I'm trying to find a gas station pack by Heblem. Included in it was BP, Exxon, Shell, Mobil, and Citgo stations with multiple lot sizes. I remember finding them on the STEX three or four years ago, however, I cannot seem to find them anymore. There is his here on the STEX but not of his stations. I had heard that he might have removed them to improve them. Is this true? Is it still out there for download and if so where?

Paeng's Gas Station Pack can be found Since it's a re-lotted version of Heblem's models, the appearance will be similar to the original lots (includes Shell, Mobil, Exxon etc).

I'm afraid this isn't possible without some serious modifications to the game's textures. A very insightful thread on this issue can be found

A workaround is to use the OWR-1 networks from the NWM. Otherwise, the jagged edges can be hidden by using these diagonal filler lots.

And a question about them: If I build a custom airport in one city, I won't have to worry about other cities demanding an airport either, right?

And a question about them: If I build a custom airport in one city, I won't have to worry about other cities demanding an airport either, right?

I'm afraid not Superbacon, most of the custom airport mods for download are not functional so all your cities (including where you build the custom airport)

will still demand you build an airport anyway.

Anything you build in one city has no effect on any other cities, except for region-wide RCI demand. Each individual city tile will need an airport in it to feel its effects.

However, as a realistic alternative, there are small lots available for download that have all the effects of airports. That way you can build a custom airport in one city, then plop those in the surrounding cities. Also make sure to put one in the city with the airport, as custom airports aren't functional like Xander Dax said.

You're going to need the four RMIP sets, which provide all the basics for custom airports:

Then there are plenty plane packs if you look on the STEX. There's also an RMIP update with advanced taxiway patterns, which I would ignore until you get the hang of this.

The brown boxes mean you are missing some dependencies. These are other files required for the lots to function correctly. To solve this, you will need to go back to the uploads, and check what dependencies are required. These are usually linked in the description / readme. If you can't remember what files you've downloaded, it's worth checking your Simtropolis Download History.

Excuse me?? What makes you think that? I've never had a problem with viruses from any downloads here at Simtropolis or SC4D. I diligently scan everything I download before opening it...even if it seems to come from a trusted member. So if you've had issues with viruses, you need to let the admin know about it.

Niether one of those downloads lists any dependencies, so unless someone here actually uses them and KNOWS for certain which dependencies are required, you may want to give up on them. However, just to be sure, do you have bldng_props1.dat and bldng_props2.dat - found here:

I would not have posted the comment if it hadn't been an issue. On at least 3 different occasions, while downloading files from simtropolis, and to be specific, modular airport lots, my anti-virus program (PC Tools Internet security) informed me of the threat, in which I immediately ran a full scan, and found two copies of the 'zero-day-threat' virus. I'm not given to exaggeration, I was merely asking if anyone else encountered the issue.

I'm not accusing you of exaggeration. I'm just surprised at what you said, that's all. I neither believe you nor disbelieve you. I just think if you're having trouble with viruses in custom content here at Simtropolis, you really need to say something to the admin about it, because they strive to keep the downloads here free of viruses. If you tell them which ones you found to be infected, they will investigate and remove them if necessary.


FWIW...as I said, I've never had a problem with getting any actual viruses, but I do admit when I first started downloading content from here, I used to get a lot of false positives. It turns out I had to update my scanner, and that eliminated the problem. Is your anti-virus updated?

Hi, guys! Could anyone point me to some LA-style residential buildings? I'm working on a city inspired by Los Angeles, so basicly a relatively small old downtown core, a slightly bigger new one built around it, and lots and lots of low density residential sprawl with commercial stretches along main roads. However, there are some pockets of density in LA which I can't seem to find just the right buildings for. I'm looking for some older tenement-like buildings, and some more modern ones. Something in the 1x3 and 2x3 range should probably be in order..
