thanks so much for the help. I still cant figure out how to make a neighbor connection with the canals EDIT: also, I have been looking around and I can not find the base canal set. It looks like I need the BSC Brick Canal set, but that is not currently on the STEX. I just need some canal walls and functional ferries/ports/etc. Thanks so much.

I'm sorry if this has been discussed before. I searched the forums and didn't see anything. I just downloaded the new NAM today, and I have some questions regarding the Simgoober functional canals and the ground light rail on avenues. I am new to the functional canal thing, and I was just wondering where to get the ports and stuff. Is that provided in NAM? I cant find it. Also, I cant figure out how to make the network connections. I chose the simgoober version because i have had good experience with other simgoober stuff. Does anyone have a preference between the two provided functional canals? Also, I have GLR on avenues with a rail overpass right at the boarder of the city. Is there a way to make this tile a network connection also? (see link for picture of exact configuration). Where can I get GLR on Avenue stations? http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/34/fredericksvillenov15199.png/ One last thing. You may also notice that I am using the awesome semi-transparent train stations. Would there be a way, perhaps using the lot editor, to do a simply change to make a version that supports freight trains (or both)? Thanks so much for the help.

I had a few questions. I just reinstalled sim city on my new computer and I was surprised to find that the game was still very slow, despite my upgraded system. So . . . do turning lanes slow down the game? If so, are the turning lanes functional or are they just for looks? Also, what pathfinding plugin do you suggest to pick during installation for the best performance possible without slowing down the game? Finally, I have already worked on a city with the new NAM w/ turning lanes and the perfect pathfinding x5 plugins. If I reinstall the NAM with different plugins, will it screw up my city? If I want to change something, do I have to start my city over? Thanks

I hope i am in the right forum, but I was wondering if someone could make a few things for me. first I would like a sunken rail set, similar to this project: https://www.simtropolis.com/stex/details.cfm?id=19941&v=1. I would like one like this, but it would only connect to one side of the sunken area. that way you could either use two and puth them next to each other to accomodate two rails in the sunken area, or you could use it if the rail is right up against the city boundary. It would also be nice to have a sunken frieght station of the same type. In addition, I would really like a set of parks that could cover sunken highways and rails. it would be similar to this: https://www.simtropolis.com/stex/index.cfm?id=14049. It would be nice to have a park and a plaza set. Thanks so much.

I cant find the mod i am looking for. I remember seeing it a while ago, and now i cant find it. it was a mod that cut the population in half. anyone know where it is?

looks as if this is dead. too bad, i was really excited about this too

with the new NAM, there are new lots which have rail under road connections, and then other lots to bring the rail back to the surface. why not do this with highways?

Here are some pictures of my city: population 1.6 million and still room to grow. And here is the region so far: 4.2 million population, and only 4 tiles populated! at this rate (1.6 million per tile and 16 tiles), i will have a region of 25.6 million! and eventually the blank space will become water . . . Please keep all images 800x600 or less.--hym

i love it. i live in west seattle, so i cant wait to see my house! i can help too! you mentioned that you didnt know where industries were. if you travel East on the west seattle bridge, to your left (North) you will see a large sea port area (west waterway area), and to your right (south) there is an industrial area. But the rest of west seattle is almost all res and small comercial. Another detail: the west seattle golf course shares a parking lot with the west seattle stadium. So on the map, looking at the top left corner of the shaded region labeled west seattle golf course, there is actually a stadium there. maybe add the sim city minor league stadium there or something. If you are planninng on making a city off the map you have, then your west seattle will be too small. a large portion is cut of in the picture, including all of the lincoln park area, and much of beach drive. I think it would be fun to add vashon island in with the map, just for some island game play. this way, the many ferry terminals found in seattle will actually be of some use in the game. Hope this helps, and im excited to see the final product.

I cant seem to find the right forum to post this under, but i think i finally got it right. i want to make the ant network a real undergound highway system. i dont know anyting about modding , but it seem to me that it would be possible to make the ANT road appear on a different level than normal. There has to be something that tells the game that the subway is on one level, and roads are on another. If this network could be altered so that it is not on ground level, then it could become a real underground highway network. On and off ramps could be used, much like the ones found with the boston underground highway pack. Also, the ant network could be a one way highway so that placing two in opposite directions simulates the exact same setup as a regular highway. is it possible?
