  1. Sometimes the game and desktop freeze up just after the game is saved. This necessitates in having to log out then back in or rebooting. Does anyone have a good idea of why this happens?

  3. Hi, I am sure this must have been asked thousands of times, except I cant find a quick answer. There are tantalising mentions of using 'the cim model' which I guess is this one? https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/index.php?threads/resource-max-obj-file-of-male-cim-to-get-better-sense-of-scale-when-modeling.874872/ however this is for 3Dmax and I'm using Blender (and having never used Max don't know if the units match). My problem is that the replacement monorail station building I am working on is 1.37metres high in blender, and gets imported into city skylines at 12* scale sometimes, but sometimes this causes an array out of range (or something similar) error and I have to go up to 14 times. I have no idea why I get this error, nor why changing the scale fixes it, but its driving me nuts. My .fbx export scale is 1. If it imports ok at 12 times then the pedestrian routes all line up as do the platforms (which is nice) but they don't at 14 times, and the monorail platforms are the wrong height. I'm wondering if this array error is due to me getting the scale just wrong so city skylines cannot do 'something' and maybe if I knew the actual height of a cim I could work backwards and fix this issue. Then again I could just be wrong. In addition the station has stairs and I want to add a handrail onto these, but I'm stumped as to how high to make it as I cannot figure out how tall a cim is. If I do some simple maths my building is 16.44m (at 12*) or 19.18m tall (and wrong at 14 times). Can someone point me at a simple solution? Massive thanks in advance. (Oh if anyone's interested the Metro I have been working on is now testing in some saves of mine, so far it looks good).
  4. Hi, I've decided to post this because I am having some difficulty understanding a few things on cities skylines, mainly to do with mods and source files. I never had such difficulties in the past, but whenever I try to install mods manually into my cities skylines and then run the game, I get error messages stating that there are source files missing. I'm currently experiencing this for the following mods: 445589127 - Precision Engineering 465127441 - Airport Roads 466158459 - Building Themes 478820060 - Network Extensions 497033453 - Unlimited Outside Connections 530871278 - Daylight Classic 586012417 - PloppableRICO 689937287 - Surface Painter I'm also getting error messages for 553184329 Sharp Junction Angles stating that there is an Errors Building Assembly, I also get errors Detours.cs (70,13) CS0227 and Detours.cs (93,13) CS0227. Now, I have both the steam version of the game and a CD version. What I've done is download workshop items from steam, which I then move into my CD version. Funny enough, I don't have any problems or error messages if I only have Network Extensions or Precision Engineering installed. It's when I start adding everything else that I start to also get error messages regarding the source files for all my mods. This is why I'm trying to figure out if these are genuine error messages or not? I would appreciate it very much if someone can spare me the time to help me out. I've been in the chat rooms, but I get no response to my queries.

When I was creating a Region in the SC4 Landscape Designer, I let it generate a region I liked and changed the water level a bit, and then I gave it a Region Name, then saved it and moved onto the config.bmp editor. I placed all the small and medium and big cities, but when I loaded the region in the game... it was just a piece of flat land. I tried loading the Grayscale .BMP file using the CTRL+SHIFT+ALT+R key combo, but loading the Grayscale Bitmap File of the Region just made the game crash. Can someone help me? This is what the Region's Folder looks like:
  6. SC4 B.A.T Errors

    For some reason, after I uploaded my "Crane Hotel" to the ST Exchange (https://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/31128-the-crane-hotel/) weird stuff has been happening in the BAT. For some reason, every time I import a .3ds file, it says "Error while importing file, the program will now close.", and i've tried running in as an Admin, and it didn't do anything. I've tried it with about 3 or 4 different buildings, but its the same result. It gives me that error, then the whole program just crashes. Can someone please help me? Thanks!
  7. So, I was making a building for Simcity 4. I was done with the building modeling in Sketchup and everything, but when I put it into Gmax, when it was rendering the building, near the bottom of it there were these random holes, that were NOT in the Sketchup model. The holes in the building were even there in the Lot Editor! I tried every quality setting: Draft, Low, Medium, and High, but the holes were still there! Can someone please help me with this? I've rendered something in Gmax before, and there were no holes at all! Maybe the building was too big? I wish I could include screenshots, but I guess I didn't take any.
  8. Hi there, After many years of working off my old rush hour cd-rom I had a re-install and purchased Deluxe on Steam since I couldn't find all the original CDs... Cut to yesterday trying to place all my many modds, etc into the new plugins folder, every time I open the game it gives me a blank region (instead of Timbuktu) and all the text is missing from the settings menu, regions menu, all text. I tried isolating different modds (yes, it took me many hours!!) and still no luck. Hoping someone else using a Mac running Yosemite has seen this problem and maybe has some suggestions. I cringe at the thought of trying to reload all my old files and unzip every single thing... Anyone have any suggestions or know of a particular modd that could be causing this... anything?? Please and thank you!
