Beige Estate v.1.0 That's the result of my latest attempt to do a non-european style bulding. It's modeled after a photo which I found by an accident when I was surfing (it's above). Unfortunatelly I can't tell you where this bulding exactly is, but I bet somewhere in the north America. It's a simple high wealth residential block. It has 16 floors, and the swimming pool on the uppest one. It can be visible as the light is turned on. As you can see, there are many balconies. What else can I say? Hope you'll like this building and download it. Sorry for 'very original' name of it, but I couldn't invent anything better. Hi. I hope someone will be albe to solve a problem which I have since I had installed gmax. The problem involves the nightligting maps, which intensity always has to be set to 100% (it must be completely non-transpatent), otherwise it will not be showed up. The only parameter I'm able to change is Global Opaticy, and it works, but for as long as the object's singular intensity amounts 100%.That means I can't do windows with various nightlighting intensity, and that's a big shame. Does someone know where the problem is? I tried to type the values on keyboard, and by using the arrows, nothing helps.

Mntoes, sorry to say that, but it does not work. I have no idea what's wrong: it's almost impossible to make a mistake in such an easy activity, so that's probably g-max bug. I've reinstalled this application many, many times, but it didn't help, so i bet it's the matter of my sick PC. I've rendered image many times, using even the highest quality, but as I see that's not the clue. http://rapidshare.de/files/32055598/planes.gmax.html Here's the link to the file made the same way that Mntoes described. Could someone take a look if it works beond my PC?

Great job, Shinnie. It looks great, but there's something strange about it: The upper parts of the building doesn't cast shadows. Besides, the windows textures could probably look better. I would try to change them and give them not such a 'cold' look. Anyway it's going to be a piece of a great BAT, shame that the roof isn't visible on the picture. I'm looking foward to see the whole building inagame

Looks nice - I like the gradient on the windows texture. The things to do are certainly an entrance and a first storey, which usually looks other way than the upper ones. I have no idea how does this building look like in the real life (what's its name by the way?), but I bet it does have something like that. Some roof junk would be nice too, but you of course know about that already. Besides, imo the very important thing that makes building more beautiful is definatelly good nightlighting. I love buildings that shine like diamonds on a dark velvet...... Ok, nevermind.
