Wow, that is some superb modeling job! Easily your best so far. It would be even better if those light grey plates were oriented in the same direction as the overall structure. I also wonder if the roof texture for the two round storage buildings could be made to look a little less repetitive. These models are absolutely fantastic and impressive, plus they are really something you don't see every day. Sometimes I feel that only some of the textures would need a tiny bit more work to make the step from "really impressive" to "absolutely awesome". I'm pretty sure that you have the skills, but of course it's your choice... creating all this must take a lot of time and effort, and what worth is it if it's no longer fun for you? So it's entirely your call, I just thought I'd mention it. *:)

Either way, this is looking really mouthwatering! *:thumb:

Thanks for the kind comment and the suggestions. *:thumb:

Oh well, some textures could be better. Sometimes it's just the time that matters, and sometimes I just do not feel like searching forever for textures or creating them. But since I do not claim to put the perfect buildings in a pixel game, that's fine with me. I just enjoy passing the time.
I then leave the perfection to others and then look at the results...... *;)

Hello friends. As you can see I have many buildings designed by me and I have put textures for photos taken.

I would like to know if this can be rendered better because, as in the picture that shows the green arrow, it is a @Diego Del Llano building and it looks much better than mine.
Someone knows what this is ?
Do you know if it can be improved?
I see many models of people that are absolutely incredible and mine do not look like anything ..
I hope your help, thanks!

The buildings in red are my creations.

Hello *:)

I think there's a serious problem in your models that leads to other minor issues that make your buildings look so different compared to other creators: the facades of the buildings you make are composed only of real textures. This way there is no 3D view of the facades with the windows and it creates a strange effect. My biggest tip is to start modeling the facades of the buildings rather than just use textures.
I once told you and I've seen other people doing the same, you should create a topic of your own works so we can keep track of your progress and make it easier to help you.

Sounds perfectly understandable. *:) In this case, all that's left to say is that I wish you fun and good times making stuff, that I'm grateful for you sharing it so generously with us, and that I'm glad we have you around here. Keep 'em coming!

I have these buildings designed by me. But I have not uploaded them to the page because I think they would not be as good as I would like to share them.

If someone wants me to pass my files, I will not have any problem in passing them. If you want to improve them or change them for the better, the truth would be fantastic.

Thanks for your interest.  :D

Looking at your work makes we want to stop working on my CBD and passenger rail networks and work on my industrial and container port areas!  Seems more opportunity for detail in industry and heavy commercial...  Super nice work as always.

Thank you, No, I have no intention improving them. 3D effect ? Probably it´s about highlighting the corners or the other way around accenting the with a dark black contrast linning at the corners so somekind of contrast or different ? Futuristic cities may be more brightfull less historic, turning this into  a less important issue. Say I don´t know anything about modeling or rendering, they still look good in a different enviroment, there worse cases of rendering where the texture aren´t aswell as one wants Still yet how high would you like to lay the standard, how much time and effort would you like to be spent ? Varied some very good, some good and maybe less good make a good contrast !

Sincerely yours,

kschmidt

Stale mate Thread pole !

Today Yes/No votes are about level. Little discusion should there be about post with pictures of fairly finished work wich aswell clutter up this thread as they clearly shouldn´t be here ! Wich way should this thread  go Show what you are working on, Show us your´re gameplay or Show us what you are developing or not any change. Obviously Yes and No need a satisfying answer to this question ?

Sincerely yours,

kschmidt

Phil! Such a pleasure to see a SimCity picture from you again. *:golly: Looks like you haven't forgotten how it's done, either!

Btw, @Haljackey: You keep using this rather bright, modern two-track rail station... Do you remember what it's called and where you got it from? I seem to remember it was a Japanese BAT, but I might be mistaken. The reason I'm asking is that it might benefit from a little toning down, and since this is basically what I've been doing the past weeks, I felt like this building would be a candidate for my long-term "might be worth a shot" list.

Very slowly, I am progressing. Since each building is unique and I can not use anything twice, I have the feeling to work at a snail's pace.
Now finally the coal slide to the boiler house is a bit further and the desulphurisation plant is standing.
Let's see what I'm going to do next. In between, I still work on the cooling tower and at the first boiler hall.

Yep! That would be a great fix to the station! Adding some grit to it would make it even better!

Boiler - House 1 is ready. The connection over the street fits.

PS: I need Vattenfall (the power plant operator) cars. Vans and cars. Someone here who is good at building cars and making some Props for me?

I haven't posted much in the last months on this forum at all, so I guess I should do it again. Recently, I've been working on placing/growing farms in a hilly area (4 city tiles) and in a warmer climate; mostly fruit orchards, olive groves, and vineyards (as well as the only city in my region where rice is being grown), occasionally separated by oak-chestnut forests. Obviously, this is still a WIP, I need do place some MMP's around the creeks, and the huge empty spot to the south will eventually become a big town.

    Water recycling.

At the discharge structure, the return of the main cooling water and the secondary cooling water takes place in the "Alte Süderelbe". The water is returned over 200 meters cascade surface and thereby enriched to 80 percent with oxygen.
