The most famous logging set that I know is this one:

Of course you can edit them to look like what you have in mind, but I think that they already are useful, it's a very good content.

Great, thank you. I'll have a look.

Thanks for your help.

You asked for it, now you've got it!

This is the complete set to do Serious Logging in SimCity. And probably all wha I have too. Now, here's what you should do not to overload and jam your Plugins folder and get confused and mixed up: Rename your present Plugins folder to "Plugins1" (or anything you want), then start downloading the whole set and make sure they all have their depencencies also. A new Pluginsfolder will automatically be created by the game. Unzip and/or install everything in this new Plugins folder. Delete all non-necessaryfiles like the zips, readme ,pics etc. Now rename the Plugins folder to something like "Logging Stuff" and put the folder inot the Plugins folder  that you renamed "Plugins1" or something, and rename the Plugins1 folder back to Plugins. Now You Are Ready To Play the city tile where you want to do some serious logging. Once you're finished, and go on with other other cities that do not need logging scenes, just take out the "Logging Stuff" folder, put it aside and continue to play the rest without jamming, slowing down or else things with an overload of files. Whenever you come back to the logging scene tile, just put the Logging Stuff back into you plugins folder.

That's what I do and not only with Logging Stuff but also with others like:  BigCityBldgs - Harbours - Airports - Mines - BigTrainStations - Farms- etc.......I have a 14.8 Gb Plugins folder when I put every document into my Plugins, but I don't need them all at once, so this system makes me play with my regular Plugins all kind of max-detailed choices. Why keep everything in one folder when you don't need them everywhere? ;)

Fred

Ps: Glad to see my Nexis sawmill lots on that list too. :) Now have fun with all these lots and create a "Serious Logging Scene"!

That is great advise @mrbisonm ! I would never had thought of that! I have a plugin folder that I think is fairly organised but what you describe has made me realise how unorganised it probably is! I wanted a way to make it better and your suggestion certainly goes a long way to help me!

I'm looking forward to creating some good scenes!!

Thanks again!

Just wondering, were those ever uploaded to the STEX? If so, where are they? Thanks

I believe as part of the efforts @Tyberius06 has done with the STEX Custodian initiative, these SimCity Polska props have now been uploaded in a mega pack.

As follows:

I'm not 100% certain that all of the items you need are contained in this, but I came across this post which mentions a few of the names. There's also an overview picture preview of them posted here which shows them in the PIM-X it appears. If there's any others still needed, I'm sure someone will have the answer for you. *;)

@mrbisonm Hi, the 3 lots (193, 195 and 199) have not yet been uploaded to the STEX. The Saturn Prop Pack alone is there, but should not be used as an dependency (personal use only).

Hi!

The models are available for all the AC Saturn industrial contents (boiler, betonfactory etc...) in the Polish Mega Prop Pack as CB linked it. The Saturn Prop Pack is still available on STEX, since before I merged everything in one pack, I uploaded the original Saturn Prop Pack. The idea of merging together the single floating polish prop packs came later. Although I'm considering splitting up a bit the Polish Mega Prop Pack, and the Saturn Prop Pack V2 (?) will hold all the AC industrial stuffs and won't be part of the Mega Prop Pack.
The lots however are under revision and update. Their release was supposed to be happened by now, but the last minute works on NAM 37 alphas and the fact that we lost the WMP site (which held far less and more easy to re-organize creations) I started working on that. By now the WMP prop packs are available and I started to update the rest of the WMP/DocRorlach creations.

Anyway. The AC/Aras Saturn and the PGB creations will come pretty soon after I finished the uploads/updates of the WMP creations or in parallel with them. Although in the mean time I should check and update my earlier Heretic Projects uploads too, so there isn't a strick deadline, because I'm pretty overwhelmed with all of these projects.
So they will come it is just metter of time.

Or if you need them now or in the near future, send me a PM and I try to dig them out and send a copy.

I wonder if there are any small private docks that we can plop on "real  sc water", those that we see on lakes and rivers.

I noticed this pic:

In @Silur's most recent CJ entry. *:)

I don't know if that's included in the Piers file @c4bl3fl4m3 linked to or not. And if not, maybe someone recognizes this one or Silur might have a linky to it.

Yes, @gwada971 - Some great pier models created by COBB. But threre are no any violet colours.

But in my CJ...

I  work with my own reBAT and reLOT only as a rule.

Copyright models (OP4, COBB, WMP and others) may differ from the originals, but will never be freely available. In my journal I always try to pay tribute to the authors.

Hi all,

Some of you may know, a few weeks ago @CorinaMarie uploaded some old props as part of our Custodian incentive to restore long lost items.

As part of this, we're looking to add a few additional items too into this small collection. The idea is to have the older dependencies available for legacy lots that might need them. These are sometimes needed because the IIDs are different than in the Maxis bldgprops files.

We're specifically seeking these files:

  • merged.dat
  • plugin tree or bush.dat
  • Plugin_A80_PlugModd_functional.dat
  • Plugin_020_PlopLandmarks.dat

If anyone could send us these or know or their whereabouts that would be wonderful.

Thanks! *:)

@Cyclone Boom
For the merged.dat, try to browse through @tariely's uploads. I believe, she attached or included that file a couple of times to her uploads in the past. I'm not sure about the other three, though. As far as I know, the merge.dat was somehow important for MAC users back then.

Hi All

I was wondering if there was anything like the board walks as shown in the following pictures. Can any one recommend anything please?boardwalk-trails-white-sands.jpg.990x0_q80_crop-smart.jpg.b691e2910452e9babf1bcd411f70841c.jpgboardwalk-trails-yosemite.jpg.990x0_q80_crop-smart.jpg.5747a4fd07818b53b1591359136fa548.jpgexploring-the-plitivce-lakes-705x470.jpg.1d481318d0e161c91956347d697a42e5.jpgplitvice-lakes-2-1-705x471.jpg.e06ae27f7cfeab1c66ecb9987f562d9f.jpg

Ideally they would be good for any type of terrain but the most common is the type seen in the photo's.

Thanks

Hi @SIM-ple Jack thank you for your quick reply! Thank you for what you suggested but it's not quite what I'm after or at least I don't think it is. The Historic Harbour looks as if it's purely just for a sea based scenario unless specific aspects can used in other ways? I was looking for actual board paths that are used to cross marsh/flooded/sand/forest amongst other things. Basically they are scenic walks.

HH can be used for boardwalks in just about all scenerios, dry land or shore. It has 45's, 90's, a bunch of MMPs. Give it a whirl.

Hi!

There is the WMP Boardwalks. It's available on STEX, but it will be updated in the following days, so I would wait for a few days with the download. I'm working on updating and rehosting DocRorlack's creations. Until then check it out, but as I'm saying they will be updated in a few days.
