About This File

As mankind continues his quest for the ultimate Utopian society, one of the first steps will be to master the environment and to rebuild urban centers to include more efficient and environmentally friendly structures. SkyFarms are a step in the right direction. Being almost fully self-sufficient while producing the very sustenance that urban occupants require, they give far more back to the local community than they take.

SkyFarms require very little external power or water. As a result, as they replace other structures in your cities, the demand for power and water will be reduced significantly. This can reduce the number of power plants and water pumps a city requires... and their associated costs. SkyFarms also recycle and filter local sewage for irrigation, so their presence in industrial areas can reduce local water pollution and the need for dedicated & expensive water treatment facilities.

The Utopian SkyFarm series continues with the Type 4 SkyFarms.. which contains 6 growable RCI lots plus one ploppable landmark lot with IHT jobs. Of the seven growables, there are 3 IR lots including the MegaFarm... plus 1 IHT lot and 2 IM lots. The lots vary in size from 3x3 to 6x5.

  • All SkyFarm lots decrease local water pollution as part of their filtering process that treats local black water into gray water for irrigation. Accordingly, the SkyFarms use very little city water.
  • All SkyFarms are almost fully self-powered from use of solar collectors and/or wind turbines, and an internal fuel-pellet processor fueled by recycled plant & vegetable matter.

* All lots are included as separate files so you can easily remove any that you do not wish to use.

** This lot requires the PEG-SF Sky Farm Resource file
There are no other dependencies.

All Pegasus files are now legacy content and are no longer officially supported - however support from the wider community can be requested here.

Ok John, I just had to see one of them ingame right away and I must say that the details are astonishing. Actually no surprise to me, when I saw the Peg signature. Great stuff and I am glad to see you here also. Many uses and diversity, I am sure that many of us will enjoy them to the fullest. Thanks.

Btw, I only commented here (above) on this upload, but the same goes for all four uploads including the props.

Thanks, Mr. B. These are the first of a new Utopian Series of lots that will provide a futuristic look and feel that also blends well in exisitng cities. Collectively, they can alter a city's skyline and change the way we design and build our cities. I personally am not a tree-hugger, but I do believe that better management of our resources and environment is crucial.

Nice, maybe you can make some rewards relating to these... a special high-tech farmer's market, ethanol gas stations, etc.

Naturally, the brilliant Peg who has contributed some of the most creative lots to Sim City has taken a giant leap to create such an innovative new approach to the game. Futuristic, and yet so tied into the collective unconscious of those who wish to build a better world. The modeling is superb. The conception is original, and contributes much to new ways of playing the game.I applaud the concept, and the superior execution.Perfect in every way.
