  1. Sim City 4 Taxi Company Thread

Well, I could give it a try. I'll gladly help you, but I don't have any time untill next week. Then I'll look into it.
  2. Sim City 4 Taxi Company Thread

I tried replying to this yesterday, but the site froze up on me... I think it's a very good idea. In fact it is such a good idea, that someone else already thought of it. Though, that lot is from 2003, so a newer version probably wouldn't hurt. If you're interested, I know my way around the reader and have a good knowledge about modding transit related items
  3. Can't find it?... Ask here!

To get turning lanes in regular roads you need the NAM. You can find the newest version here (for windows)
  4. Riprap Seawall Addon

These are very good! And a good addition to your other sea walls! I'll give this 5/5
  5. SCAG Mega Dependency #1

It's good to see something new from SCAG This is, as always, superb work!
  6. There are several tutorials on the use of the Reader and modding in general. Try looking at the Omnibus on this site, and the modding section over at sc4devotion.com.
  7. Show us your Downtown!

It looks nice, Archean, though a bit too American for my personal taste Also, where is that large, blue roofed warehouse building to the right from? Oh, and I do hope that your grandmother get well again!
  8. Show us your Railroads!

Yep, I lot it all my self (except from the trucks and warehouses in my last pic - they're made by FrankU). It takes a lot of time, but the results are also a lot more satisfying.
  9. ST City & CJ school

[rises from the back of the class room] Ahem, may I come with some input? I have followed this thread since it was opened, and I have seen some good development in the students and their cities. But if may be honest, I think that they're all a little too pretty (the cities, that is, not the students). Many here aim for realism, and so do I, but the truth is that a realistic city is not a thing of beauty. A realistic city is polluted, dirty, full of noisy cars and dense traffic and huge eyesores such as concrete blocks, industrial wastelands and ill-planned high ways. So, if you want a realistic city, you have to remember, that every time you build a beautiful park (or similar) you'll also have to build an ugly block or an abandoned industrial warehouse. Anyone can create a huge (and to some extend unrealistic) city with a thousand sky scrapers, with an EQ average of 195 and nothing but high wealth inhabitants, but it really requires skill to make a city with both beauty and grit (a good example of a realistic CJ is the one by TekindusT, Tenements and Rust, I believe... although this is also a bit unrealistic as it ONLY features grit). Just my two cents. I hope it was useful. BTW, this should not be seen as a personal attack on anyone in this thread or elsewhere.
  10. Show us your Railroads!

Thank you. I really love all the praise. I have another shot for anyone who might be interested. It's still from the rail yard / container port but from a different angle and at night. And you can see, that I've worked some more on it
  11. Show us your Railroads!

Thank you, Yoshiisland I found the blue trainsheds on a very confusing site (which you can find here) The site is very much in korean and google translate won't work on it for some reason. But I think I once gave the exact link in the "Where can I find this" thread. Try have a look there... And now for something new from me (am I the only one here that builds railways?) I'm working on a container port, and no container port without a railyard! It obviously isn't finished yet, but I thought I'd share it any way. Enjoy! EDIT: I found my earlier post, that tell you were and how to get the sheds exactly
  12. Show us Your Interchanges!

It's a cheat, DrawPaths or maybe it's DrawPath.
  13. Can't find it?... Ask here!

@ijodecordoba The building you're requesting could also look a little like something frogface once created... Try making a search on his name, and see what comes up.
  14. Interesting. But wouldn't that require the sims to go through the hospital/school/college/whatever in question?
  15. SimCity 4 in 3D?

Short answer: No. The pictures you may have seen, could be from a 3d modelling programme or from CitiesXL, which is a city simulator in true 3d. Simtropolis has a whole forum for this game, it can be found here
