Seeing as I just made a post to my BAT thread and I'm sitting at 999 rep currently, I'm pretty excited to have 1,000 rep points (soon). I was kind of surprised when I looked at it and saw that I'm somewhere around the 62nd (more or less) person to attain that.

After close to four years on this site I can say that I'm still enjoying it whenever I log in - there's always something new to see or read.

May I ask where you guys are seeing the rankings? I'm curious to see whose on the list

To see the "rankings" you scroll down to the very bottom of the Forums page. There you'll see color-coded buttons for each member class. You can click on each group individually and on the member list for each category you can sort by Reputation Points. Unfortunately you have to go into each category separately (and add up the number of users from each section on paper or something) to get the full total for whatever you're looking for.

In the early morning of October 9th 1998, a child was born at the academic hospital of Uppsala, Sweden. His name was, contrary to popular belief not __B, but something else. The child grew up smart and happy, and excelled in school. But at the age of seven, he encountered a troll. The troll was awfully big, clumsy and dumb, and it bullied the child not named __B. It went on and on and on for five years, until eventually, not __B had no other option than to move to a different school.

It was a nice school he moved to. It was a little bit bigger than the previous school, but still fairly small. And unlike the previous school, were bullies reigned supreme and staff turned blind eyes at all the crap going on around them, there was a strong sense of fellowship which suited our friend not __B very well. It felt nice to be able to assume the people not __B met were friends rather than foes.

He remained socially awkward none the less, and struggled to make close friends during the first few years at his new school. After some time of not making close friends, not __B found something in an electronics store that looked intriguing. It was a game cartridge labeled SimCity 4 Deluxe Edition.

At first, not __B struggled to enjoy the game. He found it difficult to keep his small communities running. Always starting out with all kinds of schools, fire brigades, police departments and medical facilities you could think of; you know, the stuff all cities need, he's constantly find his cash flow in the reds rather than the greens, and repeatedly typing "weaknesspays" in the cheat box didn't quite do the trick for him. Frustrated, he laid off the game for months.

After these months had gone however, not __B went onto a little website called Youtube, where he stumbled upon something called NAM. It was the most incredible bit of video game enhancement he'd seen! He read in the video description that to get this remarkable feat of third party modding into his game, he had no other choice but to sign up at a strange website called Simtropolis. He didn't really mind. Anything for NAM! And surely, not __B did sign up to Simtropolis, under the awful, terrible, despicable guise of "AmericanSwede11". 

He spent his first year on Simtropolis lurking around, downloading plugin, upon plugin, upon plugin, until eventually, he dared himself upon entering the chat. It was late spring 2013. Not __B was fourteen years old. He was a socially awkward eighth grader, and he knew his life had led up to this. 

Spending several minutes staring at the little "chat" button at the toolbar, he made his move. He steadily grabbed his computer mouse. The sweat of his palm felt icky against the rubbery plastic. There was no turning back. Making steady eye contact, he slowly but surely moved the mouse toward the button. He knew he was on the verge of exploding due to his pure determination. This was it. He clicked the button.

He was kindly greeted by complete strangers. Samerton, Mandelsoft and meister1235 all said their light hearted helloes before continuing their cyberconversation about whatever. Not __B had no idea what they were talking about, but they were all being rather funny. Not __B stuck around. After spending a few months visiting the chat at every moment he could, not __B took the next step. He entered the forums. 

The forums were full of people not __B had never before encountered in the chat, but he was sure they were all as kind as those other guys, and he felt more comfortable entering the forums than he had felt entering the chat. Sure enough, everyone was lovely, and not __B started to question why he ever visited any other website at all. He changed his name to borgmästarjojje in an effort to feel more at home, but it was a mistake. SImtropolis didn't fully understand the letter "ä", and interpreted it as something along the lines of "#)%&€". For one year, he bore this awful, terrible nickname, until in november 2014, he finally became __B. 

__B had just turned sixteen years old and was studying at another school again, since he was too old and grey for the previous one. The kind people at Simtropolis had helped him get over his social awkwardness, and he was making plenty of close friends at his new school. __B was happy, all thanks to one video game, and the social website dedicated to it. He sticks around on Simtropolis to this date, and is not planning to leave any time soon.

This is all pretty much rubbish and you don't have to read it, but I wanted my 2000th post to be at least a little bit special.

I'm fairly certain Foot Soldier is next on my agenda. I'm actually not looking forward to that. Sounds like I'll go from a happy community member to being conscripted into an army. (I'd rather become Dog Catcher or some other lower elected position equivalent.)

@CorinaMarie Haha , Dog Catcher . Don't worry about being a Foot Soldier , it isn't that bad , at least you won't have to do anything you don't want to like in the army .

Yeah there's a few humorous names you get that are specific to a single post number. I've seen a few of them so far but I won't spoil them (though one of them is a pretty easy to guess beforehand).

I was Area for a very brief time. I'm not sure what that one even meant. I've kinda gotten out of the habit of looking all the time so if something is for a single post number I might miss it.
