Hi Michi! Sorry for the long absence, but first Simtrpolis had some hiccups, and then my OS was so buggy and unstable that I decided to format and re-install. Thanks a lot for pointing me to that water edge park! That's really a very nice-looking element. Your new screenshots almost made me cry (as always). So far, I haven't had much time to play SC 4, thus my biggest city was ~140.000, and I didn't have any of the really big skycrapers yet. But now I'm gonna reinstall SC4, paint a new region from scratch and start building! LOL, I just noticed you used the Cinedom BAT (or is it a LOT?) Well, you know what I mean. That's cool! I'm from Cologne, so I know the original building very well. In fact, I'm planning to use the entire Mediapark lot in one of my future cities... it just adds that touch of Home Sweet Home. Almost makes me hear that song: Do simmer dabei, dat is pri-hima, viva Colonia! I really like that you managed to build the downtown area with quite an interesting street pattern, not just a regular grid. In fact, the only little suggestion I can think of is that you might try to make an avenue underpass under the railroad tracks right next to that beautiful main station. I don't think it's very realistic to have an inner-city avenue cross three railroad tracks just like that... ---EDIT--- Excuse me, I'm blind... in the latest downtown screenie, it can be seen that you already made one... nice work! ---/EDIT--- @ That Yacht Club thingy: I didn't want to call you a cheater or anything. I've followed this thread and seen that you've built lots of huge cities already... you don't need to prove that you can do it. I can even imagine that once you got the hang of it, it can be annoying and frustrating to wait for such a long time until you can finally sculpt the city exactly the way you want, so even if you had used that LOT on purpose, I wouldn't accuse you of anything. All I wanted to say is that to me it feels a bit like cheating to place such a bulding... I would feel bad if i did. Then again, I'm not even nearly as far as you are, so I still need to prove my mayor skills. Hope to see more of your fantastic cities... it's a great inspiration to see them - and a motivation, too.

LOL, I liked the sports facilities/graveyard combination in the last pic... if a sim gets hit badly by a ball, it's not a long way to go... But seriously: I liked that flat little island from the first shot, and the other screenie showing that kind of rocky peninsula with the highway crossing it and the avenue leading up from below... I think the access ways from the highway into the city are very well designed. Only the buildings need some more time to grow, but that will come... In fact, the only thing that didn't really convinve me was that beach right between the two bridges... I dunno, it didn't look very appealing to me - maybe try to find a better place? Oh, and in that yacht port shot: Which LOT/BAT did you use for that little stone wall and the palm trees? Looks great! I also saw that you used that exclusive yachting club, which is one of those building that look great, add much flair to your city AND even give you money... I'm always a bit reluctant about these buildings, as they're close to a cheat IMHO... but who cares, personal taste. All in all, that's a fine city you got going there - keep it up!
