Rusty industry is growing really nicely, thanks to @Simmer2, who gave his new toys to me to play with (the LOTs and models all of them are his work). They are growing on stage one currently, so one needs to make them "historical" if one wants to keep them. But they are working fine, providing some dirty jobs... well, not that dirty... before you would think something else...

Beautiful models and props, my upcoming industrial lots are waiting for these rusty beauties...

Mont Real Woods 02 !

Mont Real Woods National Park conscist as shown a hilly terrain mountain like area aswell of a more flat land lake landscape on the northern outskirts !

Mont Real Forestry wood industry exploited part of the forest till the ´70. Railroad now is tourisme ride to have a alternative to automotive transport !

All green and lean !

Excelent design ! Real big 757-777 or Airbus 380 maybe won´t serve this airport as infra structure maybe a bit to tight. Apron, taxiway and runway need to be wider. Mayor regional airport it serves it´s purpose perfectly, well done !

Repetitive, growing a city with a as wide collection of buildings takes time seting up, demolition too much plop maybe more secure Yet it isn´t as wide disturbing as it can be in this case, little groups seperated by at least some distance, make us of the city design. SimCity 4 growable bat´s random choice in the begining and later dictated by the desired economical and tax policy if set in  a staircase style often lead to similair results. The answer lay´s into the question asking yourself or you want those growable to pop up whem installing bat´s. Inner city landmarks and nice harbour give much needed variaty well done !

At this rate I will be replacing all Maxis buildings (not). Rust IS beautiful!! This time I made several ID2 lots and they do grow nicely.

Thanks buddy, design took me a while.. It's actually built on a large tile, so there's a lot of detail missing... I did do a bit of research regarding sizes and made the airport suitable to all aircraft as seen on the images below... The Runway is a 4 tile wide mod over the standard 2 tile runway set and there is more than plenty taxi space for the A380... but there's a realm of fantasy as much as realism in it, as you're limited to exactly how real you can make it.....

 

Below the A380 is 5 tiles wide and my taxiway is 6 tiles wide.. I also took into account the size of pushback required for the 747 to the terminal building itself..

Below you can see the 4 tile wide runway with the slight overhang of wings

and below is an A380 on Heathrow airports runway with the slight wing overhang

 

I did check all this prior to building, as I said I like a degree of realism within the sizes that's available to me... Where it does slightly enter the realms of fantasy however is in the runways length... from doing a bit of digging the general consensus is that it's 100 tiles per 1 mile.. Apparently the A380 needs 1.8 miles to operate, however the aircraft has landed and taken off from my local airport that has a 1.6 mile long runway, so it's possible.. My runway is only 135 tiles long, it would suggest it's only 1.35 miles long... sooo this is where I just need to imagine the runway is long enough as it fits the rest of the scale of my other islands that surround the airport (Still all pretty rough as i've not long started it)

 

 

I’ll maybe go back however and lengthen the southern runway to accurately handle the larger jets at some point... At this present moment, I need a break from airports and they take up a huge amount of space done accurately
