  1. I attended the U.S. Transplant Games last week. They were held in Minneapolis, MN. I spent several days sightseeing and was impressed by what I saw. I got to see the Spoonbridge and Cherry in the Sculpture Garden, and the Landmark Center in St Paul. both are available on the STEX. It was great to see them in real life. A couple of my favorite bldg were the 701 Building, the Fifty South Sixth, City Hall, Wells Fargo and the 225 South Sixth bldg. you can see these are this site:http://www.emporis.com/en/wm/ci/bu/?id=101331 Minneapolis created a downtown mall to keep the shoppers in the city. It is called Nicolette Mall. It is closed to cars, but buses are allowed to run through it. Trendy stores Neiman Marcus, Saks etc line the street as well as many beautiful sculptures. I am unable to post pictures because I lost my camera the first day. The mall works-it was loaded with people. During weekends a Farmer market lines the the mall. There also were numerous fountains scattered through the downtown area. Minnepolis, St. Paul both have skyways that connect bldges with places like the Convention Center. Minneapolis has over 7 MILES of skyways. Is it possible to make skyways for the game???? The city has a light rail system which will eventually go to the airport and the Mall of America. I did not ride it, but took the buses all around St Paul and Minneapolis. I certainly have a much better idea of how mass transits works now. One exdordinary aspect of one bus trip was the placement of a bus stop on the Interstate going to the Mall of America. Is it possible to put a bus stop on the ground highways in the game???? There were many pedestrian walkways in both citys, and some other roads that could be gated off for big events. The riverfront area is being redeveloped, but many old historic bldgs are being left. I saw of older bldgs restored for apartment, lofts etc. within the city itself. I crossed a bridge designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. And I think there were some bldg designed by H.H. Richardson also. If you go to the website above be sure to look at the Weisman Art bldg- It was simply amazing. Someone should BAT it. There were lots of parks, lakes etc centally located. and lush very upscale houses on the Chain of Lakes tour. Impressive. I could go on and on but I won't.
