About This File

Located in Boston's Copley Place, The Hancock Tower is the tallest building in New England (241 m). Anyone who has been to Boston and seen I.M. Pei's gleaming glass tower can't help but say "I.M. Impressed!"

Version 1.0 is a plopable Landmark building. The model, Landmark and Plop Desc files and the Lot file are included. No jobs yet.

Version 3.0 - Added 6400 jobs. Improved buildings main texture to blend in better. Added more realistic lighting. Added roof detail.

Version 4.1 - Reduced the size of the model slightly to appear more to true scale.

Where are the pictures? I know what this building is and I love it so I really want to see pics before I download. I'm excited.

Please add a picture of the night effects. You can add a link to the buildings official web site in the description.

Good job so far. I am holding off voting, because I think you should add some more details to the roof. In the RL photo you posted, there are lots of little antennas on the roof, and 3 big ones. I think they should be added.

The texture and night lighting are well done. The building seems to be "leaning" in that picture, but that is just the angle of the building. You should add the antennas to the roof, It would make the buildng seem more realistic. Exellant work. This is a very good lot.

looks pretty good but i think u could add abit of detail to the roof and the base...it kinda looks like it just comes out of the ground as windows.

It may seem like it's not 'sitting' right because the building isn't square in real life. It's actually a parallellagram. I would like to spend some more time on the roof. I haven't been able to find any overhead shots of the building though.

My band (music band, located in Jackson County, Tennessee) is going on a trip this year (2004) in the summer to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. We'll also go to Boston, Mass.; and Hershey, Penn. (Where they make Hershey bars and where a theme park is located). I can't wait!

I HATE THE TEXT LIMITS ON THIS EXCHANGE! I'll make sure I get a few pictures if we pass by it.

A very nice lot! That reflection in the in-game pic looks like they're mountains and stuff in. IDK, maybe it's just me, but I kinda like it.

exodus - Interestingly, the same criticisms I'm seeing here, people have made about the actual building. The real building does, in fact, come out of the ground as a sheet of windows.

I watched this building rise as a child. There were many problems with the windows "Blowing out" because of pressure differentials . These were subsequently fixed. Great job now could you do the Prudential Building !

I would love to say this building is awesome, but, you have it as a rectanglular building on a diagonal lot. The real John Hancock tower is shaped like an open book. It's actualy longer on one side than the other.
