About This File

Loosely based on the appearance of the Old Patent Office Building in Washington DC, the Museum is a brand-new building with (for the first time) some brand-new behaviors. Basically, it's a landmark-meets-library - apart from attracting tourists that shovel out cash in the gift shop, it also lures in your local populace who might learn something from the experience. Given enough tourists, your sims' education will literally pay for itself.

 

It can be found under the education menu.

@kanimar we are working on many tutorials, documentation and information on modding.  Oppie is spread thing as well as many others whom are involved.  The new modder teams are all community based who are getting information from Oppie and I to make possible new mods and also figure out better or at least pass this information on.

 

Get involved by asking questions directly to those whom mod.   Oppie can't always answer questions due to time some of us have more but we are working as a team to help more people get involved and have people whom are just doing documentation of the process as we create new content like Oppie has and all the changes his SCP brings as a result

 

All the information and accomplishments of making items like this or as simple as adding a rock to the game (yes its being added as a decoration soon which was made by Simtrop UGC Team members and many other items) are all part of the learning curve as well as passing of these skills from one side to the other to bring more people on board to create custom content.

 

It just takes time

Finally a new building that doesn't delete, replace or prevent the use of an existing building!

Please keep these great mods coming!

BTW, is there any way you could return the regular fright train to the game for your trains collection? Just thought I'd ask^^

but I know these game changing mods come first. Can't wait to see what you come up with next!

Great looking building! But it doesn't appear to be attracting anyone in my city. I have extended worker data installed, maybe that is conflicting with it?

Two things before I ask my question. 1) I have no programming or modding experience what-so-ever... and 2) I am not an idiot... but which file do we put this in? the SimcityData or SimcityUserDate folder? Its not specified in the description above... and no one else seemed to have asked. Thanks.

SimCityData  :)   From my understanding, unless specified otherwise, mods always go in SimCityData.

I'm pretty new too.  :)   I've got about 35 mods and only one went into the UserData folder, so I'm guessing it's only very special circumstances that need it.   Hope you're having fun!  :)   You might like this package.

can i make a personal request oppie? i was wondering if there was a way to have a custom emerency services (such as police, fire, hostpal) and/or a school pack thats for small towns?? please? and also put it as (online/offline)
