This isn't a request for a BAT, but rather an old wallpaper/promo image. There was once this night view of the SimCity 4 Opera House from an actual ground view perspective, but I haven't been able to find it anywhere online lately. If anyone has it saved, it would be appreciated.

There was a park I found on a reddit screenshot recently I really liked, but unfortunately I can't find the screenshot again to use to illustrate the example. It was a lovely green park that looked distinct from the rest of the city (primarily Maxis assets) that had a bright, light green grass, dark green trees that weren't Maxis and there was a blue creek running through it. The colors were noticeably brighter compared to the usual Maxis palettes, and I would guess it was a singular asset without dependencies, but I don't know for sure. It didn't look too big in size. Anyone have any clue what it might be? If not, worry not given the lack of pictures.

I got it to work and it's BEAUTIFUL. Thank you so much, I've been waiting years for something like this. Thank you so much! -

YES! The last option you mentioned is exactly what I am thinking of! It's how I thought the prop set worked years ago when I first heard of it. Which flags randomly appear is fine too, I don't mind clicking again and again to get the one I want, and it frees menu space up anyway. But yes, PERFECT, thank you so much! After so many years I'll get this working finally! -
I'm rather glad I found this thread. All I know is this is a shopping complex in the more walkable, touristy area of town...

I was wondering... is there any way to get the Day of Peace flags all individually? I can't get the One Nation Many Flags mod to work for me for some reason, but even beyond that I like the idea of having more than one flag available for use. The only way I can get it to remotely work is as part of the beach set mod, and even then as part of an extended promenade, which is grouped together and too specialized as is. I guess something like the recent Ukrainian Flag mod but with all of the pre-existing individual flags. OR if there is a way to make this work, please tell me, you'll make my day. 😅 Knowing how things go, I'm a Mac user if it matters any. -
THANK YOU SO MUCH, I've been looking for this for years!

Can someone help me identify these flower fields? I suppose I can look through all of SimGoober's work manually, but if anyone knows off the bat... 🧐 How did I double post, forgive me, just drove for ten hours and out of it. 🤪 Mods can merge my posts if they want.

Dadancheta of Twitter/Instagram is doing a project called "Small Worlds 2021" where she makes a building or complex for each month of the year. Even though they're all pretty cool, the City of July is my favorite so far and I thought it would make for a really neat BAT in the game if anyone wants to take a shot at it.

I will say if anyone does so, I'll make sure to ask her for permission for her design to be used, of course.

The colors threw me off and I forgot! That is a beautiful remake though, so thank you!

According to the Lost Media Wiki, there's a render of a building that didn't make it into the game, as can be seen here: I think it's quite stylish and good looking, if anyone wants to take a stab at putting it (back) into the game.

I'm back into the game, and I'm working on a new region... an actual full one! This time I'm not only doing small-tile squares and calling it a day. That said, I'm starting off with the rural parts along the edges and I'm working with vanilla farms right now, although I'll probably use SPAM later on into the region once natural vanilla agriculture demand drops. While I like both vanilla and SPAM farms, vanilla farms strike me as even more bucolic than the more industrial-seeming SPAM stuff and this part of the region is explicitly more scenic. I'd like to thank @CorinaMarie for inspiring me, because even though these farms are tiny, she's done beautiful things with the vanilla farms and she's inspired me in ways from using various trees as field barriers to trying to blend other buildings next to and even within the fields. (That light green plain grass texture is great, I need to use that manually a lot more.)

The Night4Maxis project... dusk and dawn for Bat4max buildings
Photovoltaic Array replied to Spamoidutout's topic in SC4 Modding - Open Discussion
@CorinaMarie @Spamoidutout has been modifying existing BATs to better exist with MaxisNite, as per his OP. He's worried about getting the permissions involved -- while for currently active BATters it makes sense to ask them directly about potential (re)releases involving their work, the thing in specific I was wondering about for him was regarding editing the older work of BATters who are no longer seriously active here. I could have sworn there was a policy of sorts that if they haven't been active for a good long time (a year or so? more?) it's fair game to edit it with proper credit attributed, but I don't know for sure and knew you would. -

These both look really cool! I hope to see them released soon! I guess if you're worried, start with asking the people whose buildings you're currently modifying and see if they're ok with it. I really don't see anything necessarily wrong with that, and if they say no, move on I suppose. But given how you're not taking anything away from them, I don't see the problem myself. For older stuff with BATters no longer active here, I guess ask @CorinaMarie what Simtropolis policies are, but I've seen some people modify and update really old BATs. -

I'm honestly really intrigued by this project. How is it going? I legitimately like both MaxisNite and DarkNite -- both are beautiful in their own ways. That said I'm currently working in a MN city and I'm interested in your method given how the samples look, especially since in my own experience I think some BATs out there, beautiful as they are, were clearly tailor-made for DN by far. Beyond that I'm also legitimately interested in how you can just switch outright to DN anyway using your method if one really wanted to do so and they look excellent in there as well. If nothing else I feel it would be good to have excellent MN and DN versions off the bat and you do MN versions of recent stuff really well. -
@Spamoidutout If anything thank you, you reminded me I needed to redownload some new favorites after getting a new laptop and forgetting to backup my most recent plugin folder incarnation. Also intrigued by what you're working with as well!

Firstly, @kschmidt @gwada971and @rsc204, thank you all so much, you've made my day! rsc204: Ok, reading over your post, I get it now. More importantly, I really don't want you to do extra work anyway for some specific pieces... all the moreso if it's stuff that hasn't been released yet. I am looking at your SWN and TGN mods and like the idea of doing a more total conversion for my next city so I'll save them for that. It's really pretty stuff. Also if I may say so, the diagonal fillers are absolutely something I didn't have and didn't know I needed, bless you for those. Thank you all again, all of this material is wonderful!

Can someone help me find 1) the fountain circled in red 2) more broadly, those grass parks with the flowers and small trees circled in blue, and 3) these gray plaza lots? Looking at them, they're all probably part of various park/prop/texture packs but direct me if that's the case. Thank you all in advance in any event!

At this rate I don't think anyone would mind if you used a stock photo that looked broadly similar to it or created your own version directly. This even opens up the possibility for other wall ads too if you wanted to do multiple versions of TT for a gimmick. The original ad would be over twenty years old now and be incredibly hard to find without Quigley being able to give clues on it/providing reference to the original SC3000 render of the building.
