Looking good here. This should beautifully shine at night.

Haven't seen neon lighting that around much! Glad you're making something like this :D

I think you misunderstood me I was saying the drop shadow texture looked too dark because in the photos it looks like the same shade of black as the borders of the signs (even though in real life the black colors are much darker, I think less contrast will look better in game).

But those night lights are turning out wonderful.

This is turning into very interesting building. :) Night light is so 60s. I haven't see many billboards of this type in SC4.

May be you shouldn't worry too much about wall-to-wall. The building is so big that perhaps it is better with its on block type lot. Possibly a landmark building.

    Thanks jmsepe, JP, SimCoug, Huston.
9grunts: That would be a nice addition to Dundas Square. Maybe in a few years, an Honest Ed sign will join it since the Honest Ed's building's long-term future seems doubtful.

Shydude: Ahh I understand now. I have brightened up that area of black to better match the rest. Looking at it now though, I think it could still come up a few shades.

Bombardiere: I wasn't quite clear in the my last post. I'm not worried about this fitting wall-to-wall as at 6 tiles wide, it's not something that really needs neighbours. I imagine the use for this in game will be like the real building, a block filling building. It has a definite urban character though which means it needs to fill a block without leaving excess space. So even though it's not going to have a wall-to-wall neighbour, it has to follow the tile dimensions to look right in game.

So I have been picking away at this over the holidays. Bloor Street side is now done.

With the Bloor front wrapped up, I'm onto the Markham Street side. There will still be a lot to do to fill in the alley and the back so hours to go yet, but getting there.

In other news, I'm more and more excited at what Cities Skyline seems to have in store for the city building genre. Unlike Cities XL and the newest Sim City, the more I see the more I like. I would recommend taking a look at the preview videos posted in the Skyline forum. You never know, some of my future projects might be converting old models to Skyline :)

Thank you for this message. Playing with your content for years - makes your avatar something familiar and not knowing what happened to people you enjoyed their work, sometimes creates a strange feeling of fatalism. As if sc4 was a senior citizen game.

And here I thought this was another case of thread necromancy, but no - thank you for popping in and letting us know what's going on in your life. :) Sounds like you're playing the city simulation game minus the simulation part now more than ever. Well, I wish you all the best, both for your family and for your career!

I remember reading your posts in 2012 from when you were first starting to break into the scene. It's awesome to see how far you've come and I couldn't be happier for you . I wish you all the best! Dartmouth is lucky to have you.

    Huge congrats!

Maybe in a few years you'll post again saying that you've transitioned Halifax to a planning oriented autocracy. And everyone loves you after you scattered some small grass parks around the city and everyone rebuilt their houses into mansions despite the fact that you demolished all of the high schools to save money. :D

In that case let's just hope nobody knows the Dolly Llama cheat. I can imagine his family would not be amused. :P

Congratulations! On the family and position.  Thank you very much for all the content you have shared with us over the years and thank you for sharing your current status, it's nice to hear how the members of this community are doing.

I thought about this, and am still thinking about it because though I've thought about this, I still have more thinking to do as to stop thinking about it would mean not to think.
