After seeing a friend on Twitter talk about making a mistake with sewage and poisoning their city I decided to see how that'd look. In short, not good. The thing that made it funny? Next time the game loaded I got this.

For the moment I'm working to rebalance the traffic in my city. Started to put some commercial deep in my city and noticed the traffic backup stretched outside the map. -
Show Us Your Skylines Interchanges
clindhartsen replied to Vahr's topic in Cities: Skylines Showcase
I've been trying to up my game on intersections, smoother curves and compensate for lane merging. These are two that I made working against a really messed up map a person on Reddit was sharing.- 645 Replies

Continuing Developments........ *Britain police : One of two suspects arrested have died, died en route to hospital (CNN) *White House: TSA has raised alertness level at U.S. Airports (MSNBC)

Man, I'd have to agree with those here who are saying the coverage is kind of deceiving, I mean, they kept showing different angles and whatnot of the car on fire and loop it continuously. The main issue with our coverage in the US is I wonder if it would be better if FNC just simulcasted Sky News and CNN simulcasted CNNi? On the larger issue, there has to be a larger plan against this whole rise of radical Islam and assorted other assorted groups of Terrorists then just they bomb us, we bomb them! Where does that leave us? That leaves us with them being able to enable more people to be pushed towards attacking nations around the world and continues the current problem we're already in. If anything, I don't have an answer, but I don't think treating Arabs and alike people like they are all criminals helps. Returning to the main story, at least there hasn't been any real mention of injuries due to the event other than the people who did the attack themselves. Ending this, I think the Europeans know what they are doing and hopefully this will be the last of this current string, but one can only hope. **Breaking: Britain raises Security Alert Level to highest rating of "Critical" (MSNBC, Associated Press) ***Breaking: US Airports and other locations increasing security at current time (FOX News)

Desktop.. Everyone has one of these!
clindhartsen replied to The Milkman's topic in General Off-Topic
Humm, quite a few interesting ones around here. Anyway, here's my own basic desktop. (click the image for full-view) -
Honestly, most of my experiences with a PC have been perfect with the rare occasional lapse for whatever reason. I've plugged in a new audio card, threw in the CD, the drivers instantly installed and out came the sound, just one of my own experiences. Personally, I just don't see the point in a person spending twice the amount for a computer that runs an OS that now looks overdone (honestly, the blue gel stuff is kind of sickening) and can't run half the games or other software available to PCs without some works arounds implemented. Really, Vista is going to end up being an immitation of OS X no matter what, why? Because it's the defacto comparison many people automatically make and some ideas can only be improved, not come out of blank air. Also, many features in OS X now were already in earler beta and lab builds of Longhorn (codename for Vista from 01-06)

Keep one thing in mind people, most of us only need what's included in Home Premium and that only costs roughly 160 dollars for the upgrade version, assuming most of us here have legit versions of Windows XP at this time. Anyway, Vista is perfectly capable at this time to run on down to 512 and even better on 1GB, but in all resoects, most PCs are already coming with 512 and most are now selling with over 1 GB in their case. Also, for the comparison, does Apple include an instant backup option (Shawdow Copies exist in Ultimate), computability to any PCI, AGP, or PCI-E piece of hardware, an integrated media center with TV-tuner capabilities, IPv6 native support, working speech recognition, ability for external mini-displays on laptops, IE7, and not to mention a number of other features in the OS?

Honestly, the upgrade isn't bad and it honestly runs pretty smoothly, even on dated hardware (my computer is 3 years old-ish). Personally, I used the OS during the CPP (Customer Product Preview, something like that) and the OS was finally getting perfected around RC2, and honestly, the final release version (I have Home Premium) runs smoothly and ultimately very well. Also, one of the most unnoted but somewhat noticeable things about the OS is the new audio stack (the way audio is sent out and in), which makes your music sound better than it did on most cards in XP (or atleast on my PC it did ). Anyway, depending on your usage, some of the smaller changes (navigation inside your PC, search, SuperFetch, etc.) just make the experience better, and ultimately make the upgrade worth it in my mind.

8/10 - Love [adult-swim], though mainly for Eureka 7, FLCL, ..... most of the anime series I guess. Anyway, too much spacing, keep things small
