Well, I'm finally back after the long hiatus on playing Cities Skylines due to RAM issues. With a new RAM, I can now play properly for now. :)

Anyway, I really want to reboot the old city of Lexington......

I do like your colors, my only gripe with ifdisabling tonemapping is, that specularized roofs go completely white and lack any detail of the specular.

Here's my latest city I've been working on, inspired by Chicago with a similar downtown. Second shot is with tonemapping disabled.

Fantastic view!

So I don't dabble in this a feature.

Looking great Judazzz. If Skylines had slight more graphical detail for doing shots like that, I'd've sworn blind that it's a real birds eye photo city.

But it is! I just took it with my pre-historic 1.2MPixel camera without zoom ;)

@Prosper Merime - I normally don't use this feature either, except every once in a while to take some screenshots. But the many LOD's and other graphical glitches are pretty rough on the eyes indeed, plus navigating the map becomes pretty much impossible - so it's for show only.

I've been playing around with First Person Camera's 'isometric' view (just discovered it a few days ago), and I have to admit it looks pretty good (it's always refreshing to see your city from a different perspective). Unfortunately the isometric pov causes lots of issues with world holes along sloped roads (not much to do about that), and it is also too wide for the LOD Toggler to show all assets in 'normal' mode, causing lots of buildings to be shown in their low-res incarnations, but I guess it's also to protect my laptop from blowing up :D

<snip>

I love this! I love this so much! I've got a monster of a PC so I wonder how good this would look on my PC... if I could get CSL to work :P

Also, I want your bridges. You got workshop links?

The bridges can be found here.
I'm pretty sure it will look great on your computer if you have good specs, but even those good specs won't be able to fix the issue with world holes (like those blue lines under roads) or the fact that most buildings will be shown as a LOD rather than the fully detailed model. But despite those shortcomings the isometric perspective still looks fantastic, though.

How do you disable UI in isometric mode?I can't

It does so automatically. There's a setting in the mod's option panel that allows you to hide the UI, but I'm not sure if I ever touched it - doesn't hurt trying, though ;)

I have that enabled but it didn't disable when enabling isometric mode.

Instead i had to use f11 to disable the UI manually.

Foul ball.

It looks good, but there's a tree right in the middle of your baseball field. I don't think that's regulation.

I think it's an option of this one.

Part of my downtown entertainment district. I'm pretty terrible at actually planning and making my cities look nice overall.

Looking at the pictures, CSL has vastly changed from the day it was released. Downtowns looks more realistic now. :O

It most definitely has. Every time I see those magnificent screenshots here or on Reddit it makes me wonder what CO thinks of them: would they've ever imagined or dreamed that the level of realism that can be achieved now was possible in the first place?

I have been lurking about here and there and have been meaning to post pictures of what I was working on from SimCity 4, but never had anything super great to share, but now I have!  Here's are a a few pictures (day and night) for my CBD and promenade in the city I'm currently working on.

Here are a couple shots of the CBD in my latest city, Volantis. It's not finished and it still needs a fair bit of detailing, but this is the first city I really feel comfortable sharing.
