  1. Santas Ho Ho Ho to be Banned

Wierd Al addressed this in his song "Christmas at ground zero".... "You might hear reindeer on your rooftop, or Jack Frost on your windowsill, but if someone's climbing down your chimney, you better load your gun and shoot to kill..."
  2. WII park

Its ok, but nothing special. In fairness though in the description it says basically the same thing. I actually have it as a memorial type statue for my cemetery complex. Dead white guys riding horses is just so boring, why wouldn't they want to play WII in heaven, LOL.
  3. Where do you normally buy your games?

Walmart. They are the closest and their prices are usually the best.
  4. I still use the RHW in my cities. I tried the new NAM tools and really am not that impressed. I can't get the hang of the underground railroad tools, and while the diagonal street helpers are nice, its not worth reworking my region that I have been working on for the last 10 months.
  5. I like the idea of interchanges on the RHW, but why one that takes up so much real estate? 15 tiles is a lot of land in game terms and eventually when that area becomes "urbanized" it essentially would be a waste of a lot of land. I also use the RHW as an intermediate between Avenues and highways in my cities, and an interchange that large would prevent me from doing that.
  6. Mega Air Cleaner

Wow, I can't believe I have had this for almost 3 years now. I really love this lot. I don't believe in a 'free lunch' so the high cost justifies me using it. IF you are still around, could you modify it to take care of things like car pollution too?
  7. PEG CDK3 Garbage Docks

As usual PEG, a number one job! Your attention to detail and the quality make your lots first rate.
  8. NAM: Development

I'm still finding things in the current NAM. Just a couple months ago for example I discovered road/avenue ramps. I've started experimenting with the elevated road puzzle pieces and the RHW since its currently lacking in on/off ramps, I'm making my own. Yes a new NAM would be nice, we all like new, but I prefer quality, and besides, RLS (Real Life Syndrome) sucks.
  9. I really love what you are doing. I've been playing around with the current version, and can really see the help this gives my cities. I know you are going for realism here, but I really want to stress that while the entrances to the big dig can restrict traffic, the tubes themselves should be increased some to the Maxis capacities at least.
  10. I think I know one person who is getting a trixie this year. I agree MiniMark
  11. St BLaMs Boarding School

Where are the watch towers, guard dogs, and razor wire.... Seriously, its a wonderful bat, and something that is needed in the cities.
  12. While playing around with the current big dig stuff, I've noticed that the emergency vehicles can't use it. Is this something that can be fixed, or is it a limitation that just has to be lived with? I'm going to add my praises to this steady stream. Excellent work, if it wasn't for people like you and the NAM team, I would have gone away from sim city a long time ago.
  13. Unfortunately there are many roads in the NYC area that really need a lot of help. They were basically designed and built from the mid 30's to the very early 70's, at the peak of Robert Moses' power. For those of you interested, you can try this website. ITs got a lot of historical information on the nyc area roads. www.nycroads.com My favorite as a road that is horrible is the Pulaski Skyway in NJ. ITs very narrow, and is so old its falling apart, but what do you expect for a road built just before WWI.
  14. I was really looking forward to some updates to the project, I really like the concept of it, but there are a couple questions I had. Guess they will have to wait. I may end up uninstalling it until things start up again.

  16. I want the sign, bring it back, please???? I loved the sign.
  17. BBC Will Wright Video

Very, very briefly. He spent maybe one sentence on SC4, most of it was The Sims.
  18. What Operating Systems Have You Used

Well I started out with TRS-DOS, 2.3,1.3,6.x, and from there migrated to a C-64, so that means basically GEOS, and basic, then I went to Amiga, 1.3.2.1,3.x, then MSDOS, then Windows, 2.0,3.0,3.1,3.11,95/98/me/XP/XP-64. Lots of computer history there.....
  19. Simtropolis 2006 Technology Upgrade

I will be more than happy to donate come the middle of the month when my check gets deposited. I've been sitting on the fence for a long time, and this just pushed me over the edge. Just out of curiosity though, how much does PayPal keep if we use that as a way to donate?
  20. My cities tend to be run as a benevolent dictatorship. I do whatever I want but its all geared toward keeping the sims happy.
  21. Tidal Power Plant

Its a wonderful idea but the implementation is a little lacking.
  22. Moose Factory Bar and Grill

I like it, its just a simple little bar, and thats all it needs to be.
  23. Census Repository Facility

I've been using this file for awhile now, and really love it. The information it provides is essential for me to creat a well thought out, planned city. My only complaint, is the size. As a 1x1, it takes up very little room, but its very small for a huge city.Cities like big imposing buildings!
  24. Networks: Real life Interchanges

One I would like to see is whats commonly referred to as the Jersey jughandle where you turn right to make a left. Actually you turn right, make a curve and cross the road; thus eliminating left hand turns and making traffic flow a lot smoother.
  25. It may be ugly, it may look like a giant drill bit, but at least it shows that chicago isn't cowed by terrorists. Here in the NYC area they won. The freedom tower is nothing but an insult.
