@Judazzz If it weren't for those low res trees in the bottom one, I'd have sworn blind that was a photograph.

@Judazzz WOW! I am amazed by the amount of realism in those screenshots! What is the building next to the tall and quite new office from Feindbold? And what is the fairly tall grey building in the middle of the last two pictures?

I think this Downtown picture will be better

BRACE YOURSELF FOR..................

Hinate's Downtown

Susukino!

The right is Asahikawa(The Core of the Central Business District) the rest is Satsumoke(Commercial Business District)

They form together the District of Susukino

This photo was taken from the industrial district of Perspective Square.

as long I don't have more erros with that GetLeftAndRightLanes thingy, I'll probably renew the Central Hinate Station to a bigger and massive one.

Oh and maybe create the northern and southern stations of Hinate:

(Shin-Hinate-Morayaki and Higashi-Funabate)

Man.. I don't know what I'm going to add in my city...

I thought about adding 2 districts(Hinate Park, Archelogical etc & Ofuna: Low Residential Area with the Susukino Skyline infront lulz..)

tbh my city is uglier than everyone else's in here.

Thanks, guys :)

@Mr_Maison - I always activate the LOD Toggler, but in the isometric view it behaves rather oddly: as you can see some buildings in the distance are detailed, whereas others closer to the 'camera standpoint' are low-res. Same with trees.

@oak street local - I'm not fully sure which one you mean with the first building, but I suspect it's either the Chicago Motor Club or the Brooks Building. The second one is Zed68's Oldstyle Office.

You'll soon have some more choice. ;) Some nice screens Judazz, although I'm still not sold on disabling tonemapping. Every single surface with specular will go totally white.

@Judazzz Thanks! I meant the Chicago Motor Club. I had seen it in the workshop, but it looks way better in your city than on the screenshots there. I will definately try it in my own city soon! I'll check out the oldstyle office as well, that one was totally new to me.

Yeah, if there's one thing I learned from using the Workshop is to never take the included screenshots at face value: I'm using various assets that I'd never subscribe to if I would base my decision on screenshots alone.

@Darf - I agree on the specular issues when disabling tonemapping, but it's a trade-off. It's either poor speculars and great visuals, or good speculars and rather mediocre visuals (imho...)

Hmm dunno, doesn't look that different apart from specular surfaces IMO + night time shots like this are impossible.

Mmm... maybe I need to experiment and play with the various settings a bit more then.
In October I'm going to continue with my mods again, so maybe I can build in a few more settings or toggles for additional finetuning...

I'm glad you did subscribe to them, thanks to your screenshots (and Mathias' asking which buildings were on it) I subbed to a lot of buildings I otherwise would not have subbed to!

Photo of as downtown in my city as you can get. The area of Battery Point. Over the past 50 years, the area has been extensively cleared of tenements and offices and skyscrapers now dominate the area, and thus the city's skyline. The metro station seen is the core hub for all subway services. All services call here. The station consists of 8 platforms. Six terminus platforms facing north, with two lower east-west platforms for the Circle Line.

Where did that map come from?

Cimtographer and Maperative. Cimtographer is a mod that can generate an OSM map file of the city, Maperative is a program that can display OSM files. Must've came when I got Cimtographer or something. Exported it in Maperative as a bitmap and cropped it in. It is missing some of the custom roads and 1-track rails and it's also not displaying transit lines properly. It's also displaying some road types incorrectly but that's because of how I've used them for lane control.

Awesome, thank you. I actually have Cimtographer, but have never enabled it. I can't remember why. I think it had some incompatibilities or something. I've never heard of Maperative. I'll check it out. Thanks for the heads up.

A map viewer (I think Maperative) is included in cimtographer. You just have to run it ;)

pretty nice textures -@Abrams124

cs has potential been a good realistic cs builder if creators keep up that kind work.

WIP city. I'm growing this one organically, so not many skyscrapers yet.

@Judazzz S*** that realistic should be illegal.
