Yeah I'm doing the same thing right now. I haven't played in about 3 weeks and have no interest to either. When I did play 3 weeks ago even though some things were fixed many other things were still broken. I find it fun to play for the first few hours, then slowly but surely I start becoming extremely irritated at the the many bugs and flaws of the game. I still check the forums frequently however in hopes that Maxis/EA will do a complete overhaul of the game OR someone mentions a new city simulator being developed. I guarantee people will start complaining like crazy again on the forums once the expansion pack is released. Frankly I think the new expansion is a total waste of money and everyone should be collectively agreeing not to buy it until Maxis/EA overhaul this game.

I agree with you. I don't want a SimCity that plays like a fantasy of the future, I want to build a metropolis or even a smaller city surrounded by farms. Not some sci-fi junk that fixes the problems with imaginary flying cars and bots. I will not be buying this expansion and as far as I'm concerned, SimCity is totally dead now to me, I'll hold out for a future (not futuristic) city building game.

I think we'll have to wait a little longer than patch 8 to get a decent game yet.... I hate to say it but I think this game will only become fun/playable when a major expansion comes out. Patch 7 helped but there is still A LONG WAY to go.

At this stage I would NOT suggest buying SC. It just isn't fun in my opinion and definitely not worth $60. Perhaps after a series of major patches have been released and improve gameplay, I would say no, do not buy this.

My god, this is getting really bad for SimCity and EA/Maxis. Is it possible this game is beyond repairing at this point? I'm in utter disbelief at how bad this launch has been. I think this has officially been the worst launch I have ever seen.

Yeah me too... not just because it's unplayable at the moment but because it just doesn't feel like Sim City. It feels like Cities XL so much it's freaking me out!

Still out for me. Tried getting on the European servers, still nothing. If they had a single player option... I won't go there in this thread but you know what I mean. Hopefully it gets up soon. Please inform this thread when it does.
