About This File

Merry Christmas Simtropolis! Here is my Christmas present to the community! In a new stage of the project, this pack contains 7 IM growable lots for your cities. This brings the project total to 29 lots! They are designed to be detailed, interesting and functional working buildings. In this pack, there are three manufacturing/processing plants and four types of warehouse units. They are all unique in their own way and all of them have been made without Maxis buildings! There are a variety of sizes and growth stages. Here are the contents, stats and information of the pack:

Full stats and pictures are in the readme.

Steel Works

The steel works is a large factory where molten metal is refined and made into steel. The molten metal is then cooled and casted to form various steel products (e.g. steel blocks). It is a stage 3 lot that provides 64 jobs.

Packaging Centre

The Packaging centre is a factory that deals with packaging various commercial products. The products can then be transported to local stores or overseas markets. It is a stage 3 lot that provides 48 jobs.

Food Processing Plant

This medium sized factory makes canned and ready to eat products. The process involves converting raw ingredients into finished products, which are sold to supermarkets and restaurants. It is a stage 2 lot that provides 39 jobs.

Warehouse Units (4 lots)

There are 4 warehouse units, each with the same stats (except lot size).

These buildings are family props which means the game will automatically choose a different building combination each time the lot grows. (Lot entitled FamilyBdg.)

I hope you enjoy IM Pack 1 as much as I enjoyed making it!

Dependencies:

There are 6 dependencies for all 7 lots in this pack. Without these wonderful models, this project would not have been possible.

For the files marked (LEX), you will need to register at the SC4 Devotion Lot Exchange. The dependencies for each individual lot can be found in each lot’s folder (Text document). All dependencies are to be placed in your My Documents, SimCity 4, Plugins folder.

BSC SG Industrial Models IM1 v2 - SimGoober (LEX)

BSC SG Industrial Models IM2 v2 - SimGoober (LEX)

BSC MEGA Props - Misc Vol01 (LEX)

BSC Mega Props JES Vol 01 - jestarr (LEX)

BSC Mega Props JES Vol 05 - jestarr (LEX)

BSC Mega Props JES Vol 08 - jestarr (LEX)

Installation:

To install, place all folders (containing Desc and Lot files) in your SimCity 4 Plugins folder.

Also, it is important to place the SC4 model “Blank_Model-0x5ad0e817_0x5940c265_0x80000” in your plugins folder. Rather than making a blank model for each lot (as in the previous packs), I have made this one blank model for the whole pack.

The text documents in each folder state the dependencies for each individual lot. You should delete these if not needed or store them outside of your plugins folder for future reference. The readme is not required but is also best kept for future reference.

Do these suffer from the same problems as the ID packs? I found the buildings became distorted sometimes if they were built on slopes. Still, I really liked your ID projects and I can't wait to see what you come up with for the HT lots. 5/5

@ Ion_Cannon: Thanks for asking. That issue was caused by the foundation threshold value being too high in the ID lots. I have since fixed the ID lots and made sure these lots are more compatible with slopes.

Amazing stuff, there is by far not enough industrial lots on here, and the maxis industrials just look so ugly,

I can dig it. We can never have enough variety for industry. Still waiting on those W2W lots though :P Thanks!

Nice stuff, again. I downloaded all your previous lots and they really look good in my towns. Too bad I'm not at home to download this newest addition, will do so though when I'm back home!

This is sterling lot work you're doing! Immensely useful. You are a prime example of what can be achieved by using the lot editor alone. Thanks for these. I look forward to more!

Greater variety in our industrial regions is always needed; the lotting looks great, and the dependencies are not extensive or excessive for the number of lots we get with this upload. Terrific work! Highly commendable...

Nice, but I think there is one issue: are these Anchor, Mech or Out type? Whatever they are, I think the fences should go, because these are growable, and will finally form a sort of "mega-lots", as all growable industrials (one anchor lot, together with some mech and out). Pls consider making these ploppable, and include a growable version (wth the fences removed).

Good evening.
I just downloaded this industrial pack. I placed it in my plugin folders. For my idea it has to work now. But i don't see anything happening in my sim city game. Does somebody know what i'm doing wrong, this is not the first time i got this problem. I don't know much of computerstuff.

By the way, i always use to download the dependansies first and then the official download. Can that cause the problem?
