Yes, thank you, so happy to see that!  I also love the fantasy church.

I am only still laying out transportation backbone but I'm keeping in mind all the places to incorporate these beautiful statues!  Every big city train station for example...

Bridging the gap

You know, your pictures where you show each step are not only really cool to see what you're doing but they're also like mini-tutorials that can help people make their own similar transitions!

Thanks! I show the progress pics here- as this is well, show us what you're working on :P

I made this thread to show how I am / we are working on things

The finished products are showcased in the other show us your threads.

Regardless, glad you like! I have many more progress pics archived on my albums- but I show the most meaningful pics here. Else there'd be a flood of / too many images

@JulianMIA I really like the retexturing you're doing! *:thumb:

@Honolulu This project looks very interesting. It's very difficult to create crop textures that don't appear repetitive in distant zoom. Sometimes I feel like exporting rural props but I think we already have enough *:D.

@Barroco Hispano there's a couple of files you previously uploaded that still need restoration that we're wondering about.  It'd be great if you could reupload them or take a look at them in the Restoration Tracker. Your work is so great and it'd be awesome to see it all back!

    Hello, people.

Here are two pictures made in two cities: Holyday and Pepinos.

The first picture shows the city center of Holyday and the second picture shows the beaches of the river that passes in Pepinos.

    My best wishes to ya.

I'm still experimenting with rural textures. I need to figure out how to tone down the intensity of the colors.

I think, with some infill and further development, they might actually look OK, right now it contrasts with the terrain too much, but once that's been covered, it could be fine. My general sense is that the textures are if anything too detailed, after all regardless of texture size, they have to fit within x pixels of game real estate. HD Terrain mods do look really good, but there are limitations especially with lower zooms.

I have been working on some different looks for my elevated HRW and I think this is the one, I like the recolored concrete pillars and the modern concrete wall side railings.  Might tweak the color a little more, it may be just a bit too blue.

Love the treatment you give to your rail and transport networks, it really adds a sense of realism.

Which again is too bad because on the far side of the bridge it looks very cool.

It should be something you can fix in the S3D, I'd have to look up the settings, but each Material (Texture) has transparency settings. It may be you need to add a base layer to the bridge, like concrete or some such, so that any transparency on the edges of the RRW Texture isn't leading to actual holes. If you have such a layer, maybe it's Alpha settings are not correct, it's a complex area.

Additionally, did you perhaps use a Puzzle Piece Road Viaduct piece here?, the one with the white sidewalks? That's an easy enough fix to get your sidewalk on there if so. Just that the PP textures have different IDs from the later Flex ones.

Head over to my Lot and Mod Shack to keep abreast of my latest developments.

Do you like custom textures, but don't like all the work involved creating them?, take a look at the Texture Automation options here. Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

New to the NAM? Check out my tutorials on YouTube. Latest upload: How to: RHW - MHO Roundabout Interchanges. (Nov 25).

p.s. - I'm MGB over on SC4D and a member of the NAM team.
