I have seen muddles of buildings like this where new hospitals have been built. It is a commendable effort for your first. You need to download SC4Tool - there is a thread about it - and that will give you a list of dependencies.

aaronperry and pssteph: before making comments like these you should try making and uploading something yourself. This may not be brilliant but it is better than anything I have seen from you.

For a very first effort it's a good attempt to replicate the mess of commercial and public service buildings that you find in real life and a lot better than some postings here *cough* elstationwithpondandfireworks *cough*

Looks really good. Might not be BAT type stuff but it looks pretty good.

For a first go, very decent. I gave you a 6/10, but not because it's bad, just needs improvement. Why don't you open up a Workshop thread in the BAT - Open Discussion forum? Also, download the SC4Tool as Barbyw said...

Nice first attempt! Barbyw is right, check out the SC4 tool. It will also allow you to make those roads connect up by transit enabling.

Y'know, I think this lot would actually be better without the hospital. Nonetheless, a good first attempt.

@ ultra: Putting together some buildings that already existed is actually called lot-making. That's what it is. @pschraeer: You arrange props and textures pretty neatly, so I guess you could produce good lots. However, (A) you need to sort out the dependencies issue (use SC4Tool), (B) take it easy with dependencies, (C) make your lot look like it has a certain purpose and is not just a random arrangement of structures, and (D) some more experience, which will come as you proceed.

I think it's a very good start and with some practice...you could become a very good "lot maker". Take the "good" suggestions that have been posted and practice, practice, practice. Ignore all the other "rude" comments. Lot making has been lost to the BAT and it's good to see someone pick it up and at least try unlike a few of you commenters. To all Rude Commenters: Before being so rude and mean, open L.E and make some lots of your own and upload them.

I just d/l and don't u/l anything so I'm in no position to heavily criticize anyone who contributes something and at least puts forth an effort. So I say good effort and, although it's not the most polished work, it has merit -- looking forward to your future contributions!

There are in fact 6 dependencies in this lot. I think he has used available props very well and it does look a cohesive lot.

Many thanks to the members who have left constructive criticism instead of simple flaming.

Let me say this first ... look at who is making the positive comments ... mostly people that can be called heavyweights when it comes to SC4 Objects. I am glad to see someone actually has the guts to delve into the LE and create challenging lots. As for the dependencies, I am sure Barby will help you where she can until you can do it yourself. I will not rate your work but I am applauding your effort.

Your lot looks typical to many hospitals that grows as the communities grow and and it has nice natural look and feel to it. This is how me and MrBisonM started off way back when ST was young. Carry on and enjoy it and use whatever we have given you. Trying to build a lot without dependencies is like taking Tequila without salt and lemon ... it gets you drunk but without the FUN.

great first lot ignore the flamers, it has good composition and purpose, with a bit of work you can transit enable it and get a dependancies list, great effort 7/10

I thought we posted comments here as a review of people's work, and I thought this type of discussion was supposed to happen in the forums. I will work on some lots and post them and I hope all of you here repeat the praise for me no matter how it looks. Have a nice day people.

With time, patience and practice you can only get better, and this is a great base to start from. Heck, my first upload was simply a repackaging of the ingame Tower of London. I know how daunting the LE can be, but if you take it slowly, take the advice of those who offer it and don't simply criticise for the sake of it, I am sure you will a long and very successful career (if career be the right word) as a Lotter. Keep up with the good work.
