I've been to Galveston, once, and they had something really neat...a stoplight on top of a plus-shaped bridge! It was awesome! Not sure where I should post this, but I guess this is the place; I'm looking for a mediterranean terrain mod, if possible in combination with snow on high elevations so I can still put a ski resort on "the Alps". I read that there were more terraintextures planned for the Columbus terrain mod, could something like this possibly be already in the works?

i would like to request a good game balanced none polluting garbage disposal plant that doesnt give money power or water and does cost relative to exporting garbage(about 1 $ per ton)

Hmm.. I would need a truck-blocker for ground highway and elevated highway, similar to the truck blockers released on stex but for highway, is this possible?

I'd love it if someone could make a custom flag prop/ dat file that i could use as a general flag for an upcomeing CJ. I don't have photoshop yet, brand new computer and i'm slowly getting things into place for the school year.

How about making that "bridged" stoplight into elevated roads. Also, make a transit-enabled (and friendly to city) naval base (complete with funky ways to get into the gate).

Please, no double posting.

1. Single rail tracks are possible as overhanging props, meaning they won't be functional.

2. PEG has made a waterfront kit wich has several transit-enabled naval bases.

I'm looking for a Street/Road template to make 6x6 lots easier. a square with 8 tiles of street on each side. counting to 6 all the time is annoying

I have been searching for a while, and did not find anything equivalent to this. Basically, the city transportation planner allows the user to plan the transportation network, without actually laying out the roads / trains / subway. I had great trouble planning massive cities because of the transport networks. I know that I can layout the transport networks before zoning it, but it costs a lot; subway and highways can be a huge drain for a city just starting out.

The idea is to layout the transport network using lines of different colors. For example, we can represent roads by one color (green), highways (blue), trains (orange) and GLR/subway(brown). Then we can layout the these, by just painting these on the city. One way roads and avenues would have arrows to indicate directions too. It should alter nothing, cost nothing, and come with its own removal tool. Bulldozing should also remove it. The only constraint is that highways and trains should follow the rules for turning.

This would help plan the city a lot easier, and cost nothing. Think of it as zoning for transport, but doesnt develop into anything. It would even help in region view.

If there is something similar to this, can somebody link it?

Afew ideas:

First is a custom roundabout.

My city layout pretty much looks like this:

But this creates a lot of intersections. Two main problems: the four intersections in the middle, and the two intersections where the one ways and avenues intersect. When using one ways, like in the pic, NAM tries to make a roundabout in the middle. While this sounds like it would solve my problem, it doesnt quite cut it. It is really ugle and still has traffic lights. This is what happens:

Can someone make a modd for a better roundabout in this situation? And possible can someone make some sort of piece to eliminate the two sets of intersections created when the one ways cross the avenues? im trying to decrease my commute time.

Next idea:

Cogeo's SemiTransparent Train Stations are amazing, but could someone make the same thing with freight stations? the same sizes would be great. 4x1 (one track), 4x2 (one track), 6x4 (two tracks). The link to the original is https://www.simtropolis.com/stex/index.cfm?id=16436.

Final idea:

I would love to put canals into my city, but I want real water so they can be transit enabled. this is kind of hard to terraform. Is it possible to create a lot that lowers the ground level so low that there is water? this would basically be an altered hole digging lot. this way, I could place these lots, and the ground level would go down so there is water. i could make straight canals with this. real canals!

Any help would be appreciated. I would really love some feedback so i at least know someone read this. i hope this is possible. thanks a lot!

Could there be any chance of a "Perma Demand" mod? By perma demand I mean that there would be a mod to make all demand be skyhigh all the time. This would be perfect for creating pure eyecandy cities.

Can someone give me a link to the mod that lets you make farm patches smaller than 4x4 ?

i searched the forums and the site itself but the search function here is awful.

I once downloaded the mod from the forums, it'd let you build farmland smaller as the 4x4 that the game holds as a minimal size.

I've been looking and haven't been able to find a mod that controls traffic. I have a very old mod that allows you to plop "NO TRUCKS" on streets, roads, one-way, and avenues, I use it to keep trucks from taking shortcuts through residental areas.

Now, I'm finding I have the same issue with regional bus services. The automata has the busses exit a highway near the city limit (the west side for example), take back streets, then get back on the highway on the north side of town!

I haven't been able to find any solutions. Suggestions?

I would like to see a modular university. A HUGE modular university, with all the different types of buildings you would expect from a major university. And I would like to see it more modern than the old Maxis one also. Thanks!

id like to request a mod at least i think it is

but i would like instead of the default avenue median like low wealth is grass and high are bushes i would like tall palm trees to replace it it will add a nice touch to the city no matter if it is ghetto or rick or urban or rural but yea id really appricate it if someone would do this for me if you are intersted pm me plz thanks!!!!

I would really like a mod that had realistic construction of non RCI buildings and roads. How come RCI buildings take time to build, but buildings you buy just appear? Roads do too, even though it appears that they're being constructed it really takes no ingame time at all. I realize that this may be asking a bit too much. A (hopefully) simpler one would be to stop this ridiculous "I was in the bath and my house collapsed on me" type situations. In real life people have a time period, a few months, to leave their house. Mabye there could be a demolition zot over RCI buildings that are going to be redeveloped over or demolished by the mayor, and clicking on it will tell you how much time it has left, or mabye you could even change the amount of time there has to be for buildings to be demolished, but I'd settle for anything other than buildings disappearing all over when there's redevelopment.
