usfighter15    Nice! I am stealing that one.

Cefien    The bowl of bleu cheese…. My precioussssssss!

Gn_leugim    Obrigado! And that seems to be the unanimous opinion.

metarvo    We do like our food! And we have already started the rebuilding.

heat33330    Thanks! And welcome to Schulmania! Please do come again.

SimCoug    A Lions-Panthers super bowl would be very pro-feline and also very unlikely!

Lyhoko Leaci    We have already started the rebuilding. (I did save all of the damage so I would have an impetus to rebuild… I didn’t just burn and quit without save.)

    City_Master    And indeed we shall!

Cefien    Your wish is our command!

    Cefien    LOL. You bet!

Hester    We may have to build an airport…

nathanthemayor    Someone should really do one of these up! It’d be great to see at the local airport.

Lyhoko Leaci    I like both styles but I think I am partial a little more to the first too.

Follarch    And it shall come to pass!

City_Master    On behalf of USF15 I thank you!

    Gn_leugim    Poor Donald!

    usfighter15    Nyanberry ones!

Follarch    This is a judgment free zone. So feel free to research anything in Schulmania. There is, after all, a test over this one day. Study is the path to success! :D

    Gn_leugim    Its unforgettable! :D

    Benedict    Woo hoo! A pent-peat!

Gn_leugim    That’s Xannepan’s Jardin for the Palais du Luxembourg on the LEX. It is beautiful.

    Hester     Today’s special is chipmunks.

    Cefien    Thanks!

    jason leo    Thanks! :D

SimCoug    It’s great for attracting pigeons, who then get pounced upon.

InvaderNat    LOL. Our new capital is too far from the enemy bases for them to reach us. As you-know-who would say: ‘hee hee hee!’

City_Master    Thanks! Glad you liked it.

usfighter15    Surprisingly, not that much. I have everything on my end optimized so I run like clockwork. The Supreme Wirdle runs a cyber sweatshop here for producing content! :P

Lyhoko Leaci    I’d be happy to see…

    East Tenne: Island Sanctuary

The Royal Quarter, home of the magnificent Wirtyplace, also contains many government buildings, prominent businesses and some special places. The district comprises of the south bank of the mouth of the Wirdle River as well as two islands within the very narrow delta. The smaller, easternmost island is Robin Island, a private sanctuary for the Supreme Wirdle. It is connected to the palace complex by a bridge to the south and to the north bank by another bridge. The island is given over mainly to an elm grove and walking trails. There is also a small chapel on the site to allow for reflection and mediation. The island is one of her favorite spots and it reminds her of her birthplace across the sea in Wirt. Not only are there some nice climbing trees but there are also plenty of pounceables waiting to be caught.

    elm1_zpsa5350ae5.jpg
The chapel sits in the center of the island. The only other built items on the island would be a pair of Babalonia style obelisks flanking the bridge to the palatial Wirtyplace complex.

    elm2_zps8ed1b2ca.jpg
The Supreme Wirdle can go to the rocky shore to look for fish. But she does not like getting her paws wet, so she more often just sits on the rock to enjoy the sun.

    elm3_zps3fab6d3a.jpg
Climbing the big rocks can give some fabulous vistas of her capital

    elm4_zps6304c403.jpg
The southern bridge is flanked by these obelisks

    elm5_zps6b1fa03e.jpg
It is a very natural place, just the way she likes it

Not quite the precision gardens one would expect at a palace. But then again, the Supreme Wirdle is an outdoorsy kinda gal…

    elm10_zps2d487927.jpg
The ceiling in the chapel was expertly frescoed by the renowned painter Meowcelangelo. Perhaps you have heard of him?

Significant boat traffic passes by the island daily, as ferries, ships and fishing vessels ply the Wirdle River and the Tenne Sea coast

    East Tenne: The Woodlands

The 12th District of the capital is a largely residential area. Located in the northwestern corner of the National Capital Area, The Woodlands is a low density development, essentially a suburb. It is best known for the distinctive tree-filled park which inspired the district’s name. The circular park’s boundary road connects the five main roads of the neighborhood. One, West End Boulevard, serves as the connector between the capital and the regional capital of Roane-Anderson, not too far to the west. One of the more upscale roads in town, Queens Road, runs northwest from the park and is lined with many nice homes. Let’s take a trip down Queens Road and see what they have to offer.

    aneth1_zpscdc85f05.jpg
Herrenhaus von Katzen is a neighborhood favorite for its amply stocked koi pond.

    anis2_zps13295d5f.jpg
At the Maison des Ronrons, the gated entrance is framed by a small pedestrian bridge, so that felines walking on the sidewalk are not inconvenienced by carriages going in and out

    anna2_zpsa2691f6b.jpg
Whisker Woods is a mansion known for its party balcony. Guests are able to dine alfresco on all sorts of gourmet treats, often featuring live string quartet music from the symphony. Not a bad place for a gathering, if I do say so myself.

    big5_zpsc0b7bddb.jpg
Palazzo Schulmanini is the largest home on the street. As you can tell from the photo above, it is easy for someone on the balcony to drop a water balloon on the head of an approaching visitor. So, be sure to wear your hat,… just in case!

    brick1_zps75c382a0.jpg
Here at stately Wayne Manor, nothing out of the ordinary ever goes on. That’s our story and we’re sticking to it. Of course, we will admit that Catwoman has come by a few times, but that little secret stays between us and Alfred.

    broadlands2_zps2bf71f07.jpg
Wirtington Mews also has a koi pond in the front yard and is surrounded by woods full of lots of juicy pounceables…

    chateau1_zps02c23e51.jpg
Château des Chats Noirs is one of the best places for a garden party. Also, not a bad place for a hunt. The prey is both wily and succulent here.

    glen1_zps9f827546.jpg

    glen2_zpsa2f449d8.jpg
Glenwood School is the neighborhood school. Its simple wood construction stands in sharp contracts to the fancier abodes on the street. But, it is a highly regarded school and beloved by its students and the community.

    harar1_zps9fa35aea.jpg
Harar House is designed to resemble the national palace in Lake Felis. They did a great job matching the features up, don’t you think?

Almost hidden by the tall tress is Purrington Place, a lovely home near the school

    osso2_zps5c0bfe01.jpg
Koci Dom is an estate near the end of the street. It has a lovely courtyard the residents enjoy in good weather.

    qr06_zps7ad9bba7.jpg
Anyone noticed the median in this road yet? Rather opulent, don’t you think?

    qr07_zpsdc78d5be.jpg
Not many roads have as much lavishness on them as Queens Road does

    qr08_zps1da37039.jpg
Plenty of places for the kids to play…

    qr09_zps5bdacc0e.jpg
Special care was taken to make the infrastructure special, including the lush median and paved brick sidewalks

    qr10_zps56abd8ef.jpg
Small pedestrian bridges allow joggers and walker to proceed unimpeded by carriage traffic

    qr19_zps88f247e0.jpg
Plenty of trees allow The Woodlands to retain its character even though it has been built out substantially

    qr24_zpsd10e9ba5.jpg
The only down side is you have a ways to walk should you need to go next door to borrow a cup of sugar…

Château Griffe (at right) has some prime hunting grounds

Looks good, nice and green, with plenty of trees.

How come it seems that the bridges over the road with the median only cross over one side without a matching bridge on the other side?

Hester    Freshly caught and they come with a side and a beverage.

usfighter15    They are just like me: their function is to stand around and look cool!

Cefien    Indeed! It is a masterpiece!

Gn_leugim    Nope. Just being cool. :D

City_Master    Thanks. I liked it. And it is an original – not one of the fake expansion areas in other districts.

Benedict    Woo hoo! As the Pillsbury Dough Boy said: “I’m on a roll!”

    Cefien    Thanks!

    jason leo    Thanks! :D

    Gn_leugim    Hope you like it.

jason leo    Thanks. Definitely an upscale neighborhood.

    Cefien    Me too!

    City_Master    Thanks! :D

Lyhoko Leaci    That’s just so you can go down the sidewalk without dealing with carriage traffic out of busy driveways.

    Hester    That’s furr-iffic!

sim_link    Now that would be a top celebrity!

Lyhoko Leaci    An interesting twist caused by a Queensferry incursion…

    Gn_leugim    I do like me some money…

    Schulmanicus: The Twelve Tribes

    smightower2012_zps15f1815e.jpg
The Smightower, an ancient Feline Heritage Site on the home island of Schulmanicus, received a very unexpected guest: a wooden ship from The Northlands.

The Northlands is the area north of the Schulmania border, occupied by tribes of loosely organized non-domiciled felines. The twelve known tribes/clans of the area have thus far expressed no interest in joining the international feline civilization inhabiting the continent to their south. Occasionally, they will trade with Schulminion peers in Devonshire or fish in the Tenne Sea. But, overall, they tend to keep to themselves and lead a traditional feline lifestyle, much as the inhabitants of Harar.

What drove them south to Schulmanicus? A group of tribal elders disembarked and approached the startled Schulminions, indicating that they have come to seek Schulmania’s protection against Queensferry, It turns out that Queensferry has been making multiple incursions into the unorganized territory in an attempt to outflank Schulminion defenses and punch through to the Tenne Sea.

    tribe02_zps4ecf6492.jpg
Chief Theoden of the Tribe Rohan led the delegation

    Smightower2013_zpse5c55d33.jpg
Walking toward the Smightower Naval Base and the Royal Navy Headquarters, Theoden related that frequent attacks have taken place in the wilds of The Northlands,  as Queensferry’s troops fan out to establish outposts and attempt to circumvent Schulmania’s fortified trenches in the combat zone.

    tribe01_zpse9b5003c.jpg
The tribes’ defenses are no match for Queensferry’s heavy artillery and air power. They need help.

    FtWirt02_zps4bd843c8.jpg
The delegation was escorted to Fort Wirt, Schulmanicus’ largest military installation, where Chancellor Mooky has been working on development of new weapons systems.

    ftwirt_zps47681c29.jpg
    Pretty nifty, eh?

Bureau of Feline Affairs Ambassador Picklesimer met with Theoden and Midnight, Chief of the Leevious tribe to discuss arrangements. Unsure what to make of the situation and dazzled by the bright lights of the big city, the emissaries from the tribes were divided – wanting both to join Schulmania and to retain their identities as traditional feline tribes. After spirited negotiations, the twelve chiefs agreed to acknowledge the Supreme Wirdle as their leader and become part of Schulmania. The terms of the Treaty of Fort Wirt call for the islands in the Tenne Sea to be administered by the Kingdom of Schulmanicus, ruled by Admiral Hestorb.  Lands north of the current border would be divided into two regions: one ruled and developed by Chancellor Mooky and one reserved as a traditional feline area with minimal development. All twelve chiefs would receive district governorships of their respective areas. The twelve large city tiles (4 wide and three high) being added to the Schulmania map complete the single largest expansion of the country since its inception (since Harar is not part of Schulmania). The new line of demarcation for Schulmania’s northern border moves to a line running east and west from Clawhenge, which marks the point where felines will not cross due to arctic cold.

In the new governmental configuration, all new lands will be administered by the Colonial Government & Exploration Commission from Smightower until new governments and infrastructures can be put into place. The Bureau of Feline Affairs will set up services for the citizens and the Schulmania National Military will establish outposts along the border with Devonshire to disrupt enemy infiltrations. Here’s a chart of how the new lands will be organized, subject to changes by Schulmania, the BFA or the tribes/clans.

    REGIONAL GOVERNMENT: MOOKIMIA
    Districts & Rulers
New Arlenes – Midnight, Leevious Chief
    Franzikoi – Theoden, Rohan Chief
