  1. Entry no.15 - A day in the life of a Train Conductor

Wow!! That was a very interesting, well-written read. Great work!
  2. Tribute to A Nonny Moose

Wow. I don't know what to say. I have always respected and admired Nonny for his dedication and knowledge; he was unmatched in my eyes. He was always so helpful when people had technical issues (he helped me several times), and it was wonderful to see him discuss and debate in the various threads of Simtropolis. I haven't been very active on here lately, and as such had no idea that he had gone in for a surgery, and was recovering. This made it particularly surprising and upsetting to hear of his passing when I logged in today. He was truly a great man, and a valuable member of this community. May you rest in peace, John.
  3. Modding Origin Digital Version of SimCity 4

Good news! I went the Origin route, and now my digital version on there is all loaded up (and tested) with all of my plugins! That Reddit post was great, too, and I managed to get the CD version to run (kind of), although it wanted me to insert the disc, even though it was already inserted. I haven't tried it again now that I have uninstalled that Windows update, but I'll test it out later. I'm just happy that Origin is running SC4 with all of my mods. Thanks a TON for the help Tarkus, I'm so happy to be able to play again!!
  4. I've been having some issues with SimCity 4 lately, notably being that one of my computers was upgraded to Windows 10 and will no longer run SimCity 4 from the CD, and my new laptop for college is 64-bit, not 32-bit (but Windows 7), and I have been unable to get SC4 to work there either. So, I've been forced to use the digital version of SC4 from Origin. That runs fine. My question is, how do I mod the digital version (if it is possible). I use the NAM plus a ton of custom content, and playing vanilla SimCity just doesn't do it for me. Alternatively, if anyone has any tips/ideas for running SC4 from the CD on a 64-bit Windows 7 laptop, I would love to hear them. Thanks in advance!
  5. First off, I apologize if this should have been in a thread and not its own topic, I haven't been here in a while. So, I've been trying to get a digital copy of Simcity 4 Deluxe Edition from Origin so that I can play SC4 on my Windows 10 computer. As far as I've heard, you can use the box code from a physical copy of SC4 to receive a digital copy from Origin's website. However, after typing in the code from my box, it denies the code. I'm using the code from my physical, boxed edition. In fact, I just reinstalled SC4 and used the code for that process, and it worked fine for that. Am I doing something wrong, or is what I am attempting to do not possible? Thank you in advance.
  6. Show us What you're Working On

I absolutely loved how you had the elevated (heavy) rail bridge directly cross roads the second it hit land. That really makes it look great! Keep up the amazing work!!
  7. Stone Creek

I love the office building in the last pic! Great work this update.
  8. Stone Creek

    Yay! Stone Creek is back!
  9. Can't find it?... Ask here!

is what you are looking for Thank you so much!!
  10. Can't find it?... Ask here!

I had to rebuild my entire plugins folder not too long ago, and I could've sworn that there is some kind of mod that changes the sidewalks of TULEP pieces in the NAM? Like, I use sandstone sidewalk textures that look weird when they meet the pure white of NAM TULEP pieces. Is there any kind of a mod anything that changes the sidewalks of the NAM TULEPS? Thanks in advance for any help!
  11. What comes to mind when you think about this country?

Pigs. As in the Bay of Pigs. Malta.

Here you go ~ ITS 2011 1000 Lakeside Thanks!
  13. Can't find it?... Ask here!

The building located directly below the embankment, the rather large one (width-wise), four-stories tall...does anyone know what it is? Thanks in advance!
  14. SC4 & Antivirus Issues

Alright, thank you very much. That definitely helps calm my nerves a bit. With all the feedback (not just yours) about the various SC4 sites being extremely safe, I can restore the quarantined files without too much worry (or really any) that my computer will get infected with some kind of virus. I guess you could say this case is pretty much "closed." Thanks for all the help everyone!
  15. SC4 & Antivirus Issues

Alright, so I haven't exactly figured out how to make the various SC4 sites (STEX, LEX, PLEX) automatically OK in the eyes of Norton, but I did redownload a file and restore it. I figure I'll do that until I can figure out how to go into the settings and solve the problem. I haven't found any guides online on how to do it and I haven't been able to manually figure it out. Does anyone here use Norton, and if you do, do you know how to "whitelist" a website? Also, it said the security risk from downloading SC4mapper was "High". I shouldn't be worried about that, right?
