  1. Central Bus Station with McDonalds

    Version 1.0

    3,740 Downloads

I decided to try to combine two themes with this one. I only hope it works. I took a McDonalds that someone else created (I could not remember or find who I downloaded it from but the credit is all theres for making the McDonalds, all theres) and placed it on a CS$$1_6X6 lot. Then I got the bus stations as props and placed them in. Finally I gave more randomness to the cars because they were all the same (how bland), plus added the buses, and added more people in the surrounding area. This version is not ploppable. I'm trying to make this ploppable but do not know how yet. Also I want this to work as a bus station with the McD's on the side, but if the McD's has a mind of it own (and it seems it does because it has files associated with it when I downloaded it) then is it possible to get two things out of the same lot? Can it work as bus depot and restaurant? I'm probably thinking no. If I can get help with this, it might actually turn out to be worth something. So grade as you please and help me be a better editor and future BATter.
  2. Covered Plaza by Underworld

Cool! If it rains in SimCity, you might as well give them a roof.
  3. How to host pics off-site

  4. The Worst City Journal EVER

This is utter crap, but its good crap, and funny at that. When looking for the top-secret Area 51, if you pass the DQ, you've gone too far LMAO!!!! Here's to hoping you get out of this mess with the parents and make more crap. Suggestion: Isolate half of your population, by destroying a road, and make one that takes the long way around to get to their destination, which will force everyone to go through more residential, commercial, and industrial, before they get to work. Then you will have a true traffic mess.
  5. Wood County - Rebirth

Awesome CJ, Thatmonkeysim! I love how you made the subway maps. They look so real, as if I was looking through an engineer's plans. Now I really want photoshop. And Finally Wal-Mart comes in to dominate the mom and pop stores in Duchati! Mwhahahahh.... I will keep my eye on this one, and await the Region View.
  6. Lithium County

Well, this would be my first CJ. I hope you like the content I provide, and feel free to comment, add suggestions, etc. My Region is Lithium County. It comprises so far of Lithium City (yet unbuilt, but will be the center of everything), Titanium Springs, Prometheus, South Silver (in the future I will build Silver City), Argonia, Argonian Delta, and Krypton Kurb. And as you can guess the city names are elemental. Note: some planning for cities will force me to use the more money cheat. Argonia, Argonian Delta, and South Silver are located on the Argon River, all south of Titanium Springs. Note: in making my region, I do not throw in landforms and rivers until I'm ready to work on a city. I can then personalize the features to the city they are nearby. The Argon River is made in this way. This is the map to the future developments that will occur. Included are the Promethian Highway, scheduled to pass through the future city of Silver City and just south of Lithium City. The Argonian Highway will follow the Argon River to the border of the county (yes, this is a big-ass county). Finally, a closeup on the roads comprising of Titanium Springs and Lithium City. I hope that Titanium can help Lithium grow with an acceleration or at least provoke skyscrapers to rise. (High hopes) Keep checking for more information as more cities are added and traffic actually fills the roads.
  7. Lithium County

Here's another small update for today. This will showcase a new area, to the west of Lithium City, north of Prometheus, and east of Indium Beach. The area is named Potassium Plain, and they are the leading producer of bananas in Lithium County. Most of the population, however, does not slave away in the banana fields, but rather in office buildings that manage the production of bananas and other fruit products. The headquarters of Simquita Bananas is also located here. Those that do work in the fields are rather used to the work already, as many of them were moved into the city after the Urania uranium mine explosion. South of the city is the small town of Banana (clearly the founders were not as creative as others), and most of its small population works in Prometheus. Potassium Plain is also the site of a major communications network of radio stations and television tranmitters, located on Frequency Hill. The gigantic super transmitter has been known to reflect signals from extraterrestrials, and in some cases those interstellar transmissions have interrupted such broadcasts like the President's State of the Union address and the World Series. Prepare for an invasion of Sims in the next update when we go to Chlorington, currently the largest city in Lithium County.
  8. Sonic Drive In

Uh, can I have a number 2 with cheese and mayo...... oh this is an awesome BAT!
  9. Riff starts to BAT

Well, I've been toying around with GMAX a bit, and have created some stuff. I haven't fully reached my potential yet, and GMAX is a hard piece of software to learn. But I felt I might start a thread to showcase what I create, to learn as I go, to post updates and drafts, and to generally have fun with all of it. Please feel free to comment and be helpful if I have any problems. For the first post, I have an uncompleted version of Aegon Center in Louisville, KY. I was just there yesterday soaking in the architecture and became inspired. On this model I have yet to apply textures and may have to tweak it some. I also need to apply a lattice to the dome on the top of the tower. But this being my first real attempt at BATting, I wouldn't say it's bad. Here's a pic of the real building. And my BAT attempt. I hope I can complete this building and make my mark on ST.

I must ask what the EXE installer is for before I download this. I haven't been around recently if this has been addressed.
  16. The Region Sunshine.

I was gonna say I don't like islands too much for the lack of expansion, but I didn't see those underground tunnels you built between them until just now. Keep up the good work.

  20. Riff starts to BAT

Hello again, fellow BATters. I will attempt to get Aegon Center completed. Nintendo Master has said he will help out with certain parts and the rendering. Viva La BAT!
  21. Lithium County

Now for a big update that will focus on Northern Lithium County extensively. First a layout of the general area and how they are divided. Note: Because of spacing constraints and other idiocy, Chlorine Crossing at the bottom of the image fits in between Isotopian Wilderness and Carbon Canyon. (I was wondering why they didn't seem to fit.) Before talking about these little areas, I would like to show Tantulum Industry City just to the south. Tantulum Industry City, or TIC, is one the most congested and polluted places in Lithium County, matched only by Xenon Prime and Mercury Lake. It is powered by a new and mysterious technology known as a hypermatter annihilator, which gives plenty of power for the industrial city and its neighbors Lithium City and Chlorington. 2/3rds of Chlorington's 350,000 + population work in TIC, and as a result, the roads and avenues on the east side are a nightmare. A solution will soon be presented to the Tantulum City Board. TIC is also the location of the Rising Sun Oil Company which has a pipeline that runs through the city and into Chlorington. Returning to the north, I will go from west to east starting with Tantulum Wilderness. Tantulum Wilderness is just to the north of Tantalum Industry City, yet its residents do not wish to work in that pollution filled area. The people of the Wilderness in general like the outdoors and don't mind maybe one power plant or transmission tower. The small town of Tantulum is dwarfed by two peaks, Tantalum Mount and Tantalus Mount. Old Man Crawford lives in the valley between the mountains, and every now and then comes out of his hermitage to go fishing up north. As we go east, we encounter the strictly enforced laws of Isotope State Forest. You cannot even spit on the ground without being fined for littering. The residents of Tantalum know better than to go near it, but chuckle whenever out-of-towners get a ticket from the deputy for spitting out the window. We then cross the town line of Isotope, situated on Lake Isotope, and surrounded by more forest. This is as desolate as anything gets. Again, do not spit in Isotope State Park, or they will throw you into the lake and watch you drown. Yes, nice little town. After we exit the Wilderness area, we come across the great Chlorine River. From here one take boat downstream to such locales as Goldtown and Ironborough on the Radon River. The town of Chlorine Crossing sits here, and is funded from the tolls made on the bridge. Looming over the town is Meitner Mound, a large upheaval of earth from the early Triassic era. It has been confirmed as a site for large dinosaur fossils, particularly the giant Simosaurus. Continuing to the east we encounter the Carbon River turning into Carbon Canyon. Carbon Canyon used to be one giant mountain but was carved into two separate and distinct pieces, Carbon Peak and Aluminum Butte. It is also where Carbon Creek branches off and flows into the Chlorine at Neptune City. The very tall bridge crossing the expanse was first constructed in 1926, and reinforced with concrete in 1978. Driving east down River Road, we come across a little island with a big dock. As its the only way off the island it is needed. Carbon Island sits at a split of the Carbon River, the result of many particles being bunched together at a sand bar. It is known to have been inhabited as long as 400 years ago when natives roamed the land. Today, a few families live on the island and work at small shops where tourists buy gifts. To the north of the island is Tritium Ridge, the start of a continental divide which separates the two parts of the continent of which Lithium County belongs to. Going east for the final time, the Carbon River curves south back towards the Chlorine at Fermi Ridge. Residents of the Town of Fermi Ridge are mostly farmers, and the main crop is soybeans. The town is powered by a steam plant in the valley. Now you have seen the northern tier of Lithium County. Stay tuned for more updates.
  22. Indianapolis, IN (as close to accurate as possible)

Hey Krillin. Nice start on your recreation. Might I add that Google now has satellite on their maps, and 1 meter high res for metropolitan areas. Indianapolis has sweet high-res, and I zoomed in on the Speedway, where you can make out cars. Keep up the good work.
  23. ISAT Chemical Inc

Yes, more industry. I want to build more industry empires, and this is how I'll do it!
  24. Splash Point Water Park Front Entrance

Nice. Have you fixed that base texture bug yet?
  25. Lithium County

Well it took 8 months to return but after the long break I am back with an update to the popular Lithium County. Here are the first pics from today. I have downloaded the awesomely huge NephlonAristaArximia for use in Lithium City. Because LC took so much time to load, I did not take pics from inside the city due to already major slowdown (lag not a result of the building but the existing city). I took a pic from region view to show the true nature of this building. It can be seen for tens of miles if not hundreds, and now I feel like these are the first steps to making a true Coruscanti landscape. Then another shot with slightly more detail. Did any notice that is a new city that has developed in the upper right hand corner of the first picture? That's the newly created Neptune City, named for the element Neptunium. Because the god from which Neptunium was named for is the god of the seas, I decided to make Neptune City surrounded by water. The downtown area is on a peninsula accessible by land from the west, and via bridges on the north, south, and east. Neptune City also gets a portion of its water from Neptune Bay by desalinization. There is an industrial area southeast of the city known as Spearville. The reasoning for the name is that there are a few competing companies within the area that make spears and pitchforks for farm equipment. One owner, Philander Barstow, used the concept of the main city to spearhead his ideas, and invented a catchy name that people would remember. Neptune City currently stands at a population of 23,730, bringing Lithium County's population to 1,932,406. That's all for now. Hope I return sooner this time.
