA officials, more confident than ever about his plan

    2-42_zpsbceae49f.jpg
He went to the Jardin des Felines on his approach to the BFA palace

    jardin07_zps06acd989.jpg
He got lost in the gardens; he should have been paying better attention

    jardin09_zps5f8aface.jpg
He was too excited and not looking where he was going

    jardin08_zps3c69b5ee.jpg
Eventually he found his way back to the main path

    bfa06_zpsa4fe223b.jpg
His goal: the Bureau of Feline Affairs Palace

    bfa05_zpsabdf284f.jpg
The clerk on duty told Nyan Cat that the High Council was across the street at the Feline Heritage Center, attending the grand opening of a new exhibit of exotic fabric scratchware. (For those uninitiated in the world of feline arts and crafts, fabric scratchware is the decoration, by claw, of various fabrics, such as rugs and couches and chairs. Perhaps you have seen it exhibited somewhere before?)

    Cat-Clawing-Furniture.jpg
Here, we see famed artiste Jean-Clawed van Pounce engaging in one of the feline world’s oldest and most popular forms of artistic expression

    wide023_zpsa2c0ed7f.jpg
The Feline Heritage Center (at left) is the world’s largest feline museum

    heritage1_zps7c003569.jpg
At the Feline Heritage Center, Nyan Cat ran across Fleet Captain von Bremerhaven, Governor of The Wirdleplex. He shared his vision with the governor, who was impressed and asked for a demonstration.

    wide032_zps005c1863.jpg
Together they headed off to the dome of St. Sylvester’s. Here, Nyan Cat intended to fly his super plane and convince the felines they need to fly!

    Sylvester3_zpsb78c36d3.jpg
From the gilded dome, Nyan Cat launched his best rainbow plane as far as he could. He noted too late one of his poptarts was stuck on the plane. But, the plane flew on,… and on,… and on…

    wide007_zpsf9dd8661.jpg
Over the Feline Heritage Center and almost to the river flew the rainbow poptart plane. Imagine the astonished looks on the feline faces below when they looked up and saw it:

    poptart1red1.gif
    And a legend was born…

After such an impressive demonstration, the BFA High Council quickly approved a huge grant for Nyan Cat to design the ultimate feline flying machine.

    BEHOLD!!!

The kitties of Schul shall take the skies in colorful flying machines of poptart-y goodness. Pray tell, would these aircraft have on-board entertainment in the form of fast paced melodic music where the only lyric is 'Meow'?

Hester    It’s full of furry goodness!

    Cefien    It’s a purr-fect place for a sunny afternoon!

InvaderNat    That’s why we don’t want to be taken over by evil Queensferry.

City_Master    We have quite a variety of places in Schulmania. The capital is the only large city we have. The others are medium and small (and tiny).

Gn_leugim    Many are inspired by our furry cuteness. Including this fictional place of which you speak… Hehehehe!

    Hester    Mille grazie!

    Cefien    Terima kasih!

    usfighter15    Thanks!

metarvo    Schulmania does like its food!

    Benedict    Awesome! Thanks!

    vivapanda    Dank U!

thunderman    Thanks! And welcome to Schulmania. The seawalls are Xannepan’s quay and are found on the LEX on SC4Devotion.

usfighter15    Sure! Better that than go to the Megalo-mart!

Lyhoko Leaci    You are correct in that we adhere to feline planning principles, not fiendish buggulan overlord ones!

Saint Andrew    Thanks! And welcome to Schulmania!

Hester    Come and spend. We want your money!

There’s so much to see and do. It’s a good thing that the roads are well organized, even if many are diagonal.

    2-15_zpsb5b4646b.jpg
Three point intersections such as this are common in the Feline Quarter

    2-16_zps951fcdf7.jpg
Of course there’s plenty of squared off intersections as well

    riverwalk18_zps0cc7ddeb.jpg
And of course a meandering track along the Riverwalk

    riverwalk19_zps28a8fef2.jpg
And any stroll along the Riverwalk is not complete without stopping by a local eatery or perhaps some quick fishing. The national fish, the catfish, is always biting.

    riverwalk20_zps9f579d12.jpg
You can stroll all day along the length waterfront park. It stretches the entire length of the district. And you can’t get lost, since all you need to do is walk in the opposite direction to get back to where you were. You could walk backwards instead, but that might prove awkward…

    riverwalk30_zps14d23d47.jpg
The Riverwalk has many amenities. Birds like perching on the column, providing for easy pickings for feline eager for a fresh snack.

    riverwalk47_zps2e315d78.jpg
And of course plenty of cafes provide alternatives to catching your own snack…

    wide006_zpsf557ff96.jpg
But instead of meandering along the sidestreets of the Feline Quarter, let’s head over to the Jardin des Felines for a picnic and a rousing game of hackey sack

    jardin10_zps60ce554d.jpg
There are many access points along the gardens. The center of the gardens is of course the national BFA headquarters. Did anyone remember their hackey sack?

    jardin11_zps35b697c0.jpg
There’s a massive formal garden behind the BFA palace. Looks like a great place for our game.

    bfapic9_zps627969cb.jpg

    jardin12_zps77cb1d04.jpg
And then we can play hide and seek along the meandering paths through the gardens

    wide024_zpsdc768664.jpg
The gardens are quite extensive. They range from the riverfront all the way to St. Sylvester’s.

    gloriette2_zps551a0215.jpg

    gloriette1_zps63334d30.jpg
Beautiful St. Sylvester’s Square featured The Gloriette, a fabulous addition to the park like setting

    Sylvester4_zps86176d20.jpg
The golden dome of St. Sylvester’s is a landmark in the Feline Quarter

    2-19_zpsb88641b3.jpg
Let’s make our way back across to the BFA Palace. There’s a poetry reading by e. e. clawing today and it’s free!

    bfa08_zpsaf2e4efe.jpg
So through the gardens we go…

    bfa07_zpse660ab1a.jpg
Oops! We were wrong. The guard says the poetry reading is across the street at the Feline Heritage Center. Let’s head over there now.

    bfapic12_zpsc817504e.jpg

    heritage02_zps0dd8290c.jpg
Just in time! To the courtyard! Let’s get our culture on!

    wide033_zpsa1883b6b.jpg
Afterwards, we can head out to look for mischief to get in… that shouldn’t be hard to do!

    2-43_zps4edaf4fd.jpg
    Mischief? Us?! Never!
