About This File

BSC Irrigation Canal System

While playing some farming regions, I thought they would be more realistic with some tree lined canals going between them. So I decided to build some! With the help and input of several other BSC members, we came up with a series that should cover all the bases.

Custom Features : Query, Menu Icon

There are a total of 19 lots. These all work in conjunction with each other to give you a seemless water supply for your farms. There are numerous 1x1 lots, with the canals in various configurations. There are also some ponds, a reservoir and a few irrigation style dams. The dams are side areas where water can be stored for individual farm use, as described to me by a couple RW farmers. The dams and reservoir supply a small water source, as does a small wind driven pump on the canal system itself.

I've been using PEG's seasonal trees for borders of farm land but this is much, much better; I think I'm going to use both: the canal and the trees, to make things very realistic.

Of course, they need to be placed on 100% level land ... trust me ... if lots like this AREN'T placed on perfectly flat land, it looks really bad.

One of my most used STEX downloads.... These lots really form the hub of my farming communities... Though I do wish they could slope at least a LITTLE bit. :p

I never saw these until they were a dependency for the Farming EP, but they are wonderful. They add a touch of realism to farming communities.

These are lovely. The water textures could do with a bit of an upgrade but that's just being really picky. They really add interest to my rural farming areas.
