The LEX website doesn't seem to be working. When i clicked on a link to the LEX website, all I got was this error:Warning: mysqli_connect(): (HY000/2002): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2) in /home/jeronij/public_html/csxlex/config.php on line 6

It seems likely this is still an intermittent issue then, and maybe being worked on to resolve whatever is going on. Earlier for me the LEX loaded normally, but the forums threw the same connection error as @Lucario Boricua posted above. As of this post, it's good to see both are still loading fine as @twalsh102 reported.

Hopefully it's nothing too serious, and all the best to everyone behind the scenes working towards a solution.

I'm not entirely sure what is going on technically at the moment, but the databases on both the forums on the LEX are going completely haywire.  There's been some issues on that end for awhile, which have been starting to flare up considerably of late.  These sorts of database issues are not something that I can address on my end, either.

On top of it all, there are some additional logistical complications going on behind the scenes, which significantly impact any efforts to address ongoing technical issues at this time.  Given that, I would expect that the constant cycle of uptime/downtime and login issues will unfortunately continue for awhile.

^ Yep, I've been seeing that same error too on SC4D. The LEX is up, but things are taking forever to download, despite a speed test showing normal speeds. I just got a new computer and want to play SC4 again, so it's a bit annoying having to wait forever for all the BSC related dependencies to download. Well, at least it's not totally down.

The wiki is still up and running, am wondering if its got anything to do with them changing to using "Create a Forum" for their site hosting ... its got some interesting conditions in its terms of service

That link's been there a pretty long time, actually--it's tied in with an ad plugin for SMF that was installed on the site several years ago.

Look likes SC4Devotion Forum was OK right now. Also for SC4Lex website, except download history (last download date) was showed nothing (You have never downloaded this) instead the last date was you download the file. Plus, you can't add comments (Feedback for the author) which was nothing showed on list....

Its the membership side that is still mucked up. You can view all postings (upto June 9th) if you log out or view the site in Incognito mode.

So basically the part that stores the member hashes on the server has broken in some way. Something like that happened to me on Steam once...

While I can't go into too much detail at this juncture, there's two potential outcomes for SC4 Devotion in the coming days: (a) the senior staff assumes ownership of the site and finds it a suitable new home, dealing with whatever technical gremlins remain after the move, or (b) the contract with HostGator expires and the site shuts down on June 19th, and the "evacuation plan" goes into effect.

Long story short, we've been dealing with quite a lot behind the scenes recently, predating the technical issues that have been primary topic of speculation here.  The database problems are nothing more than a poorly-timed cherry on top.  Our discussions of what to do with the site have been going on for awhile now, and the hope had been that we'd have a final resolution and something to announce by this point (preferably some flavor of Option A), allowing a clean and orderly transition.  However, the details remain fluid, the window is closing, and I felt it better to give the general public some information about the current state of affairs, as messy as it may be, rather than allowing speculation to snowball into chaos.

Rest assured that we've taken extensive precautionary measures with respect to critical site content, in the event the site does close.  Fingers crossed we can still work out a deal in the next couple days to continue the site in some capacity, and I won't have to go into further detail about those measures.

I'd also like to thank everyone for the outpouring of support and concern for the site over the past couple weeks.

LEX is currently working for me. The dependency tracker is a bit of a godsend for this sort of situation. I'm trying to download as many dependency zips as possible for any content I may want to potentially use in the future.
