Hiya Cori, I just wanted to stop in and say hello and say that I'm thinking about you and always rootin' for you. I hope you're doing swell my dear friend! <3

I'm saying Hi to everyone else now as well. Sorry I've been a bit more sporadic again. All I want to do is play SC4 and dive more into my region, but work has been so exhausting on me for like the past 5+ months. I might even start looking for a less stressful job soon. I make big girl money finally, but I'm not sure it's worth it for the stress and exhaustion.  Anyways I hope everyone else is doing swell too!

Realizing they are round - perhaps you could take all our avatars like pearls and put them on a yarn and you would get a giant pearl necklace with a big smile from one end to the other - and if you tie the yarn together the smile even would be endless, going round and round.  As all those smiles maybe it's possible you collect them now like pearls - well, you did put them on our faces first.

I don't even know if you'll remember me. I was the one making the AMPS mod that you helped me with so much. I am only just now coming back to the community after 3 years away and learning of your struggles and that the world very nearly lost you.

First I want to apologize to you for simply disappearing from the commitment I made to you to finish what I started with your aid. I know why you felt the way you did when we very nearly lost you forever. I felt very much the same when my brother, @Skyroguen was taken from me by a stroke with no warning, which is why I stopped coming here and abandoned AMPS. He and I were very close and enjoyed playing games such as SC4 together. It was his belief in me that drove me to even try to make AMPS. When he was taken from me, I too wanted to die. He was my best friend. I just couldn't see finishing the project he drove me to take on... or do much of anything else... including go on without him.

It's taken me this long to get over it... to even try and come back and face the task of finishing what he pushed me to begin. I have no idea if I can, but I know I must try... for John... and now I know I need to try for you too.

Without my brother, I would have never even tried to make AMPS... I would never have believed I could do it.

Without you, I never would have gotten as far as I did... I would have given up in frustration and despair.

I owe it to you both to at least try and see this through.

I don't know where you are in life, but know that over the years I have thought of your kind and forgiving nature often. You helped me even when I messed up and very nearly ruined everything. You are so special like that! You didn't have to, but you did anyway. For that I thank you beyond words.

I know you too want to return but are unable to for some reason. I understand that. Even if you are never able to return here though, know that you are missed, loved, and thought of fondly and often. Never forget that. This place is your legacy. It will bear your imprint forever... as will all of us who come here. You have touched all of us and we are so much the better for it.

So sorry to hear this, the site just isn’t the same without you Cori. Your positivity and helpfulness were a bright light in the community. I still have a folder in my plugins with your name on it; your quick fixes to problems that had flummoxed SimCity players were truly a godsend.

For example, in my quest for improved plugin management I tried creating my own version of submenu'ing. One of the biggest changes I made was moving all my ploppable industrial lots into the relatively empty garbage menu. This cleared a huge chunk of lots out of the landmark menu, making it easier to navigate while simultaneously making those industrial lots that I love to plop much easier to find. There was just one little pitfall in this modification – garbage trucks sprang up everywhere! In some cities, there were literally more garbage trucks than cars on the road, I kid you not.

Knowing she was a whiz at the technical stuff, I asked Cori to look into the problem for me. She said, "Hold my beer, I'll be right back." Ok, she didn't exactly say that, but she might as well have. Within a few hours she programmed a file that solved a problem that had been plaguing me for years. That’s just the kind of person Cori is – always quick to offer a helping hand to anyone who needs it. I truly wish the world had more people like her.

Corina, take your time to heal, we're all rooting for you and very much looking forward to welcoming you back when the day comes.

I've re-read all of this thread and the prior one and I am so overwhelmed with grateful emotions to each and every one of you who have said kind things. Thank you ever so much! Please do understand it would take me forever to reply to each of you separately so I ask your forgiveness for not making my replies all personalized.

However, I do feel very strongly to mention @RobertaME. I'm so sorry to hear about your brother's sudden passing. Please accept my heartfelt condolences. Loss of someone so close is very difficult to deal with. I'm glad to see you've come back and you've regained your passion for AMPS. That reminds me too about my words and actions in your thread long ago and I'm so terribly sorry how I misunderstood you and then lashed out at you. That was wrong of me and I hope you can forgive me for that.

And back to all: Right now my living conditions are rather dismal, but adequate. I've been in touch with CB via Skype nearly every day and he's helped me keep my sanity. I don't have the game or any of the modding tools, but I hope to be around ST most days. It'll take a long while for me to catch up and I know there are so many exciting things going on to learn about.

Also, really hoping you'll love the DLL mods everyone's been working on. Well, whenever you get a chance to look at them/use them of course.

That said, I hope everything goes well for you. And take your time, there is a lot of stuff that's been done since you've been gone.

Anyway, I will certainly enjoy your presence on the site again, and looking forward to seeing what you'll add to everything eventually.

Oh, and don't over extend yourself. Remember to take breaks often so you don't get overwhelmed.

I know it's been a rough ride for you the past couple of years. Life is hard and unfair, but you've found light and strength to persevere. I'm very glad how you now feel able to return, as Simtropolis is a place you can still call home. In any capacity as you're able, we're happy to see you here again!
