About This File

Updated July 28, 2007! All my old files are being updated and re-released to fix a host of minor issues and mistakes I made when I was still learning. The lot and desc files are the same the original meaning that the new version will replace the old one in your cities without any brown boxes as long as you delete the previous version. A BSC Cleanitol file will be available on SC4Devotion's BSC exchange as soon as I have all the updated files released, which will make the job of deleting the old versions easy.

The Richland Building is an actual building in Calgary’s Kensington neighbourhood. It’s an interesting building in the way that the streetscape has effectively spread up to the second floor. The second floor store fronts face onto a deck that is accessible from stairways on either side and from the back of the building. The Richland Building is home to several business which are:

Cyber Park (internet and gaming café)
Blue Nile (Ethiopian restaurant and unofficial night club)
Box, Paper Scissors (Stationary Store)
Taste of Ginger (Chinese restaurant)
Rejuve (body consultants or plastic surgeons or something)
Richland Development (developer’s offices)
B & Donna Fashions (clothing store)
Kensington Dental Care

This is the 7th entry in my series of Kensington BATs and is part of my continuing effort to diversify our options for small commercial buildings. The Richland Building
grows on a 4x3 lot on the Houston and Euro tile sets. It provides Cs$$ jobs. There is one dependency BSC Spa Essentials See the readme for more detailed stats and instructions.

Check out my bat thread here or on SC4devotion for detailed information about the updates or my future projects.

Nice building, an Ethiopian restaurant, not heard of one of them but would look very nice in a downtown area amogst bars and clubs.

nice building to add variety to our streets. I like the storefronts a lot... reminds me of all the small coffee houses and restaurants I've stopped at throughout Canada and US

We've got a Blue Nile here in Seattle. I didn't know it existed elsewhere. Cool BAT, we need more variety in the low to mid-ride commercial building sphere.

I, too, live not far from a Blue Nile Ethiopian restaurant. I'll be happy to try this one out in my cities. These just keep getting better and better!

Thanks everyone. This is becoming funny. I feel like it's hi my name is Bob and I have an Ethiopian restaurant called the Blue Nile :) I have known 3 Ethiopian joints. The two in Calgary a block apart. The Blue Nile which is in this building and Marathon down the street. Halifax's Ethiopian Restaurant, on the other land, was actually simply called Ethiopian Restaurant. What can you say it's a small city :)
