PEGCDKN Navy Pier 2  1.1

About This File

The Navy likes it so much here, that they have decided to expand their port to include a new AEGIS Command Center. This new pier will be home to the most awesome and sophisticated vessels ever to sail in Harm's Way.

Imagine a destroyer the size of a WWII cruiser... and packing more firepower than a battleship. Match that up with the AEGIS weapons and defense system that is so TOP SECRET, that if we said anything more, we'd have to kill you. And considering how many downloads this lot will get, that would get rather messy!

This is an all new Naval Base with features and properties similar to the Navy Pier One lot. Its designed to be compatible with the CDK but can be used separately.  As with the Navy Pier One lot, it is a conditional reward with slightly higher requirements. Its transit enabled, a moderate polluter... but provides jobs to civilian workers as well as income to the city each month.

Using the new CDKN building methodology that is utilized by all new naval facilities, this second Navy Pier brings the base to life with new buildings and dockside props and personnel that shuffle & change throughout the day. The ship also deploys throughout the year so don't be surprised when you notice its gone. Don't worry... its a stout ship. It will be back...

Each subsequent base will require a little more mayoral effort and city development before becoming available. This base requires a city population of over 20,000, a mayor rating of 45+, Seaport usage over 75, a city that is at least 15% water (still notably less than the requirement for the Marina)... or completion of the good Fishing Boat Mission. The lot's dynamic icon info lists these requirements as well as the current levels of each requirement so you can see how close you are getting..

All Pegasus files are now legacy content and are no longer officially supported - however support from the wider community can be requested here.

YES!!! I have been waiting. You are so the man! I am just waiting for the others in hopes that there is a destroyer or something. What do you call the vessel that lands planes? That too...

Wuhahaha, and Andreas is such a pacifist! You should have named a hospital ship after him! ^^ But seriously: This is just awesome. Once there were boring shorelines... and then came PEG... now everybody wants to have coastal cities so that he can use all those beautiful lots. :P

Oooh, this will be quite more modern than a clunky 100 year old battleship :P. And uh tillman627, it's called an aircraft carrier.

@T Wrecks: Well, at least this ship represents some the most advanced technology - a nice dedication for me being a hight-tech fan. ;-) But military stuff or not, this is another masterpiece by PEG, esp. the command center building is extremely well done!

T Wrecks: I think the best way to look at it is that a warship's primary mission is in the "Peace-Keeping" role... a strong deterant against aggressive, violent action. The very thing that preserves an individual's right to be a pacifist.

This is a superb BAT. If ratings were used properly (ie less than 10 acceptable for anything without lot makers felling bad) then this would be only one of a few dozen worthy of that high grade, because the level of detail is exceptional. 10/10

@T Wrecks- There are two kinds of pacificts: ones who throw away their arms and invite their enemies in, and those who keep their guns as a deterent. This ship would be rather effective as the second. When's the carrier coming, PEG? 10/10
