Note: that a set of Park Extenders was attached on SimPeg in Paeng's development thread. They'd since gone missing, but you can find those attached to this post.

About This File

This park system combines three updated versions of previous park sets - Monument Park, Urban Gardens and White Sands Park. Mainly I wanted to create the possibility to lay out a good variety of parks, paths and gardens for any type of city - particularly with options for different path textures to be used on the same city tile. You can now have three very distinct park-styles in your city, each with its own character (layout, props, textures) - and you can mix and mingle them any which way you please... and even exchange or unify textures as you desire.

This will enable you to use the paths, prefab parks, ends, transitions, addons and extensions of all three park sets in one glorious citywide park system.

OVERVIEW

* Three complete parksystems, each with a unique style, textures, props and individual pieces

* A host of possible configurations - Narrow, Wide, Diagonal, Sweeping Curves, Ends, prefab Parks and more

* New park 'Sidings' for realistic-looking transitions to your roads and avenues

* Transitions between textures and/or sidewalks that can adapt to your preferred sidewalk textures and mods

* The ability to exchange or unify the base textures on the fly to suit your taste

* The option to mix and mingle sections of all three sets any which way you want

* All items designed to create extended lawns to be enhanced with MMP flora of your choice

* All items with consistent properties, descriptions and plop helpers, tightly arranged in your menus

* A host of overlay textures and custom props to make your own matching lots

* Peace of mind that future sets and addons will be made to match all of the above

Please note that there is a more in-depth Online Documentation with lots of additional info and many images available as well.

DEPENDENCIES

* Paeng Texture Pack v103 (updated version Sep 2011!)

* Murimk Props 02, v201 (updated version Sep 2011!)

* BSC MEGA Props - SG Vol01

* BSCBATPropsMattb325 Vol02

* BSC MEGA Props - MJB Vol02

* BSC MEGA Props - swi21 Vol01

* BSC MEGA Props - D66 Vol02

* Porkie Props Vol 01 and Vol 02

* SPOT (Orientation Helpers)

DEVELOPER NOTES

The aim of this overhaul is to 'streamline' the park packs as far as dependencies, general layout and possible variations are concerned. The layout and appearance of the sets have been maintained as much as possible.

Most of the pieces - including the new 'Sidings' - are layed out to give you nice spaces of well-groomed lawn that you can plant with your own choice of flora - bushes, shrubs, flowers and trees from your personal MMP collections.

If you don't want to use any of the sidings, you can safely delete the respective subfile(s).

If you want to exchange or unify any of the base textures, make sure to carefully read the separate instructions included with the 'Texture Changer 205' module (included, but packed separately).
I'd rather not sign up to yet another site (simpeg) to get some stuff. Sorry.
There is great custom content to be found all over the world - North- and South America, Europe, Asia... Personally I'll sign up anywhere, if it means unlocking more treasures... Your choice of course :shrug:

To those who have difficulties with the set, kindly come over to the linked support thread - it's hard to solve any problems via this comment section.

As for the included second ZIP file - that only contains the TextureChanger (a mod) - no props or other additional items, so it's needed only if you want to take advantage of the interchangeable textures.
where can i download the BSCBATProps Mattb325 Vol02 dependencie?
Just follow the link in the description... you must be registered and logged in to dl at SC4D.

As for the "beach-with-bricks" issue - that penomenon has been discussed in the support thread. In short - avoid lots with the default Maxis "beach" texture... nowadays it's much nicer anyway to make beaches via available terrain mods and textures. Else (if you still want to use lots with Maxis "beach" texture), do not replace the 'white sands' texture of the parks205 series...

* There is more to this, as you can even turn this into another feature... but for all that you should visit the support thread.

this is a great park series, my only beef is that it replaces the default small park for SC4 ... what do i have to remove in order to get it back short of taking out the whole folder ?

Wow. Besides from the NAM this is probably the most usable and important thing i got in my plugin folder.
And the fact that i hate cluttering the folder with all the dependencies, and still did go ahead and registered to download them tells a lot about how great this pack is!

I thank you for all your gorgeous parks and large pictures. Too man people provide small, low-quality pictures and it is a gamble when I download. Well, there's no gamble here. 10/10

Well, there are two kinds - one will give effects like default parks... those are mostly the larger pieces, where you would expect an effect. All the others, e.g. all of the simple 1x1 segments, are kept completely neutral, so they don't blow caps sky-high.

I was forced to reinstall all my plugins (long, sad, and completely boring story). Now, the WSP base texture seems to be missing. I installed all the dependencies. I am not using the texture changer (though I have the same problem if I use the WSP2UG one). What am I missing? Is there a newer version somewhere?

BTW, great park system. Great job. Thanks.

For me this is simply the best park set out there, mainly due to it's flexibility, hence why I generally like anything modular. I'm currently re-lotting to make use of the parkways for other lots to give my cities a more consistent appearance.

I'll never ever get this about dependencies, the why do they do it? Why dont they just include all files needed to make a building work instead of go here go there for dependencies? Its what Id do out of courtesy.

And? Keep going. What difference does that make?

Also notice I can reply like an adult without trolling emoticons.

Your emotional need not mine. All I give a toss about is getting my downloads.

So the sidewalk to parks transitions (three of them Sidewalk to brick/WSP/MP) still there after I choose the MP and WSP to Brick converter mod... is that correct?
