Terribly sorry, but there won't be an update this week. Just now 2 hours of work disappeared when the game crashed, and I'm busy the rest of the week. I'll try to squeeze in an update on saturday though, hopefully with some day pics. Next week I'm going to Berlin so there might not be any updates until July 16. Sorry.

Update will be delayed a day or two... Sorry.

A nice rural mosaic (pretty huge too, if you're on dial-up it will take a while). More later this week. Probably Wednesday, but who knows I would also like to take the opportunity to thank pici.se for their amazing picture hosting service.

TinySim's Eyecandy - Take Two Well, last summer I started an eyecandy thread. Unfortunately school and computer problems made it hard for me to update it and I eventually lost interest and the thread was forgotten. Now summer is back however, and I decided to give it another go. This time I've planned it a bit more. This still won't be a story CJ and it absolutely won't be a simulation CJ - it's still all about the eyecandy. Therefore, I use my own demand mod, the BAT bank and NAM with 10xCommute5xSpeed. The Region The region I've decided to use is 3x3 New Haven, with the Columbus terrain mod, Columbus trees and one of Peg's rock mods. I've prepared the region, placing trees and the basic network layout. Here's how it looks: Contents 1. First update - Rural Mosaic [Page 1] 2. Second update - Rural Mosaic (Continued into town) [Page 1] 3. Third update - More from the same town [Page 1]

*opens google earth* Haha, I know where you live (Plochingen is as close as i can get ) Anyway, I usually number roads like we do in sweden: Motorways/Highways have their E-number (E4, E6, E65), that number follows the road through europe. Smaller roads have regional numbers that are just numbers, like 9, 101 etc. Sweden is very small so we don't need to number our roads Now you guess where i live

Avenue Roundabouts Development Thread
TinySim replied to Haljackey's topic in NAM & Transit Networks
Technically wouldn't it be as easy to do this as it was to do the regular roundabouts? I mean if you do the same thing but with the avenue it should work, shouldn't it? -
Sorry for bumping but the edit won't bring the topic up and as you see I have some new information in there... Edit: Also, I just noticed something strange: My PC has 1GB physical RAM. I have one page file (Virtutal Memory) of 4GB. Yet, the task manager claims that I have 6GB total memory. Where did that extra GB come from?
-
Awful place to get a typo :/ I meant to say "which is now removed". Edit: Anyway, I tried again and it looks like SC4 ignores my page file, as I let the Task manager run in the background, and it told me memory usage peaked at around 915MB out of 6538MB total (including page file). If I look in the exception report however, it says there was only 60MB left which means that SC4 either thought it used 6578MB RAM or though there only was 975MB installed. Either way both are wrong, and I can see no reason for it to crash. Please help!

Muncher: 1GB RAM, 3GHz P4, ATI X850XT, highest setting I have is on medium, can't turn off AA and AF (will download ATI tray tools and try though) N_O_Body: Already did that (read first post, page file == VM) Edit: Nah, disabling AA and AF didn't do a thing...
-
I tried doing that, unfortunately the game crashed even quicker when I did... looks like I'll have to spend some money on new RAM
-
Well, the game keeps crashing, it really makes me not want to play SC4 anymore It crashes after I press the lay button and move to a developed area, building in paused mode and moving over development when paused works fine, as does pressing play in undeveloped areas. I have increased my page file size to 4GB. Here's an excerpt from the exception reports: Access Violation, 84MB RAM free (Out of 1024MB) Access Violation, 24MB RAM free (Out of 1024MB) Access Violation, 84MB RAM free (Out of 1024MB) Access Violation, 52MB RAM free (Out of 1024MB) Access Violation, 56MB RAM free (Out of 1024MB) Access Violation, 84MB RAM free (Out of 1024MB) Access Violation, 96MB RAM free (Out of 1024MB) Access Violation, 72MB RAM free (Out of 1024MB) Access Violation, 104MB RAM free (Out of 1024MB) To me it looks like SC4 won't use the page file, but maybe it just doesn't print it... And please, no replies stating that I should "simply buy more RAM", I already got 1GB that should be enough... the game worked half a year ago. After that I got a virus, which is now removed, but game performance was never restored
