About This File

On a recent trip to Milwaukee, I saw many buildings that really caught my eye. This is the first one BATted, there will be a few more. This was for many years known as the Northwestern National Life Insurance Co. It was designed by Ferry & Clas as a French Renaissance styled office building. It is also referred to as Beaux Arts style architecture. The small size is an interesting contrast to the architectural detailing.

Very nice. Could almost do with stronger flood lighting as it highlighting the building like a statue.

Wow, I am so glad you did a trip to my hometown of Milwaukee. And yes of course you got the building down pat. And I am literally sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for which of the Milwaukee buildings you will bat next. Awsome awsome job!!!

Is there no end to the release of these great additions by Simgoober? I sinceraaly hope not as most of them are truly works of art. I like these "low rise" renaissance style buildings as the fit in within any old European city (which are my favorites).
