About This File

Do you need a full copy of the notes from yesterday’s morning meeting? Or perhaps you want those numbers crunched to see if last quarter’s investments really paid off? Maybe your executive assistant is on maternity leave? If that’s the case, or if you want to expand your market presence, then these are for you. Presenting the first of several office packs, designed to add more commercial office variety and to compete with the standard Maxis fare. Included in this upload are the following establishments…

Craig Data Processing
Davis Transcription Services
Feldstein Market Research
Ingels Staffing, Inc.

These buildings in this set were specifically designed to appear at the same time as Simpson, Inc., an early stage Maxis building which can grow quite frequently if there is little in your Plugins folder to compete with it. As such, they all share the same statistics – all are medium wealth growables with 20 CO$$ jobs, and they grow mainly on 1x2, 2x1, and 2x2 lots. All have custom queries, nightlights, and stats that are similar to previous uploads, and the entire pack requires no dependencies.

So while you’re downloading these, set up that conference call to the main office in Portland, and send off an email to the regional director about next week’s business lunch. Oh, and have the new secretary brew up a fresh pot of coffee once she’s done with that filing. Enjoy!

I love them, I'm to lazy to lot bats and to me there good are there are, I think it would be different if it was a house with a yard. Great Job and I'm happy to see something from you. :thumb: 5/5

Always nice to see stuff coming from you, your creations truly feel designed for the game and therefor blend perfectly. These indeed are not your most exiting creations, but I guess that is part of your objective, making something generic that helps breaking the monotony of repetitive maxis buildings.

I don't understand how some people can complain about these LOTs when they are constantly praising mediocre creations.

Die, Maxis shoebox stores, DIE! Uhmm... :uhm: Did I just think that or say it aloud? Must have been some weird interference, hehe. 0:) *cough*

Anyway, it's about time the STEX gets another dose of your "targeted BATs" that will help us players soooo much to get rid of Maxis monotony. Another must-have download for me, and I can recommend these as a starter pack to everyone like me who appreciates some variation even in the most lackluster low-rise commercial zones. Thanks a bunch for sharing! :thumb:

Madhatter106 is without doubt one of the best BATter. His works are always very accurate and very useful for people who love the harmonious development of their city. I fully agree with the guidelines that Madhatter106 expressed in the previous post, unfortunately not followed by many authors. Thank you for sharing your work!

Zulu, I think the response was triggered by the post two below yours - and others that were made under previous uploads. ;)
In any case I understood it less as something directed at a particular person, but more as a general statement.

In fact, editing lot designs that do not match your personal preference is precisely what madhatter106 suggests - and since you are apparently not the only one who doesn't like those vanilla-style lots, I can imagine that an upload package of new lots might just find its takers... ;)

Good job, Madhatter. Personally, I don't have any problems with the LOT. I mean, if the LOT were overly customized, then there would be those who would say it looked out of place. So, it's a fine line to tread, but I think this approach is perfect for a building set that is primarily designed to complement a certain Maxis building.
