1. 150kV Tubular pole set. (HD)

Version 1.0

---Tubular pole set (HD) (v 1.0)--- --------------------------------------- Models and lot files are created by Buzzit. --------------------------------------- This package contains the following files: 1x Orthogonal piece 1x Diagonal piece 1x Corner piece left 1x Corner piece right 1x Start/ending piece No dependencies required! --------------------------------------- Installation: Just put the set in your plugins folder and your done! --------------------------------------- Whats new? with newer/custom buildings. - The pieces are created with a new reference. I used 3 meter humans instead of 4. Making them slightly less big then my older sets. --------------------------------------- Known issues - none so far! yay! --------------------------------------- This set contains 6 150kV tubular poles. These models are based on real-life models seen in The Netherlands. The Start ending piece is functioning like a powerplant generating 1500MV. Enough to power industrial areas and small cities. The pieces have a little description to explain its use in the powergrid. The pylons aren't slope friendly and should only be used on flat ground. Feel free to use the pylons for your own powerlots under the condition that you give me credit for the pylons themselves. If you have any issues place the issue on the forums of SC4D or Simtropolis and i will try to solve them ASAP. Have fun! Buzzit ---------------------------------------

Hi all! its been more than a year since i released something! and i finally completed the German set i promised ages ago! These new pylons have tons of little changes including a more realistic height and alot of new details. but thats not all The sets are bigger now including even more pylons like -Anchor pylons -Switch pylons -Rivercrossing pylons. The pylons are in real life arround 30 meters(or slightly higher) and in simmeter its arround 60(because sims are 4 meters long) So they dont fit that well with my older models For more info check out the readme wich you can find VVV and in the rar file. have fun! This set will eventually get an expansion pack including diagonal switch, anchor and river crossing pylons. but also more substation models and another pylon model. ---German themed high voltage pylons--- --------------------------------------- Models and lot files are created by Buzzit. --------------------------------------- This package contains the following files: 1x Straight pylon(model+lot) 1x diagonal pylon(model+lot) 1x Corner pylon left(model+lot) 1x Corner pylon right(model+lot) 1x Corner Pylon 90 degree(model+lot) 1x Substation pylon(model+lot) 1x Anchor pylon(model+lot) 1x Switch pylon((model+lot) 1x Rivercrossing pylon(model+lot) No dependencies required! --------------------------------------- Whats new? - pylons are twice the size of the other sets. This time i used a character to help me modeling. After i knew that sims are accually 4 meters instead of 2 i remodeld my standards to fit this. Thats why my pylons look so big compared to some maxis buildings. allthough they fit quite nicely with newer/custom buildings. -More details: This one speaks for it self. The pylons now have more details. - Darker textures on the pylon it self with little dirt and rust spots. -More pylon types including anchor switch and river crossing pylons. --------------------------------------- Known issues - The pylons catch fire sometimes. i dont know why these pylons do that. as my other sets arent having this glitch. to fix this just send your firefighters to controle the flames hehe if they catch fire alot. come back here and tell me i will seriously look into it furter more.(but as far as i know they dont catch fire that much) - You cant place trees arround and under the pylons. if you do want to have vegitation. first demolish the pylon and after that add the vegitiation you like(but this glitch is accually realistic lol.) --------------------------------------- This set contains 9 220kV double circuit one-level pylons wich are based on RL models. the corner, straight and special pylons are all power-eye-candy. But the substation pylons act like actual powerplants(wich generate about 2000MW) wich means you don't need to plop a new powerplant or use a power cheat everytime you create a new map. The pylons aren't slope friendly and should only be used on flat ground. Feel free to use the pylons for your own powerlots under the condition that you give me credit for the pylons themselves. If you have any issues place the issue on the forums of SC4D or Simtropolis and i will try to solve them ASAP Have fun! 3. LordShadow`s BAT`s

Amazing work! Keep it up! About scaling. If i'm correct i somewhere readed that sims are around 3/4 meters. They atleast where longer than normal humans at first for my bat used 200% for scaling i reduced this to 150% length and width wise and to 183 for the heigh. The result is pretty good if you ask me. Correct me if i'm wrong offcourse but these are my 2 cents on this subject .
4. hi there foks as you already quessed im constructing powerlines for simcity mostely european styled(since metarvo is busy with american themed ones) i already made a small list for some countries im constructing powerlines for but this is not the complete list (i may add more countries later). why am i doing all this? well.. im a huge powerline fan.. they inspire me because of ther size and construction. i allways disliked the default maxis one they are so unrealistic without deviation(corner)pylons and pylons2substations. but thats not all i also disliked that you could only choose one type of pylon. i mean look at RL ther are several pylon types wich includes diffrent voltages and circuits etc. so i though i make a change to that! and that all started when is saw metarvo's work wich was a big reason for me to try it my self. im pretty amazed how far i am now allready it gives me a promising feeling for the future but i also have a pretty busy real life as i am following a music related coarse wich is really time consuming. but i will work on it anyhow i allways have the sundays to work on it enjoy your stay! 5. Hey fellow mayors! If you didn't notice yet my newest addition for your powergrids has been finished an released ! 7th set: Country wich this set is used in: Pretty much any country has a monopole/tubular pole variant. These are based on Dutch ones though. Type : Double circuit in a barrel configuration. Height: ~25/30 meters in real life. (~50 in simcity meters) Voltage: 20kV (or 20.000 volts) Link: And i'm already figuring out what to do next! I'm busy creating a replacement set for rural/lowwealth streetlights. You see these kind of poles alot in european villages and rural areas. But i noticed you rarely see a pack containing these. (exept that Asian one wich is fantastic!) The ones you see now are seen in holland but i'm planning to create some from other countries aswel (as these aren't hard to model at all!) I only have to figure out how to give them a lightcone and how to make them replace the original maxis ones. But i think im on the right way with the t21 tutorial! More updates soon! Buzzit.
6. 150kV Tubular pole set. (HD)

Kinda.  I made the start/ending piece behave like a powerplant. So the line it self doesnt transmit power. but since the ending piece acts like a powerplant the area you want to power will receive energy. (The ending piece does not generate any form of pollution though.)
7. Cascadia Tree Controller

Amazing! Thank you!
8. New set ready ! 150kV tubular pole set!

9. this is really nice but unfortunately the version i have is the steam 1 so i quess i have to wait for a solution for that.
10. Light Replacement Mod - Dutch Set

fantastic work maarten! these will make it all look really good!
11. Dutch Electric Pylon Set - 220KV - "Drie-Even"

incredible job you did maarten. These seem incredibly realistic. Unfortunately it seems like i stopped modeling for simcity because of my crashed HHD. I also started a google earth project wich gives me alot more freedom for something like this further more fantastic work. i will put them to good use
12. Power lines!

Well thats an interesting topic you got there. i assume the game is more orientated towards american cities? because the power distribution in America is somewhat diffrent than in Europe for sample. but i quess they just stick to basic high voltage lines and the agents do the rest.
13. Power lines!

well, if the powerlines are moddable and not hardcoded like in sc4 i will continue my powerline project into 2013. i really hope its like this since i already saw the lines didnt look that realistic.. if i'm not mistaken the lines only have 2 wires wich is unrealistic because every circuit exists out of 3 phases. wich can exist into 1 circuit or more. we'll see what the future brings. i'm glad they still have lines in game. i was kinda worried this wasn't implimented.
14. glad you guys like the pack so far. if you guys have any trouble or questions for realistic use of the set you can allways PM me. when i have packs of all the voltages i want (20, 50/60 110/150 220/380kV), i will create a step by step tutorial on how to properly create a realistic powergrid for your region without use of any maxis poles
15. Paeng & Murimk's RuPS

this is just what i needed! exellent job!
16.
someone has stolen all lines :S
oh lol.. i get it now..
17. i made them wireless because you would not be able to place them into sloped areas. Since most of the players here have added land (in highs etc) its better to have them wireless. there's not much to do about this unfortunately.

---French 20kV medium voltage pole set 2.0(overhauled)--- It has been ages since i uploaded something here so i present you the new and overhauled Wireless 20kV medium voltage poles. With types seen in Belgium, France Spain and Luxembourg. this is my 6th upload and many more will come! Instructions and readme --------------------------------------- Models and lot files are created by Buzzit. --------------------------------------- This package contains the following files: 8x 8 diffrent types of poles ortogonal(models+lots) 8x 8 diffrent types of poles diagonal(models+lots) 1x Corner pole left(model+lot) 1x Corner pole right(model+lot) 2x Corner Pylon 90 degree (Orthogonal and Diagonal) (models+lots) 4x end poles (Orthogonal and diagonal ending. And the ending + switch poles) (models+lots) (FUNCTIONAL) 2x T-junction poles (Orthogonal and Diagonal) (models+lots) 2x Normal + and X crossings (Orthogonal and Diagonal) (models+lots) 2x Rivercrossing pylon (Orthogonal and Diagonal) (models+lots) No dependencies required! --------------------------------------- Whats new in contrast to version 1.0 - The poles are now wireless wich easen up the plopping at both flat ground and sloped ground. But you also don't have to worry about distance between the pylons now. - The poles are twice the size of the earlier release, giving them a more realistic feel. - Added 7 new types of Orthogonal and Diagonal suspension pylons to choose from for extra variaty. - Changed the junction and crossing pieces to universal models saving alot of space and time, plus you dont have over 60+ additional lots. - added 'river'crossing poles. these are added to cross high ways, rivers and other large obstacles wich the normal poles are to low for. - plenty of other small eyecandy to increase realism. --------------------------------------- Known issues - The end pylons still seem to show the need for a road even after some edits. i don't know how to fix this now. But when i know how to fix it i will fix it asap. The poles do function properly when placed next to roads however. - Brick texture when placing at slopes. This is also a issue i still don't know how to fix. To compensate this i made the occupant size as small as possible. --------------------------------------- Installation - Just put the map within the zip file into the plugins folder and everything is set! to make things easier you could make a seperate folder for all my powerline projects! --------------------------------------- This set contains 30 French 20kV medium voltage poles. As seen in all over France these little buggers carry power throughout the rural areas of France, Belgium, Spain and Luxembourg. With multiple diffrent configurations i made up to 8 diffrent types as seen in real life. All with their own small describtion based on my own experience with these poles. In the future more packs will become wireless as i have tasted how easy it works myself. The little brick blocks wich show beneath the poles only occure when the ground isnt totally flat. when the ground is flat you will see the poles without any help. every upcomming pack i will create. The end pieces produce 200MW of power so they can be used to replace the default maxis pylons. if you noticed any other bug please report it at my forum topic. Have fun! Buzzit --------------------------------------- whats next?: Dutch 150kV tubular 'barrel shaped' pylons
19. Show us your Nature!

thanks ! those are pylons i currently test and model. its a set i will release wired and wireless in the future after i released my overhauled 20kV medium pack wich will be released very soon!
20. Show us your Nature!

i don't know if this the right place. but here's a small shot from a piece of nature mixed with some heavy duty powerlines wich i wanted to test so far.
21. Cooling tower

thanks alot man! this perfectly fits my powerplants and complex electrical grids! thanks!
22. base is finally established, get ready for more batting progress!

23. wow its been an insanely long time ago since i posted something here. this is due an incredible amount of time spent on things i real life including school divorce of parents and alot of other things. but i didnt sit back! as you all may have seen i released a set not so long ago (for the people who don't know here's the link: https://www.simtropolis.com/forum/files/file/26735-german-themed-220kv-high-voltage-pylons-hd/ ) as they know on sc4d i currently working on the overhaul of my old and obsolete 20kV set. im planning to create a wireless slope friendly set and a set wich is wired(this one will only contain the most common dragpylon.) here's a picture of all the types wich will be included in the wireless set: . the only problem is that i can't seem to figure out on how to create them slope friendly i know there's a tutorial somewhere but i forgot what it called and what simcity site it was. if people can help me on the right track when its about slopefriendliness help is appriciated! these pylons look really good in game!(i already had a couple wired for test purposes) so i want to share them with you guys!
24. construction site 1

very nice addition! thank you hopefully you make one of a powerplant
25. German Themed 220kV high voltage pylons (HD)

its fixed now! my apologies!
